I was listening to iTunes when I was working on my other story when this song started playing. It's such a wondeful song and I thought of writing a short songfic for it. Oh, and I didn't use a particular JB, so you can let your imagination do that for you. :P Tell me what you think =)

It's the first time in three months that we get to be together again. The last time we talked was on the phone and we were having a stupid fight. Sure, we were together tonight, but we both felt the distance. She was in the passenger seat and staring outside the window as I drove us back to her house. Not seeing each other for such a long time really caused a strain in our relationship. Add to that while I'm busy on tour with my brothers, she was busy with school. I reach for her hand and squeeze it. She looks at me and gives me a faint smile, but she doesn't squeeze my hand back. She always does... At least, she used to.

I let go of her hand and she stares outside the window again. We get to her house and we just sit inside the car, in utter silence. I reach for her cheek and I run the back of my hand against it. She looks at me and gives me another faint smile. She looks at me straight in the eye, her brown eyes giving off a feeling of hurt and sadness. I know I've caused her so much pain these past few weeks.

"I'm sorry" I started. "I should have known better than to be angry with you for being too busy for me, when we both know that I've been busy too. I said as I ran my thumb against her cheek, wiping away her tears.

She nodded as she took my hand in hers. "I know. I understand. I guess I was just surprised that we got into a fight that huge." she said, fighting back the tears as she remembered our conversation over the phone when we were screaming at each other.

I pulled her closer to me, resting her head on my chest. She was breathing heavily as her tears finally escaped her eyes. "I love you. Always have, always will. Please remember that" I whispered as I kissed her on top of the head, hugging her tighter.

"I love you too" she finally whispered. I cried as I heard her say the words I've been longing to hear the entire night. I couldn't believe I was so close to losing her just because I couldn't hold my temper. I hugged her even tighter and kissed her again, thinking of how lucky I was to have her and for her to love me, because a girl like her is impossible to find.
