Chapter 1
Three broad shouldered boys stepped out of a limo in front of a luxurious hotel. The oldest of the three boys, Kevin, closed the door behind him. The boys looked at the hotel in awe. They had reservations for the Imperial Suite on the 20th floor. The boys waved at the driver as the limo pulled out of the parking lot. The youngest of the three, Nick, felt a cold raindrop on his forearm. Within seconds the light sprinkle had become a furious storm. The sky had developed dark clouds but had failed to produce rain all day. The boys started running with their suitcases and backpacks in hand. They ran into the lobby of the hotel.
The inside of the "Alex Johnson" hotel was at least 10 times luxurious than the outside. It had gold satin wallpaper, a velvet red carpet was rolled out to meet the guests at the rotating doors, the lineolium floor was shiney, the three boys could see their faces, and above the boy's heads, hung a golden chandelier which provided most of the light in the lobby. What fascinated these music loving boys was the symphony Beetoven was playing through the speakers.
"How may I help you gentlemen?" A lady behind a desk asked. "Uhm...we have reservations. Our name is Jonas J-O-N-A-S." The last remaining boy, Joe, said. "of course, you wanted no paparazzi or screaming fans waiting for you guys at the door. Right?" The lady asked. The boys all nodded. The lady handed each of the boys a keycard. They all shoved it into a pocket and listened to the lady talk about a man named Pierre showing them to their room.
Pierre put all the suitcases and backpacks and things onto a luggage cart. Pierre got into an opened elevator with the luggage, followed by the boys. On the 20th floor they all got out and Pierre led the boys to a pair of double doors labeled: "Imperial Suite." "Man, we could have found this ourselves." Joe said. His brothers stifled a few giggles. Joe took his suitcases off the cart. Nick and Kevin followed their brother's example. Nick gave Pierre a 5 dollar tip. Pierre nodded and got back in the elevator with the cart.
"Time for the moment of truth!" Kevin joked. Joe and Nick giggled. Kevin got out his keycard and swiped it on the door. The light turned from red to green and Kevin opened the double doors revealing the Imperial Suite. This was basically what they got when they stayed in a suite, but somehow this seemed still, more nicer than what they're used to. The room had three beds lined up in a row, a sliding door walking out onto a balconey, a giant television stood in front of a three cushioned couch, and a comfortable sized bathroom stood across a kitchenette. "Nothing can make this room any better!" Joe exclaimed. "How about this?" Nick asked, opening the refridgerator. "It just got better!" Joe said, taking a Regular Coke from a rack. "Now to make this room any better, it would need some PB and some apples." Joe said. Kevin took out the peanut butter and dug a baggie with apple slices inside out of the fridge. "Man is there anything that this room doesn't have?!" Joe asked. "Well, it doesn't have cute girls!" Nick said. "True!" Joe said. Kevin broke out in laughter.
That night when dinner was served Kevin had ordered room service to come to the room. He had ordered for all his brothers. Kevin opened the door and saw a slim girl in a hotel uniform carrying a tray full of their food. "Let me help you." Kevin said. "Thank you!" the girl said. Kevin took the tray from the girl and put it on the coffee table. His brothers started eating their sushi and hamburgers. "So you work here?" Kevin asked. "uhm...I guess I do." the girl said. "So do you have a name?" Kevin asked. "Yeah it's Sarah." the girl said. "That's a beautiful name. I really like it." Kevin said. "Thanks!" Sarah said. Sarah nodded and smiled a smug and happy smile as she left. "So I'll see you around?" Kevin asked, as Sarah walked down the hallway. "Sure!" Sarah said. She turned and waved Kevin goodbye. Little Did Kevin know that the girl he had met didn't work at the hotel but instead she was a ghost that lurked in the hotel!
