Chapter 1
Adriana and I were standing in line for the Jonas Brothers concert. I wasn’t really up for it, but she had convinced me at last. And I had nothing better to do. Well, I was actually invited to my grand ma’s birthday, but I knew that was going to be a bore. There were hundreds of screaming and crying girls in the line.
“Isn’t this exciting Tay?” She knew that I wasn’t a big fan, but didn’t want to ruin her night.
“Yeah, it’s awesome. I can’t wait to get inside. I started feeling a little bit anxious, but I pushed the feeling away and crossed my arms over my chest.
“Girl. I know you don’t want to be here, but please try to act like you want to. A lot of girls would’ve loved to have your ticket. You’re very lucky, you know?” She turned away, and looked at the entrance. The doors were open, and people started to run inside. I didn’t. I just walked. I should’ve run too. I couldn’t see Adriana anywhere, and I felt a little scared and disappointed. A concert wasn’t fun alone. I went outside but no one was there. Suddenly I heard the doors close. Two men were standing there.
“Hey! I got to go inside! My friend is in there. She needs me!”
“Can we see your ticket miss?” I checked in my pockets, my purse, and my jacket, but it wasn’t there. Then it hit me. Adriana was in position of it. Dang.
“My friend has it. Please! Let me go in!” I was pushing the door, and I was almost crying. How pathetic.
“You can’t go in without a ticket Miss. Please step away.” I gave up hope, and walked away. Poor Adie. She had been looking forward to this all week, and now I had abandoned her. Whatever I thought. I walked around outside for a little while, until I saw someone walking towards me. It was late and pretty dark, so I got scared, and I started to walk away.
“Hey. Wait up!” Now I was definitely scared. I didn’t stop, but kept on walking.
“Please stop. I’m not going to hurt you or anything!” I bet you won’t I thought. I still didn’t stop, and now I was running. Suddenly I felt someone grabbing my arm. It was dark, so I couldn’t see who it was, but it was definitely a boy, regarding to his low voice.
“What are you doing out here? Alone. It can be dangerous.” He sounded concerned, and finally I stopped. I tried to catch my breath.
“I was just… I mean…. I couldn’t.” I couldn’t say a whole sentence yet. I was too out of breath.
“Let us get you inside. It’s getting cold.” He took my hand, and we walked into some room. There was a sign on the door saying: ‘Jonas Brothers’
