Chap.1
3 weeks later
“Jane I need you” Joe calls out from the kitchen.
Rolling my eyes, I manage to get up from the computer, having in the process of writing their new blog update.
“Yes, Joseph” I say squeezing myself through all the mess in the hallway. The tour bus was crowded with clothes, everywhere. And when I say everywhere, I mean everywhere. Shoes thrown and hanging from the small showers, toothpaste all over the bathroom sink, dirty socks still not washed, skinny ties thrown all over the couch. By the first week of living with the Jonas Brothers in one small bus, I have come to the conclusion that they need some discipline in how to keep their stuff organized.
“Where is my laptop?” the wavy haired boy asks.
“I'm using it Joseph, for work purposes. I’ll give it to you when I'm done”
“I want to check my myspace”
“That’s fine, but I'm in the middle of writing something, I will give it to you when I'm finished. Ok?”
“Fine, no need for the attitude” and with that, the stubborn teenager walked over to the couch and turned the television on.
Joseph and I weren’t that many years apart. He was actually only 1 year younger than me. When I had applied to this job, I thought it would be a piece of cake. Well its not. It’s like having 3 children. Except for 2 out of the three actually have some manners.
“Hey Jane” The tour bus door swings open and in walk Nicholas and Kevin.
“Hey boys, what did you buy?” I asked. We made a stop at a gas station near where they are performing.
I see Kevin search the plastic bag. “The usual, gummy worms, diet coke, red bull, chips, cereal. You know, the needs”
“Oh yes, what is a world without gummy worms?”
“Hell” I hear Joseph call out from the sofa.
I laugh. Joseph always tends to make me laugh the most out of the 3 brothers. Which is weird, he isn’t that very pleasant.
“Dad says we might stop at a hotel for the night. There might be a storm coming in” Nick tells grabbing one of the diet red bulls from the fridge.
“I told you boys that before spending the night at another hotel, this bus better be cleaned up. And I meant it.”
-Total silence-
“I'm serious guys, your mom told me.” I explained.
“I'm kind of tired, Jane” Nick ‘yawns’. Bad faker.
“Yea, walking all the way over to the supermarket, really has tensed up my muscles. I think I may need some rest” Kevin stretched his arms.
“What a coincidence.” I shook my head and began walking to my part of the bus. Everyone knows that once you reach the back of the bus, you must keep complete silence. I need my work to be done, and if a song is in the process of being written you just walk over to the back of the bus, and it’s a whole new world back there.
“JANEEEEEEE”
You have got to be kidding me. Once again, I have to pause my work.
“Yes?”
“Get all your stuff, we’re spending the night at the Hilton” Joseph says already with his coat at hand.
“Oh dear” I quickly walked over to my bunk and grabbed the important stuff. Cell phone and Laptop.
“Okay I'm ready”
