How About Forever

Her eyes went wide when she realized something, despite being completely and totally in love with the baby of the group, his older brother was slowly drawing her attention, she never thought that this would happen.

“Ash?”

She snaps out of her trance and looks at the two girls standing in line with her. Stephani is texting someone on her phone, a smile breaking out onto her face every time her phone vibrates. And Crystal is looking at Ashley a small frown on her face. The three girls had met only once before, just a few weeks after Stephani’s eighteenth birthday, and that was when they made the pact to meet the three boys.

Stephani had changed the most since then, her once almost black hair a light brown shade with almost white blond bangs and a white blond underlayer and her glasses were replaced by an almost golden shade of contacts, a lot lighter than her natural eyes.

Crystal was the least changed, her hair staying it’s original color, an auburn brown, and her blue, green and brown eyes hidden behind her glasses. The main difference was the confidence that was clear on her face.

Ashley had changed a bit, her hair was chopped shorter and she wore a constant smile. Her almost white eyes were still behind glasses.

But one thing that wouldn’t change the girls friendship, well hopefully that wouldn’t change.

“Ash what’s up?”

Crystal’s words cause Ashley to swallow this was wrong, so very wrong. She had to tell someone but not Crystal, oh! Stephani!

“Nothing.”

Ashley’s eyes turn to her phone and she quickly sends a text message to Stephani who was still playing on her own cell phone.
S.O.S. I Like JOE!

After a few seconds of silence there is a gasp and fingers fly quickly over keys.
Crystal is gonna murder you.

And then her fingers fly more as Ashley watched the younger girl type, da.mn her and her cool flip phone with a full keyboard da.mn her indeed. But neither Crystal or Ashley get a message from the younger girl, in fact the only person in the room who even bothers to look at their phone is Kevin Jonas. But there was no way that Kevin Jonas was texting the girl was there? A second later Stephani receives a text back and a smile forms on her face.

Soon they are the only ones left and Kevin looks at their huge body guard a smile on his face.

“Big Rob!”

“Yea Kev?”

“I want you to meet someone, in fact Joe Nick I want you to meet her too.”

Five people in the room look extremely confused, Kevin and Stephani being the only two in the loop. He walks around the little table they were sitting at and wraps his arms tightly around Stephani, before giving her a soft kiss.

“Steph?”

The youngest girl in the group blushes her tan cheeks turning darker and she looks shyly at the boy who was a good three years older than her.

“Guys this is Stephani, my girlfriend.”

“Girls this is my boyfriend Kevin.”

“Your dating?”

Crystal and Ashley basically scream the words and Stephani blushes deeply again.

“Yea. Four months.”

“Four months! You’ve been keeping her from us for FOUR months!”

This time it’s Nick and Joe who scream the words, Kevin just laughs still holding Stephani in his grip.

“Yea I knew if you met her sooner you’d ruin her.”

“She can’t be any worse than when she is with Ashley.”

Ashley and Stephani both turn and glare at Crystal who lets out a small laugh.

“Why do you say that?”

Right then a cute little boy around the age of eight walks in and Stephani’s eyes grow wide. Her hands start to twitch and Crystal and Ashley both let out little laughs.

“If you don’t want Frankie hugged to death I suggest you remove him from the room.”

“Huh?”

“Actually it would probably be best if you too him and Nick Crystal.”

“Why would I take Nick? YOU LIKE JOE!”

Stephani starts to laugh as Crystal glares at Ashley and Ashley flushes dark red.

“Well…”

“Crystal just take Garbo and get over it.”

“Garbo?”

Crystal’s eyes grow wide and she willingly leads Nick and Frankie off in search of the sexy bass player.

Ashley and Joe look at one another slowly and when they catch the other looking both look away and blush. As the night progresses they slowly become more comfortable together. And when they leave the arena, to go hang out at a local favorite, Dave’s Diner, Joe has his fingers laced through Ashley’s smiling widely.

“I told you they would like each other.”

“I guess I owe you something.”

Stephani smiles up at Kevin, they had made a bet over Ashley and Joe ending up together even though Ashley was ‘in love’ with Nick.

“How about forever.”

“I think I can work that out.”

And he kept his promise, marrying Stephani two years later, Crystal and Garbo ended up together after being friends for years. And one quiet evening while watching the sunset Joe made his forever with Ashley.

“Do you love me Joe?”

“I do.”

“Do you love me Ashley?”

“I do.”

“Will you love me forever.”

He pulled the ring from his pocket and with a little smile Ashley leaned in.

“How about forever, and ever.”
