Hi hi! here's my first writing to ever be completed that isn't a homeword assignment. so I'm not really proud of the end but tell me what you think! It's based off the song Everything you ever wanted by Hawk Nelson. Yeah.. I was listening to it today and got this idea.. i wrote it quick so I didn't have the temptation to quit. anyway I'll post it now and stop wasting your time with my ramblings. Comments are greatly appreciated as are critiques!
Let’s go back in time
When I could read your mind
Still I’ve been waiting
It took the seasons to go by
To know it’s not my fault
Nick sat on his bed looking at the last picture ever taken of the two of them. Honestly he never knew nor will ever know why she broke the relationship. He thought she was the one but his memory of her was starting to fade the longer she was gone. “I wish I could go back to those times” Nick thought aloud. “Why did she have to leave?” he screamed in frustration. For the first time in his life Kevin didn’t know what to say to his little brother.
“It’s not your fault Nick. You did all you could.” Joe said, looking at his brother pleading inside that Nick would finally realize that.
“Are you telling me it’s not my fault?” Nick jumped off the bed, faced Joe and put on his most aggressive face. ‘It was my fault. I wasn’t perfect enough, she deserved more’
Joe took a deep breath. Some one had to show Nick it wasn’t his fault. “Yes. Nick, you did all you could. You don’t deserve her, you deserve better.” He braced himself for the explosion.
“Really?” Nick whispered, the question startled both Kevin and Joe.
“Yes. Nick, honestly what more could you have done?” Kevin asked, jumping at the opportunity to talk.
“Been perfect.” Nick said quietly, looking back down at the picture in his hands.
“Nick, no one can be more perfect than you were for her.” Their best friend Erica put in.
“Okay. It wasn’t my fault.” Nick slowly crumpled to the ground. Erica stood up, walked over to Nick, and started to start comforting him.

~Flashback~
“Nick, why aren’t you ever there for me?” Laura screamed in frustration as tears started to come out of her ever blue eyes.
“Laura, don’t cry, please?” Nick could handle Laura screaming, yelling, nagging, begging, and pouting, anything but crying.
“Why shouldn’t I cry? I deserve a boyfriend who is always there for me!” she screamed in Nick’s face. Nick wanted to mourn for her pain and his face showed it.
“I’m sorry. I’m really, really sorry Laura.” Tears started to flow out of Nick. “I want to be with you always. I really do.”
“Then why aren’t you? You NEVER support me! And that’s all I ever do for you! I don’t even get to spend a minute with you on my birthday because of all those STUPID fans!” Laura started to walk away.
“Wait, Laura, I’ll cancel the next tour, for you.” Nick said just to get her to stay. Laura slowly turned around.
“You will?”
“Yeah, watch” Nick grabbed his cell phone out of his back pocket and dialed his manager, dad. “Hey Dad we have to cancel the tour….. I know…. I know…. I’m sorry…. I can’t do it… Laura…. I know… love you too. Thanks dad.” Nick hung up. “It’s all set. 3 months just for you.” Laura smiled fiendishly as she walked to Nick and gave him a peck on the cheek as she grabbed his hand and led him to her car.
~End Flashback~

Five more minutes. Nick paced nervously around the room. Laura usually called him half an hour before she was supposed to be there just to make sure he was there waiting for her. Luckily, she never was late. Until tonight. “I’ll call her. No, I don’t want to interrupt anything.” Nick tried to think of a way to make sure she was safe. “I’ll say a prayer.” He finally concluded.
“Huh?” Nick fell off the couch which he had fallen asleep on last night. His phone vibrated once more in his back pocket. “Hello?... Laura! I’ve been so worrie-… yeah… of course… no I wasn’t like waiting all night… yeah those two months have passed fast, I wish we could see each other but I know you are way too busy with your friends….. yeah… love you. Bye”
~End Flashback~

“Nick” Erica said, slowly rousing him.
Nick rolled over and looked Erica in the eyes “No. I need her. I can’t live any longer. Bye.” He said and promptly pulled the blanket over himself like at a morgue.
“Nick, do you really believe all her lame excuses? You know she’s been cheating on you. She’s not worth you, you need better.” Erica said and pulled the sheets back down leisurely. Nick slothfully sat up and then put his face in his hands.
“I want to believe her with everything I have. But you are right… I can’t. I love her, I want her. No, I need her” Tears started to stain his face. Erica sat down beside him and held him for an hour, never saying a word, just rubbing his back like a concerned mother. Nick finally moved again and only said one thing before leaving the room “I tried to be everything she ever wanted and she still left me. I guess it’s time for me to move on as well.”
