Chapter 2
Katie's POV
This person texting me could not be Nick Jonas. "Is this really Nick Jonas?" I texted back. Amanda stared at me in awe. "Is it really him?" Asked my mom. "I dunno..." I replied and my phone went off again. "Decide for yourself." It said, just as I read that, my phone started ringing. The phone number was the same one I got the texts from. 'Is it him?!" Asked Amanda. I nodded. "Should I answer?" I asked. "Yes you dummy!" Shouted Amanda and pressed the talk button for me. I raised my shaking hand with my phone in it up to my ear. "Hello?" I said. "Hi." Came a voice on the other line. This was definitley Nick Jonas. I put my hand over the speaker and screamed. "Sorry, hi." I said. "Hi." He said. "This is the girl with the brownish blondish hair in the front row right? The one who kind of fell and the one who threw me her number?" "Y-yes." I said. "Awesome." He said. "You're really hot." I blurted. He laughed and said "Thanks, you're really pretty." I was speechless. Did Nick Jonas just say I was really pretty?! "Thank you" I said in awe. "You're welcome." He said. "So, we aren't heading out of Minneapolis until Friday, I was just wondering....do you wanna go to dinner or something?" Nick asked. "Excuse me." I said. 'OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I screamed. "Sorry, I'm back." I said. "So, do you wanna?" He asked. "Um when?" I asked. Ugh, why didn't I just say yes?! My mouth seems to have a mind of it's own. "Um, how about tomorrow night?" He said. "Sure!" I said. "Cool, I'll pick you up around seven?" He asked. "Okay, cool!" I said. "Sweet, I'll see you tomorrow." He said. "Okay, bye." I said. "Bye." I pressed the end button. Just now I realized we were stopped on the side of the road. "Ummm, was I really screaming that loud?" I asked. My dad laughed. "Yes you were." "What was the screaming all about?" My mom asked. "Nicholas Jerry Jonas asked me out!" I yelled. "OH MY GOSH!!!" Yelled Amanda and hugged me. "Who said we were going to let you go?" Said my dad. "What?" I asked in a small voice. "I'm just kidding." He said. "Oh my gosh thank you." I said, feeling relieved. We pulled back onto the road. "Amanda, you're coming home on the bus with me tomorrow, so is Melanie." "Of course!" She said. "Okay, you'll need to help me get ready so bring all of your makeup over." "Kay." She said. I texted Melanie. She texted back. "OH MY GOSH!" She said. "Yup, so you're coming over and helping me get ready." I texted back. "Of course!" She said. "Kay, details tomorrow." I texted back. "Kay, bye." She said. We pulled up to Amanda's house. "Remember, bus ride home with me tomorrow." I said as I hugged her. "Yup, thanks for taking me to the concert." "You're welcome." I said. We watched her walk up to her house and pulled out of her dirveway. "So how excited are you?" Asked my mom. "MAJORLY!!!!" I said. My parents laughed. I got in the house, ran into my room and screamed at the top of my lungs. I looked at all of my Nick posters and sighed. I got changed into my pajamas and crawled into my bed. I was so excited! "When I grow up, I wanna be famous, I wanna be a star." Sang my alarm. I groaned and hit the snooze button, but then I realized that tonight I had a date with Nick Jonas. I threw off my covers and ran to the bathroom to take a shower. I got ready and headed to my bus. I sat down next to my best guy friend, Joey. "Hey." I said. "Heyy." He replied. Just then my phone vibrated. I flipped it open. It was from Nick. I smiled "Hey, what's up?" Said the text. 'Going to school." I texted back. "Okay who is he?" Asked Joey. "Nick Jonas." I replied grinning. "Mhm, yeah right." He said. "It is! I'm going out with him tonight." "Yeah okay.." He said. I called Nick. "Talk to my bff, he doesn't believe I know you." "Okay." Nick said. I handed the phone to Joey. He talked for him a bit, he was in shock. I stuck my tounge out at him and said "Told you so." He handed my phone back.
Me: Okay, hi.
Nick: Hey, you excited for tonight?
Me: Of course!!!!
Nick: Good, we're going somewhere semi-formal, so you don't have to like wear a dress.
Me: Hahaha, okay. Oops, I'm at school so I gotta go.
Nick: Okay, see you later.
Me: Yup see yah.
I hung up and got off the bus. I was walking on air. I ran up to Amanda and Melanie. "You excited?" They asked. "No, not really...OF COURSE I AM!!!!!!" They laughed. I could barely concentrate through my classes but mangaged to make it through the day. Me, Amanda and Melanie walked to my bus with Joey. We got on my bus and we all chatted excitedly. We got to Joey's stop. "Don't have too much fun tonight Katie." He said. "Yeah...okay." I said and waved. He laughed and waved. We got to my house and started working on my wardrobe. "He said it was semi-formal." "Okay." Said Mellie. "This sweater is perfect." Said Amanda. "And so are these jeans." Said Mellie. I put them on. "You guys are right, I look good in these!" They laughed. "Now, hair." Said Amanda. They flatironed my normally wavy hair. "Perfect!" I said. Now makeup. They put on black eyeliner, black mascara, a little blush and a little eye liner then some soft pink lipgloss. "You look amazing!" Said Amanda. "I agree." Said Mellie. I looked at myself in the mirror. "You guys did a great job!" I said. "Thank you." They said and bowed. I looked at the clock. 6:55. "He's going to be here any minute!" As soon as the words left my mouth, the doorbell rang. My heart fluttered. "Have fun!" They said. "I will." I said and smiled. I put on my winter jacket and walked to my doorway and opened the door.
