Year of a Million Dreams [[Kevin FF]] 13 Chapters. STORY COMPLETED. Sequel coming.
Modified By Giavanna <3 Kevin on 8/28/2008 9:37:16 AM)

I had a dream, and I decided that I could write a really good story using my dream to start it out. Here is the summary of the story I plan on writing.

The Jonas Brothers find out last minute that they're booked to play a show at The Magic Kingdom in Disney World. To make it up to them, their parents tell them they can stay the week and enjoy the parks. The night before they're scheduled to play, Kevin has a dream about a girl that he can't seem to forget. He thinks he sees her in the crowd at their show, but his brothers tell him that it couldn't be and to just forget about it. But Kevin is determined to find this girl, and the next day he goes to the place in his dream that they met. It's the Year of a Million Dreams, and now Kevin's dream is about to come true.

Just a note, if you didn't know, Disney is having it's Year of a Million Dreams celebration again, so I thought that it would fit. There is more I wanted to add, but it's a summary, so I didn't want to go overboard giving you info(: Let me know if you think you'd be interested, and I will gladly post it!

I think I may write it anyways, even if no one comments this. I just thought Kevin fans might like it.

Re: Year of a Million Dreams [[Kevin FF]]
Thanks to anyone who is interested! I'm glad some people want to read it. Here's the first chapter...

Chapter One

It was another typical night on the Jonas Brothers' tour bus. Nick Jonas, the youngest brother in the band, was playing hand Solitaire at the table. Joe Jonas, the second oldest brother in the band, was laying on the couch and staring up at the ceiling. Kevin Jonas, the eldest brother of the band, was sleeping in a bottom bunk. The boys also have another brother who is not in their band but still very much a part of what they do. His name is Frankie, and he was also asleep. They had finished up a string of concerts in Florida and were looking forward to a little down time. They thought that was where they were headed, until their parents called for them all to gather around Joe on the couch.

"Hey Kevin, come on out here for a minute," Kevin Jonas Sr, the brothers' dad, shook his eldest son awake.

Kevin sat up quickly, bumping his head off of the bottom of the top bunk. He groaned, but he did as he was told.

Nick stopped his game, and Joe sat up to make room for his brothers to sit with him. Once everyone was situated, they listened intently to what their parents had to tell them.

"Okay guys, we know we told you that you didn't have anything planned for awhile, but-" their dad started to explain but was cut off by Nick.

"Whoa! Is this going to be bad news?" Nick asked.

"Chill, Nick," Joe said, hitting his younger brother lightly on the shoulder.

"As I was saying," Kevin Sr. continued, "we got a call about the Jonas Brothers performing at Disney World and-"

"Disney World! I love Disney World!" Kevin burst out excitedly.

Their dad gave them a stern look that called for no more interuptions, so the boys sat back and listened. "You guys are performing at the Magic Kingdom tomorrow. We're sorry, but we think that it would be a lot of fun, and to make it up to you, we booked a hotel so you guys can enjoy some time off there." He nodded to show he was done.

"Sounds good, dad. I mean, yeah, we did want a little time off now, but what's one more show at the greatest place on earth?" Nick said.

"Do you know where we're performing at in the park?" Joe asked.

"Outside of the castle. Where they have those shows with the princesses," Denise Jonas, their mother, explained.

"Oh, excellent!" Kevin said, smiling.

"Yes, it will be very fun for everyone there!" Denise said.

"Yeah, I'm sure everyone is as excited as I am, but is it okay if I go back to sleep?" Kevin asked.

Everyone laughed, and Kevin got up to go back to his bunk. It was late, and he had no energy left to keep his eyelids from closing.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Shan was unpacking her suitcase in her hotel room that she shared with her brother, Michael. She was staying at the Wilderness Lodge, a Walt Disney World resort, with her family for their summer vacation. Her parents were in the adjacent room.

"Mike, can you turn the TV down a bit?" Jennifer asked.

"Come on, Jenn, it's the Jonas Brothers!" Michael yelled above the music.

"I know, but couldn't you please just turn it down?" she asked nicely.

"Yeah, fine."

"Thank you!"

"What's your problem with them anyway?" Michael asked.

"I don't have a problem with them. Their music is good, I'm just not obsessed like you are," Jennifer explained.

"I am not obsessed!"

"Oh, that's right! I forgot that you didn't own everything they've ever done."

"I can't help it that they're awesome." That was the end of that conversation.

"Do you happen to know what park we're going to tomorrow? I forgot to ask dad," Jennifer asked.

"Magic Kingdom, I believe," Michael answered.

"Wow, that's surprising. We never go there first."

"Oh well, as long as we can go off on our own."

"Yeah, but you know they'll make you stick with me."

"That's okay. It's better than walking around with our parents another year."

"Got that right. Anyways, we should probably get some sleep. We'll be up by seven I'm sure," Jennifer said, turning out the lights.

"Alright, good night," Michael said, getting into bed.

"Night, Mike!"

The next morning when Kevin woke up, he literally rolled out of his bed, fell on to the floor, and then proceeded to get up and run to the couch where Joe had fallen asleep the night before.

"Joe! Joe! Joe!" Kevin yelled, shaking his brother persistently.

"What! I'm awake! What's wrong?" Joe asked, clearly startled.

"Joe, I had a dream!"

"So did Martin Luther King."

"No, Joe. Listen to me, this dream was more than a dream. I got the weirdest feeling when I woke up. I fell out of bed, Joe!" Kevin was very worked up.

"Okay, okay, calm down, Kev. What was the dream?" Joe rubbed the sleep out of his eyes and sat up.

"Okay, you know that Star Wars ride at MGM?"

"Yeah, what about it?"

"You, Nick, and I were in the store you go in after you get off of the ride. No one had recognized us I guess, but there was this girl! She was amazing. She recognized me, but she didn't seem as interested. She didn't scream, she didn't flip out because it was me. We talked and got a popsicle. Joe, I need to find this girl!"

