They walked down to the beach. The sand was very hot.
Lily asked the man if she could rent an umbrella and some beach chairs. After everything was settled, she got her iPod out and started listening to it. After listening to a couple songs, she noticed her cousins were playing with a little boy and his sandcastle. She took out her earphone's and walked over there. "You guys, I don't think this boy wants you messing with his nice sandcastle" she said, getting down to their level. "No, Frankie's our new friend" Jake said, looking up at Lily. "Alright, well, be good. If you need anything, I'll be over there" she said, pointing at the beach chair. She got up and went back to the umbrella. She put her iPod back on and started listening to it. A few minutes later, she saw all of them heading toward the water. She ran over to them. "You guys know your not supposed to be going in the water" she told them. They all went back to their sandcastle. "Thanks" Lily heard a voice say from behind her. It was a guy. "Frankie know hes not allowed in the water" he said. "Ya, my cousins are the same way" Lily said, "I'm surprised he's letting them play with him, they usually want their way" "Frankies the same way. They're perfect for each other!" Joe said. They both laughed. "We'll, I guess I better go, its almost time for dinner" Lily said. "Ya, same here, oh ya, I'm Joe" he said. "I'm Lily, nice meeting you" Lily said. "You too" Joe smiled. Lily yelled for the kids to come to her. They started walking toward the beach house. "So were you nice to Frankie?" Lily asked. "Ya, were going to play with him after dinner" said Kate. "Were going to go crabbing" Jake jumped in. When they walked in, they say Lily's brother and her cousin playing guitar hero. "Dinnertime" said their grandma, Lou. The little kids had hotdogs that were cut up with a piece of cheese and bread. The older kids had steak. Before they ate, they all said Grace. After all of them finished, they got some fishing nets. "Lily, will you watch the little ones while we eat?" her aunt, Julie, asked. "Sure, we were just about to go to the beach anyways" Lily said, holding her fish net. All her cousins and her walked down to the beach. Frankie and his brothers were there. Including Joe. The sun was setting on the horizon. There was a mix of orange, yellow, and purple. It was really beautiful. "Oh, hey Lily" said Joe, surprised that he would ever see her again. "Ya, were back" Lily said, sort of embarassed. "Well, I would lik you to meet my brothers, Nick and Kevin" He said, pointing to them. "Hey" Lily said with a little wave, "You know, you guys remind me of a band, not sure who" Lily said, trying to remember. "Ya, I don't who that would be" said Joe, trying to keep his identity a secret. "Lets go" said Kate, impatiently. They all walked along the shore, in search of crabs. The kids walked ahead, and the teens stayed behind. "Look, I see one!" Lily shouted, pointing to the water. She took her net and tried to get it. After a little battle of the fish nets with Joe, she finally caught it. She dumped it into the bucket Kate was holding. "I got a crab!" Lily said, proudly. "The only reason you caught is because I let you" Joe said, trying to get credit. "Okay, sure" Lily said sarcastically. After about ten crabs later, it was completely dark. They decided to go back where they started. "So what do we do with them?" Frankie asked. "Put them back" said Nick. They all held the heavy bucket and poured them into the water. "Well, I guess we'd better go, it's 9:00" Lily said. They said their goodbyes and walked back to the house. The kids went upstairs to see their moms. The dads were watching a football game in the basement. Lily put her pajamas on and walked back downstairs. She sat on the couch and turned on Disney. A "Living the Dream" episode was on. She heard a knock on the door. She walked over and opened it. It was Joe. "You left this" he said, holding a fish net. "Thanks, I would have never rembered" Lily said, with a little chuckle. "Well, goodnight" Joe said, trying to think of something to say. He started to walk down the stairs. "Goodnight, Mr.Jonas" Lily said. He turned around and flashed a big smile.
"Were here" Lily's mom said as they drove into the beachhouse's parking lot. "Finally" Lily muttered as she gathered her stuff. She got out of the car. It was going to be a great vacation. She always looked forward to spending time with her relatives. She walked along the black pavement, loooking for the house with the numbers 261 on it. Once she found it, she walked up the long flight of stairs leading to the porch. She opened the door and was immediatly greeted by all her younger cousins. "Hey Lily, will you play dolphins with me?" her seven year old cousin, Kate asked, "No! I want her to play hide and seek with me!" her other seven year old cousin, Jake whined. "I'll play all your games, just let me put my stuff up." Lily said and walked upstairs. She looked for the bedroom with twin beds, where her and her brother would be staying. She walked in and put her stuff away. She remembered how she promised herself she would find true love this summer. "Will you take us to the beach?" Kate asked, followed by all her other young cousins. "Sure, lets go" Lily said and took Kates hand.
