One Shot For Spencer
Title: I'd Lie
It's sort of vaguely based off of the Taylor Swift song I'd Lie. In the story I make it so Spencer actually is the writer and singer of the song, not Taylor Swift. Spence, I know you didn't list this as a favorite song...but I thought it kinda fit. So I used it. Hope thats okay! And this is a fic about Spence being good friends with Joe, but she's in love with Kev, and Kevin is in love with her. Read to find out what happens. =] Most of the story is from Kevin's point of view. The beginning is just kind of a neutral point of view. Comments are always appreciated!
Spencer was sitting on the Jonas Brothers front porch with a guitar in hand messing around with some chords. She had just finished writing the lyrics and was almost done with putting the music to the lyrics when her best friend Joe came up to her. "Hey Spencer! I'M BORED! Let's do something fun!" She laughed a little to myself. He looked so funny. He was the best friend a girl could ask for but right now she really wanted to finish this song "Sorry Joe, I want to finish this song first" He sighed. "Spencer Spencer Spencer" he said "I write music all day with my brothers. It's a day off. COME HAVE FUN WITH ME!" She laughed again "JOE I'M WORKING ON THIS" He did something he knew would get her off the porch. He got the garden hose and started spraying her with the cold water. She screamed. "JOSPEPH ADAM JONAS! YOU BETTER RUN BECAUSE I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" He started running through the backyard and she followed close behind. After about 15 minutes of chasing him he spoke up as they were both still runnning "Spencer you'll never catch me. Just give up!" She spoke up "THAT's WHAT YOU THINK" she thought for a moment and yelled "KEVIN! HELP ME PLEASE! HURRY UP!!!" About a second later you could hear Kevin running through the house anxious to get outside to see why Spence was yelling.
KEVS POV
I ran outside as fast as I could thinking Spence was in trouble or something. When I saw she looked okay I relaxed a little. I know it's ridiculous but yes I am in love with my brother's besf friend. I don't know how it happened I just fell for her, and I fell hard. "Hey Spence, don't scare me like that. I thought something was wrong!" I immediately regretted those words. "YOU THOUGHT CORRECTLY! Look at me!" I then took the rime to really look at her. She was drenched from head to toe. I started to laugh but then stopped as soon as I saw the way she looked at me. "Ummm well what happened to you?" She spoke up angrily "What happened to me!? THAT HAPPENED TO ME!" she said pointing to Joe who was dancing around the yard still mocking Spence. Luckily I knew what she wanted me to do. Joe was standing right by the pool. I picked up a football and threw it at Joe when he wasn't looking. He stumbled backwards and fell right into the pool. She fell onto the ground laughing. When she finally stopped laughing she said "Kev. Your awesome. Thank you. That'll show him not to mess with us!" She started laughing again and I couldn't help but smile. Her laugh was so cute and she looked beauitful, even though she was still soaking wet. She got up and hugged me tightly and then looked right into my eyes. I stared back into her gorgeous blue eyes. I was about to say something when she said something I never expected to hear "You see Kev, that's why I love you." WOAH THERE! What did she just say? She loves me? Probably like a brother right? She couldn't love me love me. I mean she's Joe's best friend! I must've looked shocked because she spoke up quickly "I MEAN thank you for knocking Joe into the pool! It was... uh..very nice of you. So thanks.!" She was nervous I could tell. I grabbed her arm as she tried to walk away. "Do you really love me Spence" I said hopefully. She took a few seconds "Yes Kevin. I really do love you." I pulled her in for a kiss, and it was perfect. At that moment I knew we were supposed to be together. We were so into the kiss we almost forgot about Joe. "YEAH GUYS! IT'S OKAY!! Just make out. I don't need any help or anything!" he said sarcastically. He got out of the pool, but we knew he was happy we were finally together. I think him and Nick were trying to get us together for a while. We both looked at him and bursted out laughing "Wet is a good look for you Joe! she yelled at him. I looked into her blue eyes again and I pushed some of her blonde hair out of her face. "I love you too Spence. Always have and always will" She pulled me into a kiss this time, but I pulled away after a few seconds. "Now that we are together, I want to hear that song you have been working on." She spoke up quickly "Kev you know I don't let people hear my songs." I scoffed and pretended to be hurt "Not even your new boyfriend!?" She laughed and brushed the hair out of her face. "FINE KEV! I'll play it for you, but I wrote this song about you. Just a head's up." she said nervously. She grabbed her guitar and started strumming. A few seconds later she started to sing.

I don't understand how I possibly could've found a more perfect girl. She wrote me a song. That's the nicest thing a girl has ever done for me. I continued to listen to her sweet voice start singing the chorus.

This song really was about me. She payed attention to all the small details about me like my favorite color an my birthday [okay everyone i know his bday really isnt the 17th but it was the only part that didnt fit] And she had been hiding her feeling all this time. The truth is, it was almost as if I'd written this song myself. I kept listening to her sing.
He looks around the room

She started strumming flawlessly again and got really into the song as she entered the bridge.
He stands there then walks away

I was in awe as she finished strumming and got the courage to look me in the eyes after she had finished. I said the only thing I could think to say at that time "I love you Spencer and no one has ever written a song about me before" I said in amazment. "Thank you. The song was beautiful" We leaned in for anoher kiss and knew that we would be together forever,
