Hey! This is my first fan fic. I'm not that good of a writer or anything but all of a sudden I got inspiration.  Some of this is from personal experience so I apoligize if something dosen't make sense. Please tell me if that's so. Feel free to comment, good or bad. Believe me. I'll need it. Enjoy!

Chapter 1

I’m hot
You’re cold
You go around
Like you know

    Joanna had heard this song for at least the twentieth time since she got to Bethel Woods.  She laughed a little when she noticed herself singing along softly. Unlike many of the young girls that had come that day, Joanna wasn’t crazy about the Jonas Brothers. She was mainly there for her best friend Brittany. Brittany was a slender beauty  who was an OJD fan. She had studied every fact about the three brothers. She was over ecstatic about her meet and greet that she won off a radio station. Like a good friend, Joanna sang along with the songs, listened to Brittany talk all about them, and even tried to share in her excitement. Yet Joanna was bewildered by her affinity for these boys. They were regular high school boys. What was really so special about them? All you have to do is walk into any high school in America and there are plenty walking around.

    “Oh my God Brittany! You’re gonna meet them! Whoot!”  Joanna tries to be enthusiastic as possible. “Whoot!” Brittany replies obediently. “A Little bit longer, and you’ll meet Nick!” Joanna jokes as she walks Brittany to the meet and greet line. Joanna always teased Brittany about liking Nick Jonas. Brittany laugh at her attempt to sing. Joanna smiled in reply. She always liked to make people happy, especial Brittany. Soon, Joanna was escorted off the line with the absence of a meet and greet wristband. Trying to dodge everyone to get to her seat, Joanna eventually sits in her seat next to Brittany’s mom five rows from the stage. While waiting for Demi Lovato to perform, all Joanna could do was cover her ears. How in the world children could scream this loud was beyond her. Not that she didn’t love children. On the contrary, Joanna loved kids and was always babysitting. All her kids were jealous when she said she was going to the concert.  Starting to get a head ache, Joanna yelled over to Brittany’s mom if she could have a pair of ear plugs, just in case.

    Sitting in her seat, Joanna looked up at the Verizon text messages.
Nick marry me <3
Why would you want to marry someone you don’t even know? Joanna asks herself as she covers her ears. She looked over at the meet and greet line that had barely moved an inch since she left. Suddenly, the screaming got louder. As Joanna covered here ears again, five band members and a young teenager run across the stage.  She was beautiful. Joanna had recognized her from that movie Camp Rock. She had gone over Brittany’s House to see the premiere a few months before. She has a beautiful voice, Joanna told herself as she covered her ears again. This screaming is something she wouldn’t get use to.

    Finally the screaming died down as Demi sang her song Forget. Joanna concentrated hard on the lyrics. For every song she had ever heard, Joanna believed that it had a purpose in her life. As she listened closely to the lyrics and Demi’s facial expressions, she realized that the concert wasn’t going to be as bad as she thought it was going to be.

We were just about to fall
Even more in love

    Before she could believe it, Demi finished singing and again the screaming continued. Unfortunately, Brittany missed Demi sing. She was too busy meeting her idols. “Let me see the picture!” Joanna ordered just as Brittany sat down next to her. Brittany handed her the camera, four figures on the screen. Joanna looked closely  at the boys who surrounded her best friend. Not bad looking, Joanna said to herself. Though she didn’t quite understand what was so special about thses guys, she screamed in excitement for her friend. Her own scream was quickly followed by the screams of teenaged and young girls. This time, both Joanna and Brittany covered their ears with harmed expressions. Joanna quickly took out her camera just in time for the boys to come on stage. She turned on her camera just in time for Kevin to give his side of the stage a big smile. Joanna had to admit he looked cuter in person than any picture Brittany had ever shown her. Just as she took a few shots of Kevin, Joe quickly came over singing the chorus of S.O.S. He, too, was cuter in person, Joanna told herself. Still that wasn’t what Joanna was impressed by. They had such a love for what they do and a love for there fans. Joanna smiled to herself and looked up to see Kevin looking at her. She couldn’t help but be a little nervous.

    Song after song, Joanna started to enjoy herself a little more. Brittany noticed this too. Eventually, the two girls were jumping up and down, enjoying every moment. Joanna did her best to try to remember what she knew of their lyrics. Suddenly, much to Joanna’s surprise, Nick slowed everything down. On the big screen, Joanna noticed a scene from Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream. Nick talked about his struggle with Diabetes. She knew he had Diabetes. Brittany had the dog tag and everything. After the clip, Nick started to sing his song A Little Bit Longer:

Got the news today
Doctor says to stay

    These words hurt a little as Joanna listened intently. This is something she always told herself and others when they wanted advice. She pushed her hurt aside as she listened to Nick sing.

    Nick continues to play as he says “If you’re going through a hard time and you don’t know what to do, don’t give up. Things are not so bad. They will get better.” At this, Joanna freezes. She lowers her camera with tears in her eyes. This is another piece of advice she’s always given. Yet hearing them herself, they had different meaning. Though she did not have diabetes, she was going through pain. She needed those words.

