Meet Me in Hollywood

Chapter 1
Nick and I were sitting on the bus on our way home from the last day of school! Summer was finally here! I hate six grade! “Do you want to come over?” Nick asked while he was playing his game boy, “Me and my brothers are having a party and camping in the backyard, for the end of the school year!”
I looked outside the window and smiled, “Of course!” The bus came to a halt in front of the Joneses house. We grabbed our guitar cases and book bags and I followed Nick off the bus to his front steps. I took off my sneakers as we walked through the door way.
Mrs. Jonas was standing in the hall way dusting, “Hello Ricky!” She smiled, “Our you going to join the boys with their little party?”
“Yep, I can’t wait!” I put my book bag next to the show racks, “Do you want me to order pizza?” I slipped my hands into my pocket and pulled out money. I started to count the money, “Twenty Dollars!” I looked up to Mrs. Jonas.
“No, its fine!” she placed the duster on the table in the hall, “I’ve got it! Guest shouldn’t pay!” She grabbed the phone and started to click in numbers, “Why don’t you guys go upstairs till the pizza comes?”
Nick nodded and we ran up the stairs with our guitar cases, “Why don’t we make a song or something?” Nick asked me placing the cases on the bed. We love to make music! Nick and I both had the dream to sing on stage when we grow up.
“Sure!” I agreed taking my guitar out of the case. Nick did the same. I started to play random notes using one of his guitar picks in his jewelry box, that he used for his picks and not necklaces and rings, including his purity ring.
“Maybe I can write lyrics and you can make the music?” Nick decided grabbing a note book that said written in sharpie, Lyrics!
“Awesome!” I started to play notes and finally came up with a rhythm. I played it for Nick and he nodded while he started to write on the lyrics. After about five minutes we have made a song.
“Here lets record it on my computer!” Nick started to type on the computer and pulled out a microphone! He click on record and we started to play our guitars and sing to the rhythm.
“I closed my eyes, and I took a breath!” I played the record while Nick sang. Then he would play while I would sing. After about thirty minutes the pizza came and we finished.
I ran down the stairs with Nick to grab the popcorn, pizza and soda. Then we ran back up stairs to Joe’s room! He had balloons, favors up, music playing, DDR and Karaoke set up. We were going to party like animals. I can’t believe school was over!
“Hey Ricky!” Joe and Kevin hugged me and I turned into a smashed up sandwich. They treated me like their little sister. Frankie and Nick started to join the hug.
“Okay, enough hugging and lets start to party!” I said out of breath from the squeezing going on in the room. Nick asked me if I would like Sprit or Coke.
“Coke, of course!” I smiled while I stepped on an arrow on the mat to start the DDR game. Sexy Back started to play and I danced to the arrows that came up on the screen.
“Okay!” Nick poured the soda into a huge cup. Nick gets a little too out of hand when it comes to getting hyper at a party. Especially if it has diet coke and sugar free red bull.
I danced the last couple of steps and Nick handed me the drink, “Oh! Pone! I just got high score on hard!” I smiled and started to run around the room. Joe looked pissed considering I was playing against him and he got a 20 out of a hundred.
“So do you want to prank call someone?” Kevin asked picking up the phone! He has a whole entire address book full of all the people that are rude and dumb to him and his brothers.
“Can we prank call that girl that took my crayon box a week ago?” Frankie smiled in an evil way. He looked like Joe on Halloween when he dressed as a dragon slayer.
“Yes!” Nick grabbed the phone and address book, “We can say that it’s the crayon man coming to take her away!” Nick smiled while he dialed the number.
Someone answered the phone, “Hello, who is this?” a women asked.
Nick looked up he froze. I took the phone from him and in a old, guy’s voice I said, “Sorry Mum, this was the wrong number, I meant to call the crayon academy! Some little girl took my son’s crayons!”
The women hung up and I took a huge gasp, “Your bad at one thing Nick, lying!” I joked with him. He sipped his diet coke and took a microphone to sing karaoke.
“Do you want to sing with me?” Nick asked. I smiled and gently took the other microphone out of his hand. “Which song?” Nick yelled into the microphone.
“How about Crocodile Rock?” I looked up to Nick, wondering if he actually knows the song.
“Sure!” He took the remote and clicked on Crocodile Rock. The music started and I randomly ran around the room and started to sing the song. Nick did the same.
After the song, food, music, dancing, laughing and prank calls we got into our pajamas and started to set up the tent in the backyard. Mrs. Jonas came out, “Ricky, I called your mom! She said its okay for you to do the little camping thing!” I nodded and smiled.
Frankie went inside to get his sleeping bag and blanket his grandmother made for him. While Kevin and Joe tried to start a fire, Nick and I were swinging on the swings. Once Kevin finally pone Joe by making the fire light. We put our sleeping bags into the tent.
I was in between Frankie and Nick, while Joe and Kevin were on the sides. We all slipped into our sleeping bags and started to whisper and tell scary stories.
Frankie told us the scariest story, “Once there was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich but she had no bread!” I don’t know how, but it made us laugh! I guess it was the way Frankie said it.
“Okay, its time for you guys to go to bed!” Mrs. Jonas peeked into the tent. She was in her pajamas too. Once she went away Joe started to fall asleep very easily.
“Whoa, Joe’s already asleep!” Kevin started to put whip cream on his hand and tickled his nose. “Ha-ha!” Kevin laughed. Joe slapped his nose and rolled over. His nose and face was covered with creamy goodness.
“Ha-ha!” I laughed with Nick and Frankie. Finally we all fell asleep but I was still up with Nick looking up at the stars. You could see the milky way and a bunch of galaxies. Its because we were in the country and miles away from any city or anything!
“Ricky, is singing on stage going to be your life when you grow up?” Nick asked me in a whisper. But I already fell asleep. So Nick just did so also. Slowly. Very Slowly.