Joe stared at his brother like he was insane. "Dude, what the heck are you talking about? You know nothing about this girl. She probably doesn't even exist. It was a dream, bro."

"It could not have been just a dream," Kevin insisted.

"What was so special about this dream that makes you think it was something more?" Joe asked.

"I got this feeling! As soon as I woke up it hit me. I've never felt anything like it before. Come on, Joe, I'm not kidding around here."

Joe could tell his brother was being completely serious. "Alright, look, even if this girl does exist, how do you plan on finding her? There are hundreds of people here."

"I have to go to the place where we met in the dream."

"But we're going to the Magic Kingdom."

"I know, but tomorrow's a new day," Kevin said with a smile.

"Yes, but what are the chances of finding her at the exact time you're in there?" Joe asked.

"I can feel it, man. She'll be there. You and Nick have to be there, though! You have to. The dream has to be perfect."

"Kev, it was a dream. Please, don't get your hopes up about this," Joe said.

"What's all this talk about dreams?" Nick asked as he walked out from his bunk.

"Ask Kevin, dude," Joe said.

Kevin proceeded to explain everything to Nick that he had explained to Joe. When he was done, Nick gave him the same expression that Joe had given him.

"Come on, what's wrong with you two?" Kevin asked, irritated that they weren't taking him seriously.

"I love you, bro, but do you know how crazy you sound?" Nick tried to stifle a laugh.

"We'll see who's laughing when I find her." Kevin got up from the floor, where he had been sitting since the moment he'd come to talk to Joe, and went back to his bunk to be alone with his thoughts. He knew he needed to calm himself down before the show that evening.

Their parents woke up about an hour later, and Joe and Nick decided that they wouldn't tell them about Kevin's dream. Neither of them believed that he could possibly be as serious as he seemed, and it would be stupid to bring their parents into the matter.

"Sleep good?" Denise asked.

"As always!" Nick said cheerfully.

"My back hurts. I fell asleep on the couch again," Joe commented.

"Poor Joe!" Frankie said as he finally made his way out to join them.

Joe laughed and ruffled his hair.

"Can I have a poptart?" Nick asked his dad, who was over in the kitchen area.

"Yeah, do you want the strawberry and chocolate ones or the strawberry and blueberry ones?" Kevin Sr. asked Nick.

"Chocolate. They compliment each other better."

"You and your words," Joe said jokingly.

Everyone was having a nice morning except for Kevin. He was still laying in his bunk an hour later, trying to rationalize the fact that he was completely sane for thinking he could find his dream girl.

"Why hasn't Kevin come out here yet?" Frankie asked.

"Oh, he was up before mom and dad got up. He went back to sleep, I think. Probably still exhausted from the show yesterday. None of us planned on two encores," Nick said.

Joe gave Nick a worried look. They were starting to think that Kevin needed their help and that they should be completely supportive. Nick jerked his head toward the bunks, signaling to his brother that they should probably go have a talk with him. Joe nodded in silent response. They walked to Kevin's bunk, pushed the curtain back, and sat down on the edge.

"Hey, you wanna talk?" Joe asked quietly.

"Talk about what? The show tonight? Because the show tonight is all that's on my mind," Kevin replied.

"It's okay to talk about it, Kev. We're sorry for the way we acted earlier. We want to help," Nick said.

"No, really, it's okay," Kevin insisted half-heartedly.

"Listen, we're here for you. We're gonna find this girl together. After all, we were with you weren't we?" Joe smiled.

"Yeah, you guys were there."

"Okay then! Starting tomorrow, we'll do whatever you want us to do, go where ever you want us to go," Joe said encouragingly.

"You guys, don't worry about it," Kevin paused and then said, "I love that you want to help, but let's all just forget about it."

"But-" Nick tried.

"Guys, please," Kevin said.

"Alright, man. It's forgotten," Joe said.

Joe and Nick got up and left Kevin alone after that. They figured they would honor his wishes and not bring it up again. If he was to bring it up again, they would try to discourage him from thinking about it too much. They were worried it would affect him having a good time that week, and they only wanted him to be happy.

When Jennifer woke up the next morning, her brother had already been awake for awhile. He was listening to the radio, a wide grin on his face.

"What's up?" Jennifer asked.

"The Jonas Brothers are performing tonight!" Michael said excitedly.

"Okay..."

"Here! At the Magic Kingdom!"

"No way! Are you serious? Tonight, when we're gonna be there?"

"Yes! We have to get up front, Jenn! Will you take me?" Michael asked pleadingly.

Jenn always had a hard time saying no to her twelve year-old brother. "Yeah, sure. I'll make sure we get there early enough."

"Good! I bet you they're playing at the castle. Where else could they possibly play at?"

"Don't worry, we'll be there. Let's not say anything to mom and dad about it though, okay? I don't want them to randomly show up and try to stand with us."

"Why? You wanna look good for the boys!" Michael teased.

"No! That is so not why. Unless you think they'd notice me?" Jennifer laughed.

Her and her brother got dressed for the day, making sure to pack water and their cameras. Then, they went out into the hall and knocked on their parents' door. Once everyone was ready, they were off to the Magic Kingdom. It would be a long day of waiting. They stood in all of the long lines, knowing it would make time pass faster. Jennifer wouldn't admit it to her brother, but she was a little excited to see the Jonas Brothers live. They were very cute after all, and she did like their music, regardless of what she told Michael.

"It's killing me that we can't let anyone see us," Joe said.

"Yeah, that means no rides until after we perform," Nick added.

"At least the park won't have as many people since they're doing that after hours thing for only the people with wristbands," Kevin said.

The boys were stretching outside their tour bus, which was parked in a behind the scenes parking lot. Their parents told them to lay low and not go on any rides, and it was beginning to become very boring for them. They still had a few hours before the show, and they knew their dad would ask them to warm up back there where no one could hear them.

