I glanced at the clock on the wall. Five more minutes...four...three...two...one...

The bell rang and I jumped out of my seat. The last day of school, the beginning of summer! I had news for my two best friends, Katelynn and Megan, so I grabbed my things and rushed to my locker to put them in my backpack and meet up with them.

I saw them outside already, so I ran out the door and sprinted over to them.

"Guess what you guys?" I asked when I reached them.

"What, Shelbi?" Megan responded.

Usually, news that I delivered wasn't all that great. It was only semi-great, or bad news. But this one was the best of all.

"Okay, I was talking to all of our parents last night, see? And I convinced them to let us all go on a trip, by ourselves, to LA!" I shouted excitedly.

"Nuh uh! No way!" Katelynn screamed in response.

"Seriously? You convinced all of our parents to let us go by ourselves completely across the country to LA for no reason?" Megan asked loudly.

"Seriously!" I replied, nodding my head at the same time.

Megan nodded her head in approval and stated, "Nice."

"I know, right?" I asked.

We laughed and bolted over to Megan's red Alfa Romero 8C, and jumped in. On the way back to our houses, Katelynn asked, "So, when're we leaving?"

"About that. We're leaving tomorrow morning..." I said.

"WHAT?!" Megan asked. She stepped on the gas pedal a little harder, and we sped down the streets to Katelynn's house first.

We dropped Katelynn off, and then I was dropped off. "I'll call the both of you later to plan everything, okay?"

"'Kay! Talk to you then!" Megan replied, and I slammed the car door shut, and she sped off.

"Okay, now that we all have our suitcases packed for the next three weeks, what are we all wearing tomorrow?" I asked.

"Well, I'M gonna wear my teal glaze AE Striped Henley Hoodie, white AE Boyfriend Tank underneath that, AE Stretch Hipster Jeans, and my navy blue AE Polka Dot Ballet Sneakers. Cute?" Megan replied.

"Definitely!" I answered, and I proceeded with telling them my outfit. "Okay, let me see. Oh! Okay, I'm gonna go all Abercrombie on you! My white Abercrombie Daliah Tube Top, black and white plaid Abercrombie Molly shorts, white Abercrombie Faye hat, and white Classic Rubber Flip Flops."

"Gorgeousness!" Katelynn said, and we laughed. "Tonight, Katelynn will be wearing a white HCo Hammerland Tee, a denim HCo Strands Point skirt, white Mussel Shoals legwarmers, and some blue AE Suede Ballet Flats." Katelynn said all of this with an announcers voice for someone that would narrate a fashion show.

We all laughed and giggled, "Too cute!"

When we were over joking for a little while, I said, "So, are you both pumped?"

"Pumped as a gas tank!" Megan replied and we laughed again.

"'Kay, well I gotta hit the hay. Megan, if you'd be willing to pick us all up at four tomorrow morning..." I began, but I wasn't sure. Megan wasn't a morning person. She preferred the afternoon.

"Don't worry, I will. Four o' clock sharp!" she replied.

"Okay, good. See you guys then! Night!" I said.

"Night!" Katelynn and Megan replied in unison. Then I hung up and went to bed, excited for the next three weeks ahead of us.
