What I Go To School For
She was gorgeous with brown locks and equally brown eyes. She spoke with such grace and her voice was husky, causing it to reply over and over in his head. He wanted her more than anything. But he knew that if he told anyone that they would laugh at him. She was a senior, one of the most popular and yet most out there girls in the grade, while he was a freshman.
Her voice is echoed in my mind
I count the days till she is mine
Can't tell my friends 'cause they will laugh
I love a girl from senior class
She walked past his math class one day and the smile she wore caused him to sigh. He wanted her but she was to busy, trying to go to college, trying to get away from this place, not even noticing him. He wanted to spend the rest of his days with her, he wanted to go to prom with her, he wanted to be with her. It just stunk that he couldn't drive and that she would have to drive them everywhere.
I daydream through my freshman math
While she fills our her college apps
I'll show her a world where we belong
But she'll have to drive us to the prom
He hated school, except for her, she was his reason for going to school each day. His friends laughed at him and told him that he was crazy. He even said it himself but she was amazing and he didn't really care what they all said. Because she was going to be his one day and that was all that mattered. She smiled at him in the hallway when he helped her pick up her books, someone had ran into her, and after that day he was always greeted with a hi.

She has a boyfriend, someone who had a good four years on him. But that didn't faze him at all. Her boyfriend had been at college and had been gone for a few months. Which meant she was free game to him and he was going to use that to his advantage. After all he was there and her boyfriend wasn't. He just had to have a reason to go over to her house.
Her boyfriend's just turning nineteen
But that doesn't bother me
He's back at college out of town
I find a reason to go round
One day out of pure boredom he made his way over to her house and climbed the tree right outside of her window. She had been crying and he really wanted to know why but he didn't want to push her. She looked up and spotted him sitting there on the limb of the tree and she smiled softly waving at him as he stared at her.
I climb a tree outside her home
To make sure she is alone
She looks up and sees me there
Still I can't help but stop and stare
She was his reason for going back to that horrible place. He hated it there, the kids teased him but she made it all better. She always managed to have a huge smile on her face when she saw him. They chatted and while his friends still thought he was crazy, he knew he was crazy for her. She was amazing and his reason for going to school.

Their friendship soon blossomed into something more. They were spotted all over together. And everyone at their school could tell that something was defiantly going on between the pair. She’d zone out a lot and when she’d zone back in she’d blush and mummer something that no one understands. It didn’t take long for her to give in and tell him the words that he wanted to hear.
“Joe you’re what I go to school for.”
Everyone that you see all day knows you're looking at me in a different way
I guess that's why my marks are getting so high
I can see those tell tale signs telling me that I was on your mind

She chose him finally and he was excited, he wanted to be with her more than anything at all. It didn’t matter that she was three years older, or that she was graduating in a few short months. He sat in her car after school one day and they waved goodbye to all of the other kids. A lot stared their mouth dropped especially his friends who were all so confused. They didn’t think that he could land a girl like that.
She's made her choice and I'm the one
At least 'til graduation comes
We drive past school to wave goodbye
My friends they can't believe their eyes
He looked at her from the stage with a little smile. She smiled back a lot had happened between the pair in two years. He had become famous and she had always been there for him. They dated for those two years and then he sang the chorus of the song to end it. And it spoke true to them. Cause that’s what he went to school for. Yea she’s what he went to school for.
