Wish We Were Older(One shot song fic staring Sarah Adams & Kevin Jonas!)

His eyes watched her from across the room, she was at least five years younger than he was. But that didn’t really matter at the moment, she was gorgeous beyond repair, with a personality that matched, but he wished she was older.

Keep your body moving, girl
The beat is thumping
Go ahead and let them talk
Their words mean nothing

He made his way over to her and shyly smiled at her, she smiled back and then took his hand leading him off onto the dance floor. The beat played louder and louder with every second of time, and as they moved together it was perfection in his eyes. The girls around them talked and he could hear their vicious lies, but he let them fly for the time being she didn’t seem to mind much at all.

I know you're scared
But don't leave this place
Just turn around
And let me see your face

The song ended and she flushes a dark red before turning away from him ready to flee, he stopped her however by grabbing her arm and turning her back to him, he wanted to look her in the eyes. He didn’t expect what he saw though.

And now you're crying

And you whisper in my ear

The tears in her eyes were heartbreaking and he pulled her into a hug, trying his hardest not to cry along with her. She held on tight, almost as if afraid to let go and then as her tears slowed and his own eyes stopped misting over she leaned up and whispered in his ear.

I wish were older

“Baby I wish I was older.”
That was all she said on repeat and his ears burned, he loved how she had just purred out baby to him and he knew that he also wished she was older. But than again age is just a number, and if it’s love who is going to judge you other than God.

Both had made simple promises to themselves, their families, and God to stay pure until marriage. Both had known that they would marry for love. And it seemed like both knew that night that they were in love. His hands roamed her body, making sure to respect her, just trying to get to know her a little bit better and her own hands were grazing over his.

Just trust in me
I'll never run away
You kiss my lips
And you taste my pain

They shared a small kiss and she could feel the need in his lips, could feel the want, could feel the love but also the pain. She looked at him with sad eyes, tomorrow it would be another city, another girl, another pretty face, at least that’s what she thinks. But he concurs those fears by placing a small kiss to her lips again and whispering in her ear.
“Baby it’s you.”

And when I'm pushing
And I'm moving
Somehow you manage to say

Her friends found them in a corner and sent her looks of disapproving. How could she like, him, after all he was so old, and as some of her friends cruly thought so ugly. But she didn’t care, she was even tempted to stay with him, but then he pushed her away, a number in her hand, and she somehow managed to say.

Those were her last words of the night, but not the last words they spoke.

Six years after they first meet they meet again, in a very different place. She grabs hold of his hand and looks straight into his eyes as they start their life together. Vows go quick, the party goes quicker, and soon they are alone and moving to their own little sound. Just like the first night they start their movements and soon it’s just so perfect.

“Baby you are perfect.”

Ten months later the cries that emerge are a glorious sound and as he looks to his wife he spots the tears.
“Sarah baby don’t cry now.”
