Hello fellow JBF-ers. That sounded stupid but, oh well. This is a new joint that Ali, Christine and I (Ashleigh) are writing. I think it's a little different and fun because it's not the normal romance stories that you find a lot. It's just a funny narrative about . . . well, I'll let you find that out on your own. lol I hope that you enjoy and comments are always great!
Prologue
Another day trying to be normal people instead of celebrities. As the black minivan pulled up infront of their favourite all time icecream place, well, let's just say they were very excited. It had been a very long time since they'd been here as themselves instead of the Jonas Brothers. The youngest one, with the fairly new cut hair got out first. He hadn't been here since.. well.. he didn't remember. It was a very long time. The next boy, with shaggy brown hair got out next. This was the place where he had met his girlfriend. Finally, the oldest one got out. His parents had taken him here since he was three. He loved Rita's icecream. Something about it made him feel like a five year-old trapped in a twenty year-old's body.
Walking up to the window at their favorite ice cream spot, Rita's, their thoughts were confirmed; they were home. Quickly placing their orders, the three brothers looked around as silence filled the air around them. For the first time in a while, they were finally able to feel like normal people instead of the celebrities everyone saw them as.
After paying for their frozen treats, they found a table near the bus and began to make small talk. The more the boys looked around at the sights around them, the more memories began flooding back to them. Childhood and teenage memories, both good and bad.Laughter found itself present at the table, as the brothers began to tell stories of their life before rockstars. One thing was certain; this small New Jersey town not only was their home, it was their life, and this was just the beginning.
There was a certain feeling that someone gets when they return to the place where they grew up. It's hard to describe but, it's warm and comforting. Suddenly, you become worry-free. And, they felt this feeling. It's not the house they grew up in, exactly, that was home. It was the town, the environment, the people. A lot has changed, just like anywhere else. But, nothing can take away the feeling of sitting around a table with the umbrella in front or Rita's. With this combination of things, it's only a matter of time until your mind flows back to the days; both good and bad. The town holds more than stores, houses, and people. It holds memories.