"Should we sing Burnin' Up last?" Nick asked Joe and Kevin.

"Good question," Joe said. "What do you think?" he asked, turning to Kevin.

"Yeah, let's play it last. As long as we can play That's Just the Way We Roll," Kevin said.

Nick and Joe laughed. "Yeah, man. We'll open with it," Joe said.

Of course they valued each other's opinions, but Nick and Joe were paying special attention to what Kevin had to say tonight. He hadn't talked anymore about his dream or his dream girl, but they had a feeling that he'd been thinking about it since their last conversation about it. He had a distant look in his eye from time to time, and that's when he would lose interest in whatever conversation they were previously having.

Not long after the brothers were done discussing their set list, their dad came out to talk to them about warming up, as they knew he would.

"Obviously, you can't do a sound check outside the castle with all the people walking around, but I figure you could check everything while you're talking and introducing yourselves," their father explained.

"Yeah, we can do that," Kevin said.

"You have about an hour before you go out, so why don't you warm up a little bit? Your mom and I are working out some last minute things before the crew starts setting up outside. I'll catch up with you when it's time," Kevin Sr. said before turning to go back on the bus.

"Alright, dad, thanks," Joe said.

The boys went on to sing vocal warm-ups and then the intros and choruses to some of the songs they were singing. Kevin and Nick played a little on their acoustic guitars, while Joe messed around on his tambourine. It seemed as if everyone had truly forgotten about Kevin's dream, including Kevin.

"Michael, I swear this better be the most amazing experience of your life!" Jennifer said. She was hot and tired. They'd been sitting at the very front of the stage for over two hours.

"It will be! And you know I would go and get us ice cream, but there's so many people I wouldn't be able to get back up here," Michael said.

"I know, I know. At least the sun is behind some clouds for awhile."

"Yeah, and look how close we are!" Michael said excitedly.

"As close as you can get, bud! You owe me," Jennifer joked.

Michael just smiled and went back to his video game he had brought along. Jennifer hadn't brought anything along with her because she had no idea that they would have to go so early, but as soon as they got out of a nearby shop, they saw girls starting to head towards the castle, and Michael took off at a run for the front. Most of the girls had no problem allowing Jennifer to get to her brother, but some of them weren't very nice about it. There were more Jonas Brothers fans at Disney World than she'd known.

"Look, they're setting everything up!" Michael pointed to the crew on stage.

"Good, that means it shouldn't be too much longer," Jennifer said, clearly relieved.

Nick and Joe were playing rock-paper-scissors to kill the last minutes of down time they had before the show. Nick picked paper almost every time, yet Joe still continued to pick rock. Meanwhile, Kevin was sitting on a bench, bent over, with his head in his hands.

When Joe noticed, he whispered, "I thought he was over it."

"Me too. Let's not say anything to him, that might not be what's bothering him," Nick whispered back.

It was what was bothering him, though. Kevin sat up all of a sudden and laughed. It caused Joe and Nick to turn around abruptly and almost fall off of their chairs.

"I'm so stupid," Kevin said as he laughed.

"What?" Nick asked, confused.

"Why am I letting this bother me? We have a show to do in five minutes," Kevin said, still laughing. He stood up and walked over to his brothers.

"Are you okay, man?" Joe asked.

"I am excellent! More importantly, I'm ready to do this show, and then ride every single thing in this park."

"Well, alright! We're right there with you," Joe said.

"Show time, boys!" their dad yelled from somewhere near by.

"I think they're coming, I think they're coming!" Michael said excitedly.

"Me too!" Jennifer squeezed his arm and jumped up and down like the rest of the girls in the crowd were doing. She soon found herself screaming as music started playing and the Jonas Brothers' band came out. Next thing she knew, Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas were taking the stage.

"Hey, Disney World, how's everybody doing?" Joe asked, testing the mic as his dad instructed.

The crowd screamed in response.

"We're the Jonas Brothers and we're excited to be with you all tonight!" Kevin added.

"We're gonna start it off with a good one, sing along," Nick said before they went right into That's Just the Way We Roll.

Michael started singing along, and Jennifer found herself singing along, too. Michael didn't know, but his sister secretly listened to his iPod throughout the day to get some of the Jonas Brothers' songs in her head. She didn't want to be the only one in the crowd not singing along.

"And I know we get a little crazy
And I know we get a little loud
And I know we're never gonna fake it
We are wild
We are free
We are more than you think
So call us freaks but that's just the way we roll"

Joe was loving the crowd. Everyone was singing and getting into their songs. He looked frequently over at Kevin, who was getting into his music just as he always did, maybe even more so tonight. Nick was loving the crowd as well. He found himself smiling even as he was singing. There was a special air about the night, and everyone could feel it.

Later on, when they were about to wrap up the song Hold On, Kevin turned to face the crowd and look out at them for the first time. He'd been so consumed in his playing that he hadn't had a chance to really look at all the fans gathered in front of him. As soon as he looked to the front, he saw her. His heart seemed to skip a beat, and thank God his subconscious was working or his fingers may have stopped and his playing ceased. He gaped at the girl standing with her arms on a little boy's shoulders. Joe happened to turn at almost that exact moment and saw Kevin's face.

Michael elbowed Jennifer in the side, which made her look down at him. "What?" she yelled above the music.

He turned around and yelled back, "Kevin is staring at you!"

Jennifer's eyes immediately shot up to the guitar player that was not very far away from her, and sure enough, his eyes were pinned to her.

Joe kept going with the song, and when it was over he motioned for Nick to introduce the next song so he could talk to Kevin.

"I want to sing," Kevin whispered hurriedly once Joe was close enough. "Look Me in the Eyes is next, right? I'm gonna sing at the end."

"What's going on? What was that look for?" Joe asked, but there was no time to answer him because Nick was already done introducing the next song. Joe just nodded that he'd let him sing and walked back to start the song.

