I spun around to find a blonde haired girl running towards Nick, oddly having no difficulty in her 4 inch pumps.
“Ashley?” Nick asked surprised, then pulled her into a hug. “Aren’t you supposed to be in New York on a photoshoot?”
Oh of course she was a model, I mean look at her flawless skin and perfect hair. She dresses like it too. She had on a sparkly blue halter dress, with a dip back so everyone could see her perfect tan.
“Yea, I did, but since the photographer is a friend of mine, I asked him to move it to next week so I could come and see you,” she said to Nick.
“Oh so you two are together?” I said, probably sounding like an idiot, of course they were together, she was all over him!
“Yep, almost two months,” she said, “And you are?”
“Cali Johnson,” I said.
“Oh right the singer,” she said with a small smile, then turned to Nick. “So what are you guys doing tonight?”
“Actually I was gonna ask Cali if she wanted to come over,” Kevin said looking at me.
“Yea, I’d love too. I’ll even bring my guitar,” I said excitedly.
This whole time Joe had been dissecting the sushi that I was poking at earlier. He had completely unwrapped it and was playing with and octopus-looking piece.
“Ewwww!” I said when I saw him.
“Shhh, I’m trying to figure out what it is,” Joe said holding it up with a pair of chopsticks.
“It’s nasty!” I said with a little giggle.
“No,” Ashley interrupted, in a know it all attitude, “it’s calamari,”
I gave her a confuse look, as if she just spoke German.
“Squid,” she said with a ‘duh’ expression on her face.
“Oh, that calamari,” I said, making Joe laugh.
“So, are you ready to go?” Kevin asked me.
“Yea, let me just quick go find my aunt,” I said.
“And we need to find Nick and Ashley,” Kevin said, since the two had wondered off.
I was walking to find my aunt and figured she’d be with boring people, smozzing, as she calls it. I walked upstairs and threw a couple of hallways, but before I knew it, I was lost. I was walking around and spotted the stairs, but I also saw something else.
