Sarah and I got into her car. We had agreed to follow the boys to the Starbucks Kevin was at with Big Rob. I was very surprised to see Nick without him, because he seems to always be with him. I asked Joe about this. He said that Rob had gone with Kevin to go get some food. This didn’t surprise me. A guy that size has to get veryyy hungry. I chuckled at this thought.

“This is so exciting!” Sarah exclaimed. “I seriously cannot believe what happened in the past two hours!”

“I know, its, insane. And hayyy! You and Nick seem to be getting along very well!”

Sarah blushed and but down the roof of her convertible.

“Well, you and Joe, you guys seemed a little friendly, him helping you with your shot..the way he had his arms around yours….”

I blushed and looked outside. I hadn’t let anyone hold me like that since camp, with Connor. It hurt me to think about it. Connor and I had been at the beach the last night. Our friends were there, but we had strayed from the group. The sun was setting on the lake, and there were two swans swimming together.“I love you Chelsea, forever, don’t you ever forget.” His words continue to echo in my head. To bad forever meant something different to him. The world started to get blurry.

“Chelsea, are you okay? Chelsea? Answer me!”

That’s when I noticed I was crying.

“Oh,” I sniffed, “I’ll be fine…” I got out my ray bans and put them on to hide the puffyness of my eyes. Then I realized the boys had switched to the lane next to us. I saw Joe smiling at me and waving. The pain inside melted. I waved back to him and smiled. He pointed at his glasses and gave me a thumbs up. This made me laugh. The he hit the gas a little harder, and I noticed he was a trying to get ahead of us.

“Sarah! He’s racing us! GO GO GO!” I laughed

Sarah hit the gas, just enough to beat Joe, but not get us a ticket. Their Escalade Hybrid had nothing on Sarah’s Saturn Sky. We won!

“Nice you guys, but you do know that if we hadn’t slowed down for you, we would of won, right!?” Joe laughed

“oh you know you guys had no chance!” I fired back laughing

“So Sarah, what kind of coffee is your favorite?” Nick was asking Sarah, while they were walking into Starbucks, leaving Joe and I behind. I heard her answer “Greentea Frapp.” and him getting all excited because it was his favorite too. I smiled.

“Awkward!” Joe exclaimed, right on que.

“Yeah, you could say that again.”

We started walking toward the Starbucks, behind Sarah and Nick, who were walking in sync, completely forgetting Joe and I.

“So Chelsea, what are you going to get?” Joe asked me.

“Eh, probably the Strawberry Crème frapp, its my favorite.”

“Oh, me too! They’re sooo good!” Joe exclaimed

“I knoww! They are so sweet !”

“Oh hey! There’s Kevin and Big Rob!”

“Hey guys!” Said Kevin, “how was golfing?”

“Pretty fantastalistic!” Joe exclaimed. “Here, let me introduce you to my new friend Chelsea, Chelsea, this is my older brother Kevin.”

“Hi Kevin. Its really great to meet you.”

“Nice to meet you too. So who’s the girl Nicks making goo goo eyes at?” Kevin laughed

“Oh, that’s my friend Sarah. We were golfing together, and that’s when we met your brothers.” I laughed, carefully trying to keep out the fact that I had hit Joe in the head with my golf ball.

“Ah, I see. So let me guess who won. Nick again right?”

“Yupp..” Joe replied “but “Sarah gave him a run for his money…”

“Sounds like a good game, I’m sorry I missed it…”

“You should come next time bro, it’d be sweet to see someone beat Nick for once! But hey, lets get some coffee, I’m exhausted..”
