Chapter Five (I'M BA-ACK!!!)
Nick and I walked quickly towards where I had lost my sisters, and we almost ran smack into them.
"Oh, God! Kylie!" Charlie exclaimed, hugging me tightly.
"Aaah! Charlie, lemme go! You just got me back and now you're going to squeeze me to death!" I told her, pushing her away.
"Ooops, sorry.... my emotions got the best of me." Charlie apologized.
Spencer looked at me, and then at Nick, a questioning look in her eyes. I looked into them and hoped she got the message.
"Oooohhh!" she said out loud. Nick looked at her funny. "Oh, uh, never mind." then she said, to Nick, "How'd you find her? She's always seeming to get herself into trouble, and I never expected anyone to ever actually find her."
Nick shrugged. "I kind of, er, ran into her."
I felt my face flush as Charlie shot me a wicked grin. "Really?" she asked him.
"Yup. But I only agreed to return her to you on one condition: that she would go on a date with me."
"Oh. My. God." Charlie and Spencer exclaimed together.
"Shut up," I growled between my teeth. Then I realized something. "Hey, Spence, where's your sunglasses?"
"Yeah, about that...." Charlie murmured embaressedly.
Suddenly an inconspicuous black car turned the corner and one of the windows rolled down.
"Nick, c'mon! Hurry up!" Kevin shouted from the open window.
"One sec!" Nick shouted back, then turned to me. "I'll call you Saturday and we'll figure out our date, alright? Here's my number." he handed me a thin white sheet of paper with numbers on it.
"Oh, hey!" a voice called from the car. It was Joe. "Hey, uh, you!" he pointed at Spencer. "Are these sunglasses yours? I found them in one of the stores I shopped at."
"Oh my god." she whispered, only loudn enough for me and Charlie to hear. "Uh, yeah, they are." she replied to him.
"Cool. I saw you wearing them and I thought you'd miss them." he said as Spencer walked up. He gave her the sunglasses. "I know I'd miss them if they were mine."
And then the window was rolled up and Nick had gotten into the car, Spencer standing dumbfounded on the sidewalk, holding her Ray-Bans in her hand.
HAHA!!! u better not have found a replacement kylie, or i will be sad.
