Seasons came and went, and sooner than I knew it, it has already been a year since the break-up. Things have started to change for the better. I managed to gain a job in New York as the top journalist for a fashion magazine. Le Belles. Joe moved on with his career as a rockstar with his two brothers. It was as if we never even knew each other.
I was in my office one afternoon, busy on my computer, replying to buisness e-mails and typing up my latest article -- An overview of last nights music awards, and the stars outfits -- I yawned for a moment, stretching backwards in my leather seat while my Blackberry vigorously vibrating on my mahogany office desk.
"Hey Audrina" I answered. "What's up?"
"A fashion crisis. Thats whats up!" Audrina anwered worriedley. "I have a date tonight, and believe me... I have NOTHING to wear"
"Oh, I believe you" I giggled at her expression. "I'm off in about twenty minutes." I glanced my my watch. "Meet me infront of my work and we can go shopping."
"Janilyn, you are my hero" Audrina sounded relieved. "I don't know how I can survive without you!"
"I know I know" I laughed again. "Anyway, I have to get back to work. See you soon" I shut off my phone and typed away.
The rest of my shift dragged on slowly. I lost count of the phone calls I got after 10. My fingers started to cramp up since I was typing like wildfire. I wouldnt be surprised if I got carpel tunnel soon.
Towards the end of my shift, the editor of the magazine, Noreen walked in. She had a bright smile on her face when she nearly skipped towards my desk.
"You''re going to love me for this" She chimed happily "I just got you the best story ever."
"You always say that" I chuckled at her. "Last time. you said that about the whole Jamie-Lynn scandal....Remember?"
"Well, This is better" She hyped. "Tonight my dear....You are going to the Madison Square Garden to cover a concert and host an interview" She handed me two tickets and to backstage passes.
"For who?" I lifted an eyebrow at her as I stuffed the tickets into my day planner.
"The Jonas Brothers."
My heart fluttered when Noreen replied. Only one person came into mind. Joe Jonas. I looked at Noreen and hesistated to speak.
"Wow..." I said, less than enthusiastic. "Nor, I don't think that I can cover this story..."
"Please?" Noreen pouted. "You're the only decent journalist we have, and this is a huge oppurtunity for you!"
"Uh..." I mumbled, Noreen made the famous puppy dog face and I was unfortunatley frawn in. "Sure...why not"
