There’s no class for the thing called love:
Prologue. (Colleen POV)
I have always had a hard time letting people inside. I’m afraid they might hurt me. Hurt my feelings. So many people have let my down, during my life, so I guess I have shielded myself, if you can say it that way. I have a hard shell, and I won’t let people get too close. I might start to like them, and then they will let me down, and I will be the one who gets hurt. I’m a real romantic inside, but no one has ever seen that side of me, and they probably never will. But then I met this boy. This amazing boy. He taught me things about myself. But the most important thing he taught was:
He taught me how to love.
Chapter 1. (Colleen POV)
Oh geez. Another day at school. Another wasted day. I wish I could get away from everything, just a few weeks, trying out something new. I’m a smart person. I shouldn’t be wasting my time here. I should be doing something big. Well whatever. Who cares about me anyway?
“Hi girlfriend!” Bonnie was running towards me, with her heavy backpack, in her hand.
“Hey Bonnie! I’ve missed you. Too bad we couldn’t get together in the weekend”
“I know, right? But hey, it’s a new day at school. Wait, we hate school. Don’t we?”
“Well I do. We are too smart for this school, you know. We should be doing something big. Not just sitting in class, listening to stuff we already know.”
She looked amazed at me.
“Please don’t start one of your speeches Col, I think I’ve heard them all.”
She laughed, and I couldn’t help but laugh too. The bell rang, so we headed for English class. I couldn’t help but notice that Mrs. Tandy was watching us with a secretive smile. She’s kind of weird, so I didn’t give a second thought. We stopped at my locker, to get my things, and then we walked into class.
“Weirdoes’ in the house” Todd yelled. He’s seriously the biggest jerk at our school, so I just pulled a face at him, and sat down.
“Good morning kids. If you start to read page 45 to 67, I’ll be right back. I have to talk with Colleen and Bonnie. Please follow me girls.”
*CENSORED*. *CENSORED*. *CENSORED*. *CENSORED*. *CENSORED*.
“I didn’t do it!” was the first thing I said when had closed the door. Bonnie looked weird at me.
“This is not it Colleen.” Mrs. Tandy said.
“This is about you and Bonnie. I know you’re both doing very well in my class. Probably to well I think. I’m not saying that you cheat or anything, but I know that this class is boring you. Am I right girls?” She looked at us.
“Well. You’re right.” Bonnie said after an awkward silence.
“I know some students who need help. They have been homeschooled, and I promised them tutors, even though they said they didn’t need it. But they do. Trust me.”
“Who are they?” I said carefully.
“I don’t know if you’re familiar with them. It’s Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, and Kevin Jonas.” I looked at her with an open mouth.
“You’ve got to be kidding us.” Bonnie almost yelled. She was as amazed as I was.
You would probably think: Oh the Jonas Brothers! That’s so cool! But it’s not.
Bonnie and I hate them.