Chapter 2

Flashback to a week before

    “Hey you!” Matt’s voice could be heard booming through the phone. “Hey,” Joanna wanted to sound happy, but she knew the truth. Matt no longer made her feel good about herself. She always remembered when she feel in love with him. He was everything she could dream of. He was handsome, smart, helpful, and most of all innocent. Unlike most high schoolers, Joanna was innocent and was staying pure till marriage. She was often the center of many jokes since she wasn’t as “experienced” as everyone else. Yet Matt made her feel like she wasn’t alone. He accepted her morals and values from the start. He was perfect and quite the romantic. She thought she was in love.

    “Wanna hang out today?” He asked in a happy tone. Suddenly Joanna felt sick to her stomach. Though they’ve been dating five months, she should feel like this. After Matt’s act ended, she found out who the true Matt was. He really wanted to just have sex with her. She was heart broken when she found out. She knew what he tried to do whenever they hung out. “Uh, sure,” Joanna answers hesitantly. She loved him and just wanted to make him happy. She never had sex with him but he always made her feel guilty, like she didn’t want to make him happy. But what really made him happy, she couldn’t give him. I t brought her so much pain. Later she showed up at his house with the uneasiness of her mother. She knew what he wanted from her daughter. Yet how could she deny her daughter something that made her happy?

    Breathing nervously, she headed towards the house. He answered the door, smile on his face as he brought her to his room. She hated his room. He asked her what she wanted to do. In her mind, she wanted what she always wanted, just to spend time as a couple, like everyone else. But deep down, she knew he didn’t want that nor did he really care that she did. “I don’t know,” she answered, sadness in her voice that went unnoticed by her lover. “Come on. There must be something. Cause you know what I want to do,” he utters as he starts to make out with her. She hated this. He knew how uncomfortable this made her yet he did it anyway. He started to push her on top of the bed and asks her to take her shirt off. “Stop Matt!” She couldn’t take this anymore. He hurt her enough. “What?” Matt questions. He knows what she’s going to say. “Matt, this is not me,” she says in a hurt tone. “I know. But this is me,” was his response. He knew he could guilt her into anything. After a few moments of silence and pain, Joanna spoke out. “How come you asked me out if you knew who I am from the beginning?” She felt like she was deceived when she found out that he was putting on the innocent act. Like buying something from a toy shop and later finding out it was broken.

    Matt was shocked by her question. Why did he go out with her? After a few minutes, he answered, “I thought I could change you. I just wanted to get back into the dating scene.” With this, Joanna felt hot tears running down her cheeks. How could he want to change her?  She loved him exactly the way he was since the beginning. “Are you guys doing ok?” Matt’s mother asked as she walk into the room. Joanna quickly wiped her tears away and tried to look natural. She loved his mother. She always treated Joanna like part of the family. “We’re fine,” Joanna lied through her teeth. Deep down inside, she was crushed. Not only was her heart broken, she felt alone.

Chapter 3

I’ll be fine

    Nick song had ended just as Joanna realized she was crying during the middle of a concert. She wiped her tears away as she clapped for Nick. His song was moving. She understood exactly what he was saying. She looked over at Brittany with a smile on her face. It made her feel so good that her best friend got what she wanted for her birthday. A Jonas Brothers convert and a meet and greet with her favorite band.  Brittany smiled back as the two jumped up and down to the next song. She looked up at the three brothers and noticed the three brothers were different. She realized that she started to like the Jonas Brothers, not because they were hot or famous or whatever. She liked them because they were really people. Joanna always was able to figure out people for the most part. She realized very young that everyone goes through pain and everyone has a story. She knew the Jonas Brothers had a story, but they seemed different. Like they were on the same page as she was.

    Throughout the night, Joanna snapped picture of the three boys like crazy.  Someone on myspace will appreciate them, Joanna thought to herself. Before she knew it, the concert was over and everyone was filing out. Brittany looked just about as exhausted as she was. The two girls walked out talking about the entire experience. “Did you see when Joe was almost attacked by someone’s birdhouse?” Brittany asked. “What?!?” Joanna asked surprised. She had missed that. “Well at least someone finally made Kevin his birdhouse,” Joanna exclaims as the two girls start to laugh. They finally get in the car  As they drove home, Joanna couldn’t help but think about the day. Although she wasn’t a huge fan, she enjoyed every song. Most of all, she enjoyed the fact that her best friend had a wonderful time. That was most important to her. “Mom, could you put in the Jonas Brothers CD, please?” Brittany asked as her mother turned on the radio. Put on random, Shelf blast through the speakers.

She such a  flirt

“Hey Brittany! I took a good shot of your lover boy!” Joanna said, eyes still on her digital camera. “Let me see!” Brittany exclaims as Joanna hands her the camera. It was a shot of Nick on the big screen. “Can I look through her the rest of your pictures?” Brittany asks softly. “Sure,” Joanna said with a short chuckle. Brittany was always hesitant when asking for something. As Brittany looked through the pictures, Joanna pushed her seat back. It was 1 am and she was getting tired. Before closing her eyes, she smiled.