"Why do I have a feeling whatever they just whispered was about you?" Michael asked his sister.

"Don't be silly, Mike. There's no way," Jennifer said. Deep down her heart was smiling, though. She really thought that Kevin might have said something about her or that at least he was actually staring at her.

Kevin kept his eyes locked on this girl almost the entire time he was playing, looking away only a few times. The song started to wind down, and Kevin was prepared to sing his heart out for her, praying the whole time that she would know it was for her.

"I start to realize I can reach my tomorrow
I can hold my head up high
And it's all because you're by my side
When you look me in the eyes
And tell me that you love me
Everything's alright when you're right here by my side
When I hold you in my arms
I know that it's forever
I just gotta let you know
I never wanna let you go"

Jennifer's heart was leaping out of her chest. It honestly looked as if Kevin was singing directly to her, but how could she know for sure? Sometimes it looks like someone is staring at you, when in fact they're looking at someone behind you. She didn't look away, though.

Kevin then sang the rest of the song with his brothers, never averting his eyes. Joe and Nick watched him intently while he was singing. He had never wanted to sing by himself for that long before, and although he was very good, they knew there had to be a reason. His eyes were glued to someone, a girl of course, but they weren't sure which girl.

When the concert was over, Kevin seemed to be in a daze. He was anxious and glowing from head to toe.

"What was that all about, Kev?" Joe asked.

"It was her!" Kevin said.

"Her?" Nick asked.

"Yes, her. The girl in my dream."

"Which girl?" Joe asked.

"In the front. Right in front of me. She had a boy with her, probably her brother. Come on, one of you had to notice her."

"Oh yeah, I saw her," Nick chimed in.

"I saw her, too," Joe said.

"Really? And?" Kevin asked, referring to what they thought of her.

"She's pretty hot, dude," Joe said.

"Don't talk about her like that," Kevin said.

"I'm just messing around. Well, she is very attractive, but I'm just messing with you."

"You don't really think that was her, do you?" Nick asked.

"I know that was her," Kevin replied.

"There's no way! How do you even remember what the girl looked like?" Joe added.

"What is wrong with you guys? What happened to your supportiveness you were so eager to show me before?" Kevin was irritated now and wanted to go and find this girl.

"Hey, man, you told us to drop it. We dropped it," Nick said.

"Alright, well I have to go find her before she leaves."

"You can't go out there. Girls will be all over you before you can even catch a glimpse of her," Joe said, holding his brother back from where he was about to go.

"Joe, I have to talk to her. I need to at least find out her name," Kevin insisted.

"Alright, alright, Kevin. I get it. I think you're the one that needs to drop it now," Joe said, pushing him in the direction of the bus.

Kevin didn't respond verbally or physically, he just walked away. Nick was quiet. He didn't want to get into it, but now he was torn. Joe was right, Kevin needed to get over it, but at the same time, Joe should have been a little more understanding of how Kevin was feeling.

"Can you believe him?" Joe asked Nick after Kevin was gone.

"Yeah, I can. He's upset. We should probably steer clear of him for awhile." Nick said.

"There's no way that was the girl."

"It could have been, Joe."

"Are you serious?" Joe acted like it was insanely impossible.

"Look, I know it sounds crazy, but it's Kevin. How often does he act like this? Honestly?"

"I know, I know, but it just seems too crazy to be true. Should I apologize?"

"Not yet." Nick shook his head. "Give him some time."

Nick and Joe decided they would relax a little bit before they hit up a few rides. They were hoping Kevin would join them, but they didn't want to bother him if he didn't want to. Frankie needed a riding partner though, so if it came down to it, they'd guilt him into coming along.

At the same time that Joe and Kevin were talking, Jennifer and Michael were talking.

"Jenn, he was so singing to you! Kevin never sings like that!" Michael said.

"Please, don't say that kind of stuff. There's no way he was singing to me. He couldn't have been," Jennifer insisted.

"I want you two to date!"

Jennifer just laughed as she walked away from the castle with her little brother. They had wrist bands and were planning on riding a few rides before catching a bus back to the hotel. Their parents had already left to go out to eat by themselves, but they trusted Jennifer to keep an eye on Michael and come back to the hotel safely.

"Come on, bro, you know you wanna go crazy in Disney World," Nick said to Kevin, who was laying on the couch staring at the ceiling.

"Not really," Kevin replied. He was miserable.

"I know you're upset, but I bet she's still here somewhere," Nick tried.

"It doesn't matter. I'll never find her, and Joe won't shut up about it."

"Don't worry about Joe. He's sorry."

"Then why hasn't he apologized?"

"He figured you needed your space for awhile."

"You're right, I do. I think I'm just gonna turn in early."

Nick didn't say anything, he just got up and opened the door for Frankie to come in.

"Keviiiiiiiin!" Frankie whined.

"Hey, buddy," Kevin said.

"You have to come, or I won't have anyone to ride with." He put on his best pout.

"I don't feel so good, Frankie. We'll all hang tomorrow, I promise."

"No, you're coming." Frankie then proceeded to grab his brother's arm and attempted to drag him off of the couch.

"Alright, alright, I'll come," Kevin said, getting off of the couch.

Nick smiled from the door way, high fived Frankie, and then made his way out to catch up with Joe.

The brothers rode pretty much every ride they could until they were dead tired. Kevin had slightly forgotten about how miserable he previously was, but the whole time he kept an eye out for his girl. While they were there, their parents had gotten a hotel room for them for the week. By the time they got back, they were way past exhausted and crashed without even discussing their plans for the next day. Pretty much all three of them knew they'd be going to MGM, though.

Once Jennifer and Michael got back to the hotel, they started arguing about what park to go to the following day. Jennifer wanted to go to Animal Kingdom because she wanted to go on the safari, but Michael wanted to go to MGM for the cool rides. Jennifer thought it was only fair she got to choose since Michael got to see his favorite band, but Michael still wasn't going to agree with her on it.

