Chapter 1.5
I woke up at 7:00. Last night I thought I had heard some weird howling. It was probably just the neighbor's dog, Biscuit. I got dressed. Today me and my brothers had to go into the recording room and start recording a song for the next music video we were doing. "Joe hurry up in the shower! I need to take one too!" My brother, Nick said. "Since you been gone. I can breathe for the first time." I sang.
About five minutes later I came out of the bathroom, fully clothed, smelling Friday morning fresh! My hair was dried and straightened. I waltzed into the living room to put on my shoes. "Guys you'll be late!" My dad said. "What?" I asked. "We're supposed to be there in 15 minutes." Dad said. "Yeah Joe, please consider your brothers. It's not fair that they only get to take a 10 minute shower when you take an hour shower." Mom said. "Fine. So I take it...I missed breakfast?" I asked. Mom and Dad nodded their heads. I groaned. "But you can have this!" Mom said. She handed me a breakfast cereal bar. It was a Reese's Puff bar. I chowed down on it.
Dad drove us to the recording studio where we were recording Pushin' Me Away, again, for the new music video. "To fix what you done...turn back the time." I sang. I wasn't really sure if those were the correct lyrics or not. Sometimes being a rockstar is tiring.
Chapter 2
"Oh-ehm-jay!" I screeched. My best friend, Joann had two tickets for a Jonas Brothers concert! It was tomorrow. "I love you Jo!" I said, hugging my friend. That whole day I swooned over that ticket. I couldn't lose it. I couldn't wait for the concert.
The next day, me and Joann spent the whole day preparing for the concert. We made a giant poster, that would totally get noticed. "Where are our seats?" I asked, looking at my ticket. "Red section, row 4, seats 40 and 39." is what our tickets read. "I checked the ampitheater's seating arrangement on the internet. These are pretty good seats." Joann said. "Yes!" I said, holding the "s" for like 5 seconds.
"Okay lets finish this poster." Joann said. We had put glue on it in the shape of the letter "J" that was gonna' be glittered to be the color Gold. The other letters weren't as big and they were a silver color. At the bottom, I drew a cartoon picture of me kissing Joe, and he was about to faint. "Look!" I said. Joann looked at my drawing. "That's amazing!" Joann said. I blushed. I also drew a picture of Joann kissing Kevin and him almost fainting too. "This poster is gonna' be the bestest in the whole ampitheater!" Joann said. "I know!" I said. I gave Joann a high five.
At 7:00 we got a ride by Joann's mom to the ampitheater. Her mom parked the car and we made our way to the line. The line was about a block long. But the concert didn't start for another hour. Me and Joann waited until the gates opened and they would let us in!! At 7:40 they started letting people in. Me and Joann started screaming in excitment! Soon enough we were at the gate. I gave the ticket man my ticket, followed by Joann. "Go find your seats!" the ticket man said. We and Joann went through the gate. We held a stub that told our seats and the date and time. We found our seats and sat down on the bleachers. "Cotton candy!" A consession person yelled. "You want cotton candy?" I asked. Joann nodded. I took out my wallet and walked towards the lady with the cotton candy. "One bag please." I said. The woman traded me a bag of pink cotton candy for my 5 dollar bill. I opened up the cotton candy bag and walked back to Joann. I sat back in my seat and we shared the bag.
At 8:00 the sun was down and multi-colored lights shone on the stage. Four people walked onto the stage. There was the bass player, the drummer, the backup guitar player, and the keyboardist. They began playing a song that was very familiar to me. "I'm hot...you're cold...you go around...like you know...who I am...but you don't...you got me on my toes!" I heard a voice sing. Then I spotted them. They were coming onto the stage Joe had a microphone in hand, Kevin and Nick had guitars. They all made their ways to their posistions and started playing and singing the chorus to Burnin' Up!
After Burnin' Up, me and Joann stood up and held up our giant poster. The next song they sang when we put up the poster was called: "Australia." And when Joe saw our poster, as he sang the words: "She's my dream girl." he pointed to me!! Or the poster anyways.
