hey everyone, new chapter :D

 

Chapter 4;

I ran down the street towards Jasmine's house. I ran up the drive way and knocked on the door. Her mom answered.

"Hi Mrs. Garza! Is Jasmine here?"

"Of course Alina. Come in." she said with a smile.

"Jasmine!!!" she shouted down the hall.

Jasmine came running down the hall.

"Hi Lina!"

"You girls have fun." Mrs. Garza said.

Jasmine and I went to her room and she shut the door.

"So...what do you wanna tell me?"

I looked at her, confused.

"You never come over without calling first unless you have something important to tell me."

I did one of those nod and shrug things.

"Anyway, you were saying?" she said.

"Oh yeah. Guess where my parents are taking me and Alyssa for vacation?" Alyssa was my little sister, who was a sophmore, a junior next year.

"Where?" she said.

"L.A.!!!"

I watched Jasmine's face go from disbelief to excitment.

"OMG! Maybe you'll meet Madonna!"

"Puh-leeze Madonna spends all her free time in Europe."

"Oh right." Her face lit up again. "Maybe you'll meet Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt!"

I laughed and rolled my eyes. Jasmine was obsessed with Hollywood stars.

"Well I gotta go and pack." I said, "We're leaving in two days."

"Okay Lina. Bye. You HAVE to e-mail me all about it okay?"

"I will." I said and I walked out of the door. As I exited the house, I thought about all the stuff I would need. I walked home, ran inside, grabbed my laptop, went to my bedroom, and began to type.

Dear Diary,

Okay. How AMAZING is this?! My parents are taking Alyssa and I to L.A. for vacation!!! This is gonna be great. In the mean time, tomorrow's the last day of school. I guess you could say it's one of those bittersweet moments, mostly because I'm graduating. Luckily, I won't miss graduation because we had it a week ago. Which is really weird. Then again, who ever said my school was normal? I told Jasmine about the trip and she didn't seem to mind, mostly because of the fact that I could meet Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. *rolls eyes* You know what? I'm going to make a list of things I will accomplish on this trip.

1. Get a new wardrobe style

2. Fall In love *sigh*

3. Meet a star

4. ....I'll work on that one later...

I closed my laptop and sighed. Those are some high expectations of things to accomplish. But, I was gonna get them done.

Chapter five;

Beep! Beep! Beep! I hit the off button on my alarm clock and dragged myself out of bed. Normally it doesn’t take too much to get me to wake up, but considering I didn’t get much sleep last night, I was still pretty tired. I was tossing and turning most of the night with so many thoughts running through my head. The last day of school, my trip to Los Angeles, meeting Brad and Angelina, and most of all my list. I really wanted to change. Not completely, but I didn’t want to be the same old boring Alina that I was now. I’m not the type of girl that would abandon her beliefs to fit in, but I figure that a little change cant hurt. And what better time for change than now?

I quickly put on the outfit I chose the night before. I wanted to look at least half decent for the last day of school, so I picked out some of my better choices. I paired a light blue blouse with some skinny jeans and blue flats to match my shirt. Once I was dressed, I went downstairs to get something to eat. My dad had already left for work and my mom hadn’t woken up yet, so the house was pretty quiet. Well except for Alyssa who was sitting at the table eating a poptart.

“Are you excited?” She asked me happily. I came over and sat down next to her setting my breakfast, a chocolate chip poptart, down on the table.

“For what? School or L.A.?” I asked her as I took a bite out of the poptart.

“L.A.!” She smiled. I laughed and could tell that she was pretty excited herself.

“Of course I’m excited!” I said obviously. “It’s practically my favorite place in the world.” I thought for a second about my trip there years ago and how great it was, and then was interrupted by my sister.

“Well now I finally get to find out if it’s as great as you say.” She said finishing up her breakfast.

“Yeah. You’re going to love it.” I glanced over at the clock, realizing that I had to finish getting ready. I got up from my seat and put the rest of my poptart in my mouth. I hurried back upstairs as I chewed and swallowed.

First I stopped in the bathroom and brushed my teeth. Once I got to my room I turned on my laptop and set it on my bed. As it started up I brushed through my hair and put on a touch of makeup. Maybe that was another thing I could change, wear a little more makeup. I finished my face and sat down with my laptop on my lap. I clicked on my diary and began typing.

Dear Diary,

 

Last day of school is today. I’m nervous, but excited. I want to make a good final impression. I don’t want to leave as the boring girl that has one friend and is always on her computer. I want to show people that I’m more than that. And tomorrow I’m leaving for Los Angeles. It’s going to be great. I can’t wait to revisit all the places I saw with my grandmother. I can show Alyssa them too. She never got to go since she was too young when I went. Oh and maybe I can take a picture with Tom Cruise or someone for Jasmine. Haha. So my list, trust me I didn’t forget about it. I’m going to at least try to do those things. Who knows how it’s going to turn out. But hey, it doesn’t hurt to dream. Oh and don’t worry, you’re definitely coming with me. No matter how much I change, I’ll always need you. This is the one place where I fit in perfectly. You know all of my secrets and hold all of my emotions. You are the place where no one will ever be able to see. No one can judge me here. You know that. Well, I’m off to school. I don’t want to miss the bus.

I shut my laptop and set it on my bed. I grabbed my backpack and hurried downstairs. Alyssa was on her way out the door. I walked out behind her and shut the door just as the bus pulled up. Last day of school, here I come.