"Jenn, come on, please! I know that you'd have more fun at MGM," Michael begged.

"Why do you think that?" she asked.

"Because they have the best rides! You know they do!"

"Yeah, but why don't we save it for later in the week?"

"I would rather go tomorrow. I miss the Star Wars ride!"

Jennifer just stared at him, seeing if he would give in. He did. "Alright, fine. We'll go to Animal Kingdom."

Jennifer went to sleep satisfied. She also had completely forgotten about the Kevin incident. As far as she knew, she was going to Animal Kingdom in the morning and would probably never see any of the Jonas Brothers again.

Re: Year of a Million Dreams [[Kevin FF]]

When Kevin woke up the next morning, he thought his day was going to be horrible. Joe yelled at him to wake up, and it caused him to roll over and off of the bed. He hit his head on the night stand and wouldn't move when Nick asked him if he was alright. Joe came running over, and Kevin attempted to punch him in the face, but Nick grabbed his arm as Joe fell backwards to avoid his brother's fist.

"Whoa, whoa, chill," Nick said to Kevin.

"What was that for?" Joe asked, shocked at his brother's lividness.

Kevin just stared at the ground. He didn't even know what to say. He got up and headed for the shower. His brothers waited until the water was on before they started talking about him.

"Dude, something is definitely up with him," Joe said.

"Oh, really? I didn't notice," Nick said sarcasticly.

Joe glared at him for a moment before saying, "Did I do something?"

"Maybe he blames you for when he hit his head. You did yell at him."

"Is it that big of a deal? He's just touchy about that girl. We're going to MGM today, and he knows he isn't going to find her," Joe said matter of factly.

"Shut up, Joe. You don't know that." Nick was angry.

"Yeah, I do."

"I'm gonna laugh really, really hard when you're wrong."

"Alright, now you shut up."

"Me? You want me to shut up? At least I support Kevin. You just sit there and make fun of him."

"I just want him to live in reality, that's all."

"Let him be happy! What is so wrong with him being happy!" Nick slammed his hand on dresser.

"There's nothing wrong with him being happy! I'm not trying to make him upset, I just don't want him to get hurt!" Joe yelled.

"My whole point is that you don't know if he's going to get hurt!" Nick yelled back.

"How are you so sure?"

"I have faith," Nick said simply. Then, he got up and walked over to his bag to get clothes out for the day.

Joe felt like a jerk. He, once again, realized that Nick was right.

When Jennifer woke up, she didn't even think once about the previous day or at all about Kevin and the Jonas Brothers. She took a quick shower, and dressed in a pair of navy hollister shorts and a gray victoria's secret tank top. She picked out a pair of gray flip flops and white sunglasses to finish off her look. She left her hair down, slightly curly. They were only going to be at Animal Kingdom for not even half of the day before heading off to Downtown Disney. At least that was the plan her brother and her had come up with that morning.

But Jennifer was in for a real surprise when her dad knocked on the door that morning.

"Ready to head out?" her dad asked.

"Yeah, just about. Michael's putting water in his bag," Jennifer replied.

"Alright, see you down in the lobby, and then it's off to MGM!"

"What? MGM?"

"Yes, MGM. Where did you think we were going?"

"Nevermind," she said, shutting the door. She wasn't sure why she didn't want to go to MGM, she just had her heart set on seeing the animals.

When Michael came over with his bag, Jennifer shot him daggers.

"What did I do?" he asked.

"You told dad that we wanted to go to MGM, didn't you?"

"Yeah! I knew that was the only way we'd go."

"Little sneak."

"I know," he smiled and walked out of the room.

Jennifer groaned, but she would soon be over it. They met up with their parents and went to get breakfast. She had an odd feeling in her stomach, and it made it hard to eat. She ended up choosing a small bowl of Frosted Flakes and a banana.

"Are you okay?" her mom asked her.

"Yeah, why?"

"Because you aren't eating much."

"Oh, I'm just not very hungry this morning. I was snacking before bed," she lied.

Michael shot her a look, knowing full well she did not eat anything last night.

"Why did you lie about why you weren't eating?" Michael asked her later as they made their way to their car.

"It wasn't that big of a deal. I just have this weird feeling. I really wasn't hungry," Jennifer explained.

"Oh. Well, maybe it means something good is going to happen today!"

"Or maybe it means something bad is going to happen."

"I bet it's means something good."

"Alright, if you say so."

She didn't care what her brother said, she still thought that Animal Kingdom would have been a better choice.

The Jonas Brothers arrived at MGM an hour before it opened. It was easier to get into the park before there were a lot of people around. They didn't want to ride anything until the park officially opened, though, so they just sat around talking about what they wanted to go on first.

"Tower of Terror, dude!" Joe kept insisting.

"No way, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster!" Nick would say next.

They went back and forth for awhile before Joe decided they'd leave it up to Kevin.

"So what do you think, bro?" Joe asked.

Kevin didn't know that he was being asked and continued to stare at the ground.

"Kevin?" Nick asked.

"Yeah?" he sat up and turned to face his brothers.

"Tower of Terror or Rock 'n' Roller Coaster?" Joe asked.

"Rock 'n' Roller Coaster," Kevin replied before going back to his staring at the ground position.

"Kevin?" Nick asked this time.

"What?" Kevin replied, a little more harsh than he'd intended.

Nick looked a little hurt and Kevin apologized. "I'm sorry, what?"

"Are you okay? You're still looking a little down."

"I don't know what's wrong with me, guys. I just can't get into a good mood."

"You'll be in a good mood before you know it," Joe said.

"No, I won't."

"I'm sorry about earlier, Kev, but come on, you have to have some fun."

"I'll try, but I can't make any promises."

Joe and Nick sighed. They knew it was no use at all trying to cheer him up because it never worked.