They sang 8 more songs then ran off stage. "What about When You Look Me in the Eyes?" I asked, Joann. Joann shrugged. I made my way to the front row. I made sure security guards weren't looking and I jumped onto the stage. The crowd gasped. I found Joe's spot and grabbed the microphone from the stand. "Hey guys. You are all fans of the Jonas Brothers right?" I asked. Everyone screamed. "yeah, I am too. They forgot a very important song." I said. I crowd gasped. "They forgot a song. It was When You Look Me In the Eyes." I said. Everyone screamed. "Would you guys like to hear it?" I asked. The crowd screamed.
I ran backstage. I found Joe, Kevin, Nick and the rest of the band, hanging out. "What's this girl doing here?" Joe asked. "I'm a fan. They all wanna' hear a song. They wanna' hear When You Look me in the Eyes." I said. they all looked in my direction. "Now I don't want to disapoint the fans so c'mon lets do this thing. Nick you get on the piano and Kevin get on the acoustic. Joe you and me will sing the song. Nick, no singing except on the chorus." I explained. "Sounds like a plan!" Nick said.
Kevin, Nick and me ran back onto the stage. I took center mic and the guys took their posistions. "Okay you wanna' hear When you Look Me in the Eyes?" I asked. The crowd screamed. "I knew you wanted to." I said. "Hit it guys!" I added. Nick and Kevin and the other band members began playing the song.
"If the heart is always searchin' can you ever find a home. Can you ever find a home? I've been lookin' for that someone, I'll never make it on my own." I sang. I waited for Joe to come out and begin singing. "Dreams can't take the place of lovin' you! There's gotta' be a million reasons why it's true!" Joe sang, coming out onto the stage. The crowd screamed. "When you look me in the eyes, Tell me that you love me, everything's all right, when you're right here by my side. When you look me in the eyes, I catch a glimpse of heaven, I find my paradise. When you look me in the eyes." We all sang. Including the crowd. "How long will I be waitin' to be with you again?" Joe sang. "I'm gonna' tell you that I love you in the best way that I can." I sang. "I can't take a day without you here." Joe sang. "You're the light that makes my darkness disappear!" I sang, looking over at Joe. Everyone sang the chorus again. "More and more. I start to realize." I sang. "I can reach my tomorrow, I can hold my head up high." Joe sang, motioning for the crowd to wave their arms. "And it's all because of you by my side!" I sang. "When you look me in the eyes, tell me that you love me. Everything's all right. When you look me in the eyes." I sang. "When I hold you in my arms. I know that it's forever. I just gotta' let you know. I never wanna' let you go!" Joe sang, taking me in his arms. "When you looked me in the eyes, and say that you love me. Everything's all right. When you're right here by my side. When you look me in the eyes, I catch a glimpse of heaven. I find my paradise. When you look me in the eyes." Me and Joe finished, holding hands.
Everyone stopped playing and the crowd screamed. "Thank you!" I whispered. Joe kissed my cheek lightly. Which made the crowd ouuuuu...We all stepped off the stage. Backstage, me and the guys talked. "So that was your first time singing?" Nick asked. "Yea, unless you count choir as singing." I joked. Everyone laughed. "Would you like to record that with us sometime?" Joe asked. "That would be amazing! I'd love to! Wait...would it go on c.d.?" I asked. "Maybe our next upcoming c.d. we start recording for that c.d. in two months." Joe said. "What's that c.d. gonna' be titled?" I asked. "Jonas Brothers, Are Calling the Shots!" Joe joked. I giggled. "So you wanna' do the recording with us for that song?" Joe asked. I nodded. "So give us your number and we'll be in touch." Joe said, winking at me. I dug in my pocket for a piece of paper. I found an old sticky note. "Do you have a pen?" I asked. "Yo, Nick. Pen me up!" Joe said. Nick tossed Joe a pen. "Here you go!" Joe said. I took the pen and wrote all 7 digits to my phone number. I gave the pen and the sticky note to Joe. "oh...I gotta' go. My friend is waiting for me!" I said, suddenly remembering Joann. "Okay later." Joe said. "Yeah bye!" Kevin and Nick said. I waved to them and left through a back door.
I found Joann at the parking lot sitting on top of the car. I'm sure her mom was in the driver's seat. "So how was it?" Joann asked. "They want me to record the version of When You Look Me in the Eyes with them!" I replied. "No way!" Joann screamed. I nodded. Joann screeched as we both got into the car. Joann's mom drove me home and dropped me off.
