Chapter 1
Amber’s POV
It was absolutely great. Nick was looking at me with his beautiful brown eyes, his curly brown hair falling on my face, and before I realized it, our lips were touching. I was filled with excitement as I realized that this was what I had been waiting for the past 2 years since I had fallen for Nick Jonas, before even knowing him. Then, my alarm clock went off.
Of course, it was too good to be true. I hit the snooze button to try and get more rest, but then my mother, her perky self, walked in and said, “Good morning sweetie! Oh, come on Amber! Our vacation to Florida won’t be that bad!”
I mumbled, “Yeah except the fact that I will be spending it with only my family and not with my friends.”
My mom sat down on my bed and replied, “It won’t be that bad! We’ll let you just roam off and do whatever you want!”
“Fine,” I mumbled.
“In the meantime,” she stated, “you have to get up and finish packing!” As horrible as it was, I was sort of glad to be able to get away from my hometown in New Orleans. Recently, I had just suffered an awful breakup with my ex, Jonathon. What happened was I had seen him kissing the main cheerleader, which, according to him, meant “nothing.” I don’t believe him at all. At least I can get away from it all for one week. Unfortunately, I realized that I did have to finish packing, so I got out of bed and first went to my computer to update my iPod. I had to have it have every one of the songs that the Jonas Brothers had ever sang for the ride to Florida. It was only three hours so I could survive.
At 3:00, my family had hit the road, and I was off in Jonas Brothers songland. I was listening to “Please Be Mine” (possibly the best Jonas song ever) when I drifted off to sleep. I dreamt once more of the curly haired cutie that I could not stop thinking about. I awoke with a start when my younger sister, Katie, who was 12, shook me awake. “Come on!” she said. “I reaaalllyyyy have to pee, and you’re the only one who will come with me!!”
“Who voted me to do this job?!?” I mumbled. “And where are you going to go to the bathroom?”
“The gas station!” she said. “HURRY!”
“Fine, I’m coming…” I said as she yanked on my arm and pulled me out of the car as I also grabbed a 20 dollar bill.
Katie ran inside and went straight to the bathroom. I walked through the aisles looking for a snack to buy when I saw the man of my dreams. I figured it was just a look alike, but then I saw the two other brothers walk towards Nick. I just stood there with my mouth wide open. I realized this when I heard Joe stifle a laugh and point quickly at me. Nick turned around, and it was hard not to let my mouth fall open once more.