MGM wasn't as packed as Jennifer thought that it would be. The lines were still long, of course, but they weren't anywhere near as long as they usually were. She took her brother on a few rides before insisting that they eat lunch. Whenever it was lunch time, Jennifer always got one of two things. She either got chicken tenders and french fries or she got a cheeseburger and fries. She went with the cheeseburger today. She had never tasted a cheeseburger quite like it anywhere. That's why she always went with the unhealthy food when she was on vacation; you could never find it better anywhere else!

As they were sitting there, Michael brought up the previous day. "So...I think you should try and contact Kevin Jonas."

"What? That's the craziest idea you've ever had, and you've had some crazy ideas!" Jennifer laughed.

"Jenn, you know he was looking at you. You know it!"

"Maybe he was, but I'm sure he does that all the time."

"You're not going to admit you love him, are you?" Michael looked disappointed.

"Mike, I don't even know the guy. How could I possibly love him?"

"If you met him, I bet you'd fall in love with him!"

"Maybe. I guess we'll never know!"

Michael groaned and continued on eating his chicken. When they were done eating, Jennifer told Michael he could pick where they went next.

"Star Wars!" he said excitedly.

"Alright, let's go!" Jennifer wasn't particularly found of this ride, but it was one of her brother's favorites.

The strange thing was, as they got closer to the ride, she started to get the same feeling she got at breakfast. The line was moderately short, but they still had a small wait time. She leaned up against the wall and wrapped her arms around her stomach, willing the feeling to go away. Michael looked at her, a concerned look on his young face.

"I'm alright," she assured him.

"You're getting that feeling again!" he exclaimed.

"Maybe. I'm not sure."

"We don't have to go on the ride if you don't want to, Jenn."

"No, no, we'll go."

What Jennifer and Michael were unaware of was the fact that Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas had got in line about thirty people behind them.

"I feel like such a kid, but I love this ride," Nick said.

"You are a kid, little brother," Kevin joked.

"Very funny," Nick said.

Joe was just glad that Kevin was feeling better. The past few hours they had been riding like crazy. No one had recognized them either, which surprised them thoroughly. A few people had stared at them, trying to work it out in their minds whether they would risk asking if it was them, but no one actually did. They had tried hard to not look like themselves so they could enjoy the day without being stopped a bunch of times.

Kevin was wearing a white pair of denim shorts with a skinny red belt, which was pretty much something he would normally wear, as was the white Ralph Lauren polo that was accented with a red pony. He added a pair of white loafers and a baseball cap, too. A pair of aviators hid his eyes, but he certainly didn't think that would be enough.

Joe was wearing a plain green t-shirt with navy denim shorts. He chose white Nike sneakers and white plastic sunglasses as well. What he thought kept people away was his hat, which he managed to get all of his hair into so no one could see how long it was.

Nick wore a gray tank top with black denim shorts that resembled Kevin's. He also chose a pair of white and black Nike sneakers and black plastic sunglasses. Nick thought, like Joe, that it was the hat that made him unrecognizable. As soon as he got out of the shower that morning, he combed all his hair to the top of his head and stuck a hat over it. He didn't even want to see what it was going to look like when he took it off.

After almost a half hour, Jennifer and Michael were finally able to get on the ride. Jennifer still felt weird, and she couldn't enjoy it at all. They were sitting in the front row, and she stared at the ground the entire time instead of at the screen and the little robot to the side. Michael got a kick out of it, and that was what was important to her. When it was over, they proceeded on to the gift shop.

"Can I have some of the money mom gave you for me? I want to buy something!" Michael asked.

"Yeah," she said, handing him one of his fifties, "just don't spend it all, okay?"

"I'll try not to." He flashed a smile and walked away towards the books.

As the boys got off of the ride, everyone's minds were racing. They knew what was coming, but none of them wanted to talk about it.

Joe was thinking, "Should we even stop in the store? Kevin is going to be a mess, what the heck am I supposed to do?"

Nick was thinking, "This is bad. This is really bad. Why did I suggest we go on this ride?"

Kevin was thinking, "I think I'm going to puke."

They walked at a slow pace, Joe and Nick side by side, Kevin trailing behind. Once they were in the store, they froze.

"Well, I want to buy a Yoda shirt, so I'll catch up with you guys later," Nick said, walking away from his brothers and towards a random rack of shirts.

Joe and Kevin stood by the area where they were taking pictures of little kids and putting them on Star Wars characters' bodies. Neither of them said anything. Joe was afraid of upsetting Kevin, and Kevin was afraid of upsetting himself. He was keeping his composure at the moment, and he knew anything could set him off.

Jennifer was looking at random toys on the shelves against the back wall when she turned around to see if Michael was near her. He was still looking at books a little ways down the wall, so she figured she would just stand in the same spot until he was ready to go.

Then, her eye caught someone standing a few yards away from her. He was dressed very handsomely, and his curly hair was poking out from under his white baseball cap. She stared at him for a moment, trying to place him. Then, it hit her.

"Oh my God," Jennifer said under her breath. "It can't be, can it?"

She got up the nerve to walk over to him and find out.

Kevin wasn't paying any attention, until Joe slammed his elbow into his side, forcing him to look to his left. As soon as he turned, she was there. He felt his head spin and his breathing became shallow. He held onto Joe to keep from losing his balance.

"Are you Kevin Jonas?" Jennifer asked him quietly, trying to be considerate of the fact that he didn't want attention drawn to him.

Kevin opened his mouth, but no words came out. Joe nudged him in the back, which made him mumble, "Uhyeah."

Jennifer *CENSORED*ed an eyebrow and smirked.

"Oh boy," Joe said and couldn't help but laugh.

Kevin still couldn't utter anything normal, so Jennifer took the initiative and introduced herself. "I'm Jennifer Shan." She held out her hand to shake.

"I'm...Kevin?" he said it as if he wasn't sure.

Joe burst out laughing at this, and Jennifer looked past Kevin to show him she was also amused.

