Okay, so I'm going to start another fic, and see if this one works out better. I've got a bit written out in my notebook right now, so I'm going to post the first, and possibly the second chapters tonight. Please comment if you like! Thanks a ton!
Much love,
Haley <3

||Chapter One||
"Now and she does it like this when you do it like that. Now and she touches like this - " Jasmine's phone sang.
"Joe," she muttered into her pillow. She groaned and yawned, then reached for her Sidekick LX on the bedside table. "What do you want Joseph? It's seven a.m."
"Look outside your window," was all he said, then hung up.
Jasmine rolled out of her bed and walked over to the window that was near her bed. She unlatched it and looked out. Sure enough, there was Joseph Adam Jonas, her best friend of fourteen years, sitting on the balcony-like roof outside of her window. He had two drinks from Starbucks and two doughnuts in his hands.
She slid her window open and crawled out of it onto the roof beside Joe. He handed her a doughnut and one of the drinks.
"Morning, Jazz," he greeted with a silly grin. "Got your favorites."
"Morning, Joe," she replied, mimicking his grin. "You know me too well. Coffee and doughnuts for breakfast! Heck yes!"
Joe laughed and began eating, taking occasional sips of his Strawberry Creme Frappuccino. They sat there for a few minutes in contented silence while they munched on their breakfast.
This was the daily ritual for Joe and Jazz whenever Joe was home on a break from touring the country with his family. He'd gotten back just last night and was home for the next three weeks before he had to leave again.
The two finished their breakfasts.
"You up for a little run?" Joe asked.
"Well...I guess. But only 'cause you just got back. You know I have a mile-long lazy streak," Jazz joked.
Joe smiled. Jazz led him back into her bedroom and Joe closed the window behind himself. Jazz rifled through her closet and dresser, grabbing some red, white, green, and black plaid shorts, a black tank-top, some undergarments, and some green high-tops that matched the green in the shorts.
"Aren't those...?" Joe began, indicating the shoes.
"Nick's? Yeah. I borrowed 'em before you guys left, but I never got to give them back."
"Will he ever get to see them again?" Joe asked, crooking an eyebrow.
"Of course! On me," she replied with a smug smile. "Now, turn around and close your eyes."
Joe did as instructed and Jazz changed quickly from her white sweatpants and blue t-shirt into the new clothes she'd just picked out. When she finished, Joe turned around.
"Perfect timing," Jazz commented.
"I know. That's just the way I roll," he said, using over-dramatic hand gestures. Jazz rolled her eyes.
"Let's get a move on, music boy."
The two quietly walked downstairs, avoiding all of the creaky areas as to not wake Jazz's parents. Jazz stopped in the kitchen to write a quick note.
Mom & Dad,
Went on a run w/ Joe. I'll be over at his house afterwards. Be back later!
Love ya,
Jazzy xoxo
She pinned the note to the refrigerator and then linked arms with Joe. Her parents would call later, so she slid her Sidekick into her pocket as they traipsed out the door, Jazz locking it behind her.
They began jogging at a nice pace so they could still talk without getting too winded.
"So I was thinking," Jazz began.
"Oh my gosh," Joe gasped. "You thought?!"
Jazz slapped him playfully on the arm. "Oh, can it. Anyway, I was thinking that maybe I could tour with you guys this time. I mean, I only get to see you guys a few weeks at a time, and it's kinda suckish."
"I have no objections," Joe replied. "And I'm sure no one else will either. Now all you have to do is convince your parents to let you go away for six months."
"Six months?! You were gonna leave me for that long?" Jazz exclaimed.
Joe looked guiltily down at the pavement that was moving beneath their feet.
"Well, that's the price you have to pay when you have a rockstar for a best friend," he replied.
"Oh yeah. Sometimes it's hard to believe you're famous. I swear."
Joe smirked. "Well, you know how I do."
"Of course." Jazz rolled her eyes for the second time that morning.

So, tell me what you think!
