Disappointed In You

The first clue that he wasn’t alone in the large store was the sound of a female voice singing, singing one of the many songs that he and his brothers were famous for. He let out a little chuckle, working on finding the girl who was singing, and then he spotted her in the back of the store. She had bright pink and black hair, it looked oddly fake, and was wearing some intricate all black outfit, complete with black fishnet stockings. This time he didn’t chuckle, slowly making his way back towards the enterance of the store, slightly worried by the girls appearance. He didn’t make it though, crashing into a rack of clothing along the way. She turned hearing the noise and stopped singing ready to help whoever it was, until she saw him standing there. Then she blushed a horrible shade of red and turned back to the table she was standing at.
“Are you okay?”
Her voice came softly through the air, making him wonder if the clothing and hair was all a show.
“Um yea. I’m Kevin.”
She lets out a soft laugh turning to look at him and for the first time he spots her gorgeous blue eyes. They stick out on her plae face, opposed to her eyebrows and eyelashes and just about everything else which just seemed to blend in.
“I know. I’m Spencer.”
The next song started to play and as it did a tall black, pink and blond haired girl walks out of a back room.
“Hey Pencer. I changed it from the loves of our lives. I was in the mood for Eleventyseven. Hey I’m… Aren’t you Kevin Jonas?”
The other girl sends Spencer a look and Spencer blushes slightly and nods. The other girl lets out a little laugh running her fingers through her hair.
“Well I’m called Tephani and I unlike Pencer, actually work here, so I have to get back to work. Bye Pencer. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
Stephani pushes Spencer out the door and Kevin follows chuckling softly. But he was not expecting her to reach her hand up and peel off a black and pink wig, revealing almost white blond hair. She let out a little laugh of her own, spotting him staring at her.
“You didn’t think this was real did you?”
“Well maybe? I mean your friend.”
“Tephani? She’s weird. Though I have dyed my hair black and pink before. But no this is a wig. I wear it when I pretend to work there.”
“Why you have such beautiful hair?”
She flushes her cheeks turning pink and she thinks about her answer before answering.
“I’m a theater major. I love acting, and the wig helps me get into character, sometimes people don’t know that I don’t actually work there, they assume I do and when I’m like, I can’t check you out they are like why not? And I’m all I don’t work here.”
Spencer does her best valley girl impression getting a laugh out of the young man.She grins then, happy with the result and they start to walk around the mall together. After a few odd looks, Spencer slips the wig back on, getting a look from Kevin.
“They are like what is that blond girl wearing, if my hair is like this they except it.”
“Be who you are, don’t be who they want you to be.”
Kevin’s words cause Spencer  to smile softly, she was being who she was an actress she wasn’t doing it for them.
“I am. So how many of your fans are going to see us together and have a spazz attack?”
Kevin lets out a little laugh as that very thing happens, A group of preteen girls spot him and start to squeel only to realize he is with Spencer and start to snap pictures and freak out. Kevin lets out a laugh, resting his hand on Spencers lower back and leading her away from the girls.
They end up together in a Limited Too Store and Spencer chuckles as she makes her way to the Jonas Brothers section, picking up a shirt with his face on it.
“What do you think?”
“Well I think this one is so much better.”
He hands her another shirt and it takes a second for her to read it.

The words were written in script across the black shirt in hot pink letter and she lets out a little laugh as he does the same, before nodding her head. After a small argument over who was going to buy the shirt, he insisted and she resisted, they left the store the shirt in the little bright pink bag she was carrying.
They walked around for a while longer, ending up in all the stores that sold merchendise from his band. At claires they bought pins and a ring, at limited too they got the shirt, at build a bear, they made a handsome Kevin and a beautiful Spencer bear, for the other to keep.
She realizes that she has to go soon, the Kevin bear in her hand as she looks the rockstar over.
“Well I guess this is goodbye.”
“No it’s not. Promise me you’ll meet me here tomorrow. And wear your shirt will you?”
She smiled nodding before hurrying off, late for one auditon or another, she lost track some times. The day passes and as the next comes along she hurries to the mall in hopes of seeing that curly hairred brunette boy once again. After waiting for almost a full two hours, she gives up hope, she has an audition in about forty minutes and couldn’t risk being late.
She hurries to the audition, knowing that if she is even one minute late she won’t be allowed to audition, and she was really hoping to get a job.
“Spencer Kate?”
She always used her middle name, these people didn’t need to know her last name. She stood, barely having sat down and walked into the room looking at the script in her hand.
“So Spencer. Why don’t you start at page ten line three.”
Spencer flips the page and quickly scans it before putting the script in her pocket.
“Jason how can you say that… How can you say that no girls in this world like you. How can you say that there will never be anyone for you? There is someone for everyone. What will it take to make you see that?”
The male voice that speaks causes Spencer to look up truly shocked.
“No one likes me Amber. I’m just the goofy older member. I doubt people even see me. So yea what are you going to do about it? Oh dude look a spider monkey.”
Sitting at that table reading the script with her was Paul Kevin Jonas the Second, his brothers sitting at his side laughing.
“Jason. No one likes you! I like you! I love that you are the goofy older member! I see you every night in my dreams! How can you not see what you do to me? And there is no spider monkey but it would be cute if there was.”
“Amber, I don’t believe you. I don’t believe you like me. No one ever likes me Spencer. So why would it change now?”
“Kevin I like you! How blind are you that you can’t see that. So what if you aren’t hott like Joe or sexy like Nick. You are handsome and charming and talented. And you are all I ever wanted. You are all I ever needed and more!”
“Handsome you are kidding me right? I’m ugly and I know it.”
“You are not ugly I don’t know who told you that you were but you aren’t. You are so much more than you think. Why can’t you see how much you mean to me! Why don’t you know what you do to me! Why did you stand me up…”
The last statement comes out softly, as tears fall down Spencer’s cheeks, the emotions she were displaying her own.  She covers her mouth with her hand to silence the sob that she knows is coming, as Kevin walks around the table. He wraps his arms around her in a tight hug and kisses her forehead softly, before mummering in her ear.
“I didn’t mean to stand you up. I forgot I had to be here. Don’t be mad at me okay?”
She looks away, at the wall first, then his brothers and finally back at him.
“I could never be mad at you. Just disappointed. I guess I should be used to it being disappointed by boys. But I thought you might be different. I guess I was wrong.”
She turns on the spot and makes her way out of the room, past all the girls, who are so confused as to the tears the blond was wearing.

haha i just want her and kevin to be happy lol. it just seems right. i cant get this out of my mind right now.

so truthfully my hair is actually black with a bleach blond underlayer and dull pink bangs, but i am planning on redying my bangs probably tomorrow and hopefully i will get my ipod and camera both fixed tomorrow so i can put pics up of my hair :)
