Here's Chapter 3. I know the first few chapters are boring but trust me...it gets better (no brags!!) x]
Chapter Three:
The next morning Kellie and Becca were eating breakfast.
“He actually texted you?!” Becca asked. Kellie nodded chewing on a mouthful of cereal.
“AWWW!!” Becca was obviously excited for her friend.
“What did he say?” Becca asked curiously.
“He asked if we wanted to hang with them today and I said yes, he said they would come at 12.” Kellie informed Becca.
“Ohh…It’s 11.” Becca said.
“OH MY GOD! WE HAVE TO GO GET READY!” Kellie dropped her spoon and grabbed Becca’s arm and dragged her upstairs.
They were ready and downstairs waiting within minutes of when Nick came to the front door to get them.
“Hey!” Kellie said opening the door.
“Hey.” Nick said. Kellie let her mom know where she was going and that she would be back for dinner. The three of them piled into the back of Kevin’s SUV while he was in the driver seat with Joe next to him in the passenger seat.
Kevin put the car in park and turned the engine off and everyone got out.
“Bowling!!!” Becca exclaimed as she saw the building in front of them.
“I’m guessing you like bowling?” Nick asked. Becca nodded and they all headed to the door.
About an hour later they were done with the game and had eaten lunch.
Back in the car everyone was talking and laughing about everything that had happened that day. Joe turned around in his seat to face the girls and Nick.
“We’re leaving in two days…” He said quietly.
“Aw! Really?” Becca asked. Nick nodded.
“We have a show tomorrow then we leave the next morning.” Kevin explained.
Kellie looked upset; she didn’t want them to go.
“You okay?” Joe asked putting his hand on Kellie’s knee.
“Yeah, I’m fine.” She said glumly.
“We’re upset too. It was so cool getting to hang with you guys. We’ll be sure to keep in touch” Kevin said.
“Same.” Becca responded.
Nick and Kevin waited in the car while Joe walked Kellie up to the front door of her house.
“Bye Joe.” Kellie said opening her front door.
“Bye.” He said watching her walk inside.
NOW! He thought to himself
“Wait.” He said just before the door was shut all the way.
“Yeah?” Kellie asked stepping outside again.
Joe took something from his pocket, took Kellie’s hand, and pressed the object into her palm. They stared into each other’s eyes for several seconds before Joe turned around and walked back to the car to join his brothers.
The next morning Kellie was getting dressed when she heard her phone buzzing.
Joe:
Hey u coming 2nite?
What’s tonight? She asked herself. She rewound the night in her head and remembered when Joe said good-bye. She dumped out her bag from the previous night.
BEEP BEEP
Joe:
U there??
Before Kellie could respond her phone rang.
“Hey” She said flipping it open and pressing it against her ear.
“Hey why didn’t you respond to my texts?” Joe asked.
“Ha ha, I’m sorry. I was looking for-“ Her mouth dropped and the only thing that came out was a scream.
“Kellie! Are you ok?” Her mom asked from downstairs.
“Yeah mom I’m fine!!” She yelled back.
“Oh my god, Joe!! Thank you! But, why?”
“Well, I…I mean the guys and I wanted to see you girls one last time before we had to leave.” Joe explained.
“Aww! Thanks, well I’ll see you guys later!” Kellie said
“Bye” Joe responded.
