So, um here it is! For those who didn't see the audition thread or when I posted the idea for opinions, the simplest way I can put it is:
Think of this as one big FF and each one shot is an update. Each one shot has it's own little story but they tie together to tell and even bigger one. It's complicated, I know but I hope you will understand more as you read. Each one shot is based on a Jonas Brothers song, or more of the story behind it. The updates will go in order from Kevin to Joe to Nick and so on. So, enjoy! :D
Take my hand tonight . . .
"You see that star?", Kevin said as he pointed up at the sky. Rachel shook her head and let a soft giggle out. "That one. Right there", he said again, still pointing aimlessly into a sky full of twinkling lights.
"Kevin, there are millions of stars up there.", she noted. He picked her hand up off of the blanket that the two were lying on and point her finger towards a star.
"That one. The really bright one." He looked over at her, his eyes staring directly into hers, but hers were fixated on the vase universe in front of her.
"Yea. I see it now" Her voice was soft, as if she had to whisper or all those twinkling lights would come crashing down. He looked back up and still, every star in that sky could not compare to anything on this earth, and from the looks of it, they couldn't compare to anything out their, in the depths of the darkness either.
"That is our star.", he whispered in her ear. She laid the side of her face on his chest, so that their faces were parallel. This gave her the ability to look through his eye and into his soul. She was the only one who could do that, the only one with the power to see through the person that he was supposed to be and to lock into the person that he wants to be.
"How is that our star?", she ask curiously.
"Because anywhere we are, we can always look up right there and know that like the star, we will always be in the same place. Distance is just physical; I'll always be here in the farthest creases of my mind. Right here, sitting on this blanket with you." She looked down, trying to hide her red cheeks from him. The candles didn't hide the slight blush though.
"Kevin, how did you get to be so darn perfect?". Her head rested ever so lightly on his chest. She could feel his heartbeat and the rhythm could put her to sleep.
"I'm far from perfect but, I try", he said, making her giggled once more. Her laugh brought a smile to his face. It was as if the whole world was there, on that blanket. The candles being the sun illuminating all their hope and dreams. Time stopped around them.

His bags were packed and she tried to stop herself from shedding a tear. Suddenly, that blanket seemed so small compared to the world he was about to face. She stood on the steps of their house, soon to be empty. She didn't know what to do, she didn't feel that she could bring herself to say goodbye. It was if the word was removed from her vocabulary.
He approached her, his head never looking up from the familiar concrete below his feet. His hands were glued to the inside of his pockets. He could see that her face was flushed but not once did she show her true feelings. She was strong, perhaps even stronger about it than he. One of his hands pulled out of it's place and with it held a piece of paper. He held her hand and placed it in, holding it tight so she couldn't look yet. Pulling her into a hug, he let one single tear cascade down his face. He didn't want to cry, it just happened. The embrace was warm and neither wanted it to end but, all good things must. He kissed her one last time before stepping on to that bus.
Right before he closed the door, he glanced back; this giving her the okay to look at the fragile piece of paper he had left her. She unfolded the edges carefully, not wanting any of the love to fall out of it. That's when the tears came. It was a map. No ordinary road map but, a map of the sky. Written next to their star was a line or two.
You know when the sun forgets to shine
I'll be there to hold you through the night . . .