"Hi, Kevin. I'm sorry to bother you, I just thought I'd take a chance and see if it was you."

"Are you a Jonas Brothers fan?" Joe asked.

"Well, I guess. My little brother is the real fan in the family, I just like to listen to your music. I guess that would consider me a fan?"

Kevin took their conversation as flirting and got up the nerve to talk. "It's really nice to meet you, Jennifer," he said sweetly.

"It's nice to meet you, too." She flashed him a smile that made him melt.

"I'll leave you two to talk," Joe said, rushing away to find Nick.

"You're...are you really talking to me right now?" Kevin asked, sounding completely star struck.

"Shouldn't I be asking you that?" Jennifer laughed again. "You're funny."

"I'm sorry, I just...you recognized me?"

"Yeah, I could tell it was you. I'm sorry to bother you, I just wanted to come say hi."

"No, I'm so glad that you did," Kevin said, smiling. He then saw that Joe and Nick were starting to walk out of the store, and he knew he'd have to catch up with them and let them know he wanted to walk around with Jennifer. "Hey, I have to go talk to my brothers real quick, but would you mind meeting up later?"

"Meeting up later?"

"Yeah, we could walk around...maybe get a popsicle or something?" Kevin wished he could cross his fingers because he was really afraid of her answer.

"Oh, that would be great. Actually, I should probably get my brother back to my parents, too."

"Um, here let me get your number."

Jennifer gave it to him, he programmed it into his phone, and then texted her so she would have his as well.

"I'm extremely surprised that you trust me with your number. You hardly know me."

"I would trust you with anything," Kevin said, almost as if he were in a daze.

A wide smile spread across Jennifer's face. "Wow, you're a cutie."

"I'm sorry, I know I'm such a dork. Listen, I have so much to tell you, so I promise I'll call you within the hour."

"You have stuff to tell me?" She was very confused.

"I'll call you," he said as he walked away and ran to his brothers.

After Kevin left Jennifer turned to where her brother was and saw him staring at her, jaw dropped to the floor. She laughed and walked over to him.

"Are you serious! I told you! I told you! I told you!" Michael said excitedly.

"I know, I can't believe it. It was so odd. He seemed so...so...nervous around me. I totally don't get it, Mike. Totally don't get it," Jennifer said.

"Are you guys going to see each other again?"

"Yeah, later on. Do you mind if I take you back to mom and dad?"

"No! As long as you promise to give me details later, of course."

"You are such a girl. But okay, I promise."

Before Kevin caught up to Nick and Joe, Joe was telling Nick all about it.

"He was so freaked, you could totally tell," Joe said.

"I can't believe it was her! And I missed it!" Nick said.

"Dude, it was so weird. I was in complete shock, but definitely not as much as Kevin was."

Then, Kevin joined them with the biggest smile that they'd ever seen their older brother wear. "Well, boys, I'm pretty sure I will never doubt myself again."

"Dude, I am so sorry for anything I said," Joe apologized.

"Yeah, me too," Nick added.

"Hey, no worries. It doesn't matter anymore. I found her, and we're hanging out later."

"What are you gonna tell mom and dad?" Nick asked.

"That I met a girl. What else?"

"You think they'll be cool with it if you give her your number?" Joe asked.

"Too late."

"Dang, you work fast, bro," Joe said.

"I'm not letting her get away," Kevin said seriously.

"I'm happy for you," Nick said with a bright smile, clapping Kevin on the back.

"Thanks, I just hope she likes me."

Joe and Nick laughed softly as they made their way to where their parents were.

After Michael was safe with their mom and dad, Jennifer sat down on a random bench to wait for Kevin's call. When her phone finally rang, her heart stopped. It was actually him!

"Hello?" she answered.

"Hey, Jennifer!" Kevin said happily.

"Where are you?" she asked him.

"Right behind you."

She stood up and turned around. There he was, walking towards her. They both hung up, and she started walking towards him. When they reached each other, Kevin opened his arms and embraced her. She smiled into his shoulder, hugging him back.

"So what do you say we get a popsicle?" Kevin suggested.

"Sounds good to me," Jennifer agreed.

They walked a little ways until they reached a stand that sold the big colorful popsicles. Kevin bought them both and handed her her's.

"You didn't have to pay for me," Jennifer said.

"I wanted to. You deserve to be taken care of," Kevin said.

"Can you please explain to me now, why you think you know me so well?" Jennifer asked, trying not to sound rude or offended.

"Well, you're going to think that I'm...a creeper or something."

"No, I won't," she promised.

Kevin sighed. He was afraid to tell her, but he knew that he had to. But how would she react? What if she did think it was creepy, and she never wanted to see him again? He wouldn't be able to handle that. Then again, she might think it's amazing and wonderful. That's how he felt about it.

All at once he spilled out his dream, adding how he had seen her at the concert, and that he had been miserable without her. Once he was finished, she didn't say anything for a minute or so. Kevin was afraid to talk, he just bit off some of his popsicle and stayed silent.

All of a sudden she said, "That's absolutely incredible. I mean, if you are being completely and totally honest with me right now, that's just insanely cool."

"I swear, I am not lying. I really did feel like I was supposed to be with you."

"Well, I'm here! Am I worse than what you were expecting?"

"You're exactly what I was expecting, and once I get to know you, I'm sure you'll be even more."

"Stop being so sweet," she said playfully. "The weird thing is, I had the oddest feeling this morning and when I got on the Star Wars ride. Maybe this is why?"

"There was definitely something working to get us together. Couldn't you feel it?"

"I could, and I liked it."

"This is so cool," Kevin said out of no where.

"You think this is cool? Um, hello, Kevin Jonas bought me a popsicle in Disney World!"

They both laughed and continued their walk through the park. Their popsicles were both eaten within ten minutes, and that freed up their hands. Kevin had his swingly dangerously close to Jennifer's. Jennifer had hers close by her side, not sure if she should move it. Both were completely clueless that the other wanted to hold hands, and so it never ended up happening.

