Welcome to my newest Fan Fiction… It’s called “See Right Through Me”, and it is a sorta-kinda sequel to my fic “Love is Blind”… It is the same story, only told through Joe’s POV instead of Lee, his love interest. You can read this one first if you want, or delve into “love is Blind” first… read one; read them both; the possibilities are endless. If you read “Love is Blind” don’t worry, I won’t be too repetitive with this and I will try and make it as interesting as possible. I sincerely hope that you enjoy this story as much as I enjoy writing it. Thanks for reading & comments make me smile :)

See Right Through Me. Chapter 1.
“I see a little silhouetto of a man, Scaramouche, Scaramouche will you do the Fandango- Thunderbolts and lightning- very very frightening me!” I sang along feverishly as Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” blared through the car speakers. I thrashed my head to the music as I tapped the steering wheel with my two index fingers. Thank god it was just passed midnight, so no other cars were on the freeway… because I was swerving like crazy.
“Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me…for me…FOR ME!!!” Suddenly I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I muttered annoyed sentiments and turned down the stereo, attempting to say in my lane while fishing out my phone.
I flipped it open, not bothering to check the caller ID “Whoever this is, I eternally hate you…” I said putting the phone between my ear and my shoulder.
“Nice to talk to you to.” Kevin replied sarcastically.
“Dude, you totally made me miss the best part of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’,” I accused.
“You’ll live.” He muttered. “And besides, shouldn’t you be here in LA… like, now?”
“I already explained this to Dad..” I sighed “I missed the first filght, because I went to the wrong airport, so now I have to drive to this other airport that’s like, 2 hours away,”
“Wow Joseph, that’s a new level of stupid… even for you.” Kevin said, audibly supressing a laugh.
“Shut up” I snapped, due to my lack of comebacks.
“So did Liz have a good birthday?” Kevin asked.
“Yeah, she misses all of us, Mom & Dad too” I said, talking about our family friend, “But she was glad I came… Ha ha one of Liz’s friends kept accidentally bumping into me and each time she would say ‘Oops, sorry hotstuff’ and wink … she was so obvious, it was great!”
“Just so you know, I’m rolling my eyes at you.” Kevin said flatly.
“Now Kevin, Jealousy isn’t pretty” I teased.
“Oh shut it. Now you better make this flight, because tomorrow we have some meeting-type-gathering with the label execs about the new album release,”.
“I know, I know… Dad already gave me the ‘We are meeting with some very important people; we need to make a good impression’ speech” I sighed and loosened my grip on the steering wheel, quickly glancing at the dash. The little arrow was much closer to the E than I felt comfortable with. “Oh crap I need to get gas” I sighed. “I’ll talk to you later Kev” He muttered a quick goodbye before I snapped the phone shut, and turned off the nearest exit.
I drove another mile before I reached a small little town. The dim street lights guided me down an empty road, no cars or people in sight. The lights were off in every store & every house, The only sign of life is the soft russeling of the trees outside in the wind. If I wasn’t so creeped out, it might have been kind of peaceful.
In the distance I could see a bright red sign. I squinted my eyes and could barely make out the words “Twenty-Four Hour... something”. I sped towards it, hoping they could give me directions to the nearest open gas station.
I parked the rental SUV infront of what looked like a grocery store. I put my phone in the glove compartment & rolled up the windows, then shook out my arms & legs as I stepped out. “I have to pee” I muttered to myself. I decided to skip the hat & sunglasses I usually opt for when in public, assuming that I wouldn’t get mobbed in a small town grocery store at midnight.
I walked through the doors of the store, a bell ringing above my head & I squinted at the bright flourecent lighting. I walked in, and immediately spotted a kid wearing a red apron, unloading tin cans on to a shelf. I approached him, and tapped him on the shoulder.
The kid screamed & turned around quickly with his fists up & ready. He looked no older than 13. I raised my hands in surrender position, “Woah there little guy”
“Sorry” his freckled face blushed in embarassment “Can I help you sir?”
“Um yeah? Can I use your bathroom?” I asked, deciding I would ask for directions from someone around here who was out of middle school.
“I…Um… I guess so, It’s through the back doors, to your left” he said.
“Thanks” I replied. I walked past the kid and followed his directions through a pair of heavy steel doors and into the warehouse.