"So, tell me about yourself!" Kevin said before quickly adding, "I know that's a broad topic, but you can tell me whatever you want."

"Well, I'm eighteen, I like to read, and I have no idea what I want to do with my life!" Jennifer said.

Kevin laughed, "You seem like you would know what you wanted."

"I used to think I did, but now I just can't figure it out. I'm not going to college because I honestly thought it would be a waste of my time when I didn't even know what I wanted to do."

"That's understandable. It's definitely not a bad thing, either."

"Yeah, I guess. It just seems like my parents are a little disappointed in me because of it. I just don't think it's right for me."

"Hey, don't think about that. You're a great person, and college isn't for everyone."

"I hope you're right," Jennifer said smiling up at him.

"I am." He smiled, too.

They talked for awhile before Kevin's phone rang. It was his mom.

"Hello?" he answered.

"Hey, Kev, we're gonna head out and get dinner. Want to meet us outside the entrance?" his mom said.

"Can Jennifer come?" Kevin asked quietly.

"Jennifer? Is that the girl you are with?"

"Yeah. Mom, she's really great. I want you to meet her."

"Okay, if you want to bring her along, we'd love to have her."

"Thanks, I love you," Kevin said.

"I love you, too. See you soon!"

They hung up, and Kevin turned to Jennifer with a bright smile on his face.

"What?" she asked. "What's going on?"

"Would you like to have dinner with my family and I?" Kevin asked, just as much of a gentleman as ever.

"Your family? Are they okay with that?"

"Yes, my mom would love for you to join us."

"Then, yes, I will certainly have dinner with you!"

He smiled wider, clearly relieved that she hadn't shot him down. They hugged for a few moments before breaking free and walking towards the direction of the entrance. There was still no hand holding.

Jennifer was quite nervous about meeting Kevin's family, afterall, she did just meet him today. Kevin, however, was completely at ease and very excited that he had a special girl to bring to dinner for once. Joe and Nick frequently invited random girls to hang out, but none of them had ever invited a girl to dinner with their family. He was hoping that it showed Jennifer he meant to see her again.

When Jennifer saw the rest of the Jonas family standing in a group, she couldn't believe it. She was actually going to eat dinner with them! But at the same time, she realized they were just another family. The fact that she wasn't a huge Jonas Brothers fan also helped her keep her cool around them.

"Hey guys, this is Jennifer," Kevin introduced once they'd reached his family.

A chorus of "Nice to meet you" rang out, and she shook everyone's hand, even little Frankie's. As they walked to the rented van, Jennifer heard them discussing Planet Hollywood and guessed that was their destination for dinner. She loved Planet Hollywood, and she couldn't imagine the kind of atmosphere it would have tonight.

When they got to the van, Denise and Kevin Sr. got into the front seats, while Kevin and Jennifer sat in the two middle seats. That left the three back seats for Joe, Nick, and Frankie.

"See I knew they would like you," Kevin whispered in Jennifer's ear.

"Hey, mom, can we take a little detour? I am in serious need of a shower," Nick said as he pointed to his head. He knew his hair was a complete wreck.

"Yeah, I suppose we have time. Jennifer you don't mind, do you?" Mrs. Jonas asked.

"Oh, no, it's fine," Jennifer replied.

When they reached the hotel, Jennifer had no clue whether she was supposed to go upstairs with Kevin, or wait downstairs or in the hallway...

Her thoughts were cut short when Kevin stopped by her side, motioning for her to follow him into the elevator. They sat on the couch in the brothers' villa, while Joe and Nick took turns with the shower.

"Are you sure your mom doesn't mind that I'm in here?" Jennifer asked worriedly.

"She's completely cool with it. She trusts me, it's not a big deal," Kevin answered, trying to show her that his parents weren't as overprotective as everyone thought.

"I'm sorry I'm so...nervous...I mean, I just met you today, and it's been crazy!"

"I think I'm more nervous than you are. I'm surprised you didn't think I was a complete idiot when you first met me."

"I thought you were adorable. Honestly though, I didn't have any intentions besides saying hey. See, I didn't tell you this, but my brother told me that he thought you were staring at me at the concert, so I figured if you remembered me..." she trailed off because Kevin had started to grin.

"Oh, I was definitely staring at you."

"Creeper!" Jennifer joked.

"You're beautiful," Kevin said.

They didn't get very far after that because Joe came out and told Kevin he could have the shower. He hated to leave Jennifer alone, but he knew he needed a shower. He promised he wouldn't be long and then left her sitting on the couch.

The hotel the boys were staying at was the Yacht and Beach Club Resort, and she knew her brother knew exactly where that was, so she called him quickly.

"Michael! I need you help!" she said quickly and quietly.

"What's up?" he asked, ready for anything.

"Can you bring me clothes? I'm going to eat with the boys tonight, and I really look like crap."

"Yeah, what do you want?"

"Okay, the navy blue polka dotted dress, you know the short one?"

"Got it, what shoes?"

"White cork heels, please!"

"Alright, what resort am I riding my bike to?"

"Yacht and Beach. The one we stayed at last year. I'll meet you out front, thanks!" she hung up because Nick came out.

"Hey, it's nice to meet you," Nick said, sitting down next to her on the couch.

"You too," Jennifer nodded.

"So...pretty crazy how things work out."

"Very crazy. I still don't believe it." She paused for a minute and then said, "Listen, I know you guys might be a little skeptical about all this, but I promise I'm not out to hurt your brother. He's amazingly sweet, and if there is something there for us, that would be great."

"After meeting you, I have no doubt you're perfect for him. He really likes you a lot, and you've only known him for a day. I think that should tell everyone something," Nick said.

They talked a little bit more about themselves, getting to know each other, and then Jennifer received a text message from her brother that let her know he w
