Everything, except the parts about the jonas brothers are true. I did have a golden named Scout, and I do currently have a chocolate lab. puppy named Holly. She is currently stilll in the emergency animal hospital because of the pills, so everything after that was mentioned is fiction.
Guardian Dog
-Scout’s POV-
It’s hard, leaving your best friend and family behind. I’m grateful though, that they cared so much about me. I was in pain, and they put themselves in pain, so I wouldn’t suffer anymore. Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t introduce myself yet. I’m Scout or was, I’m an eight year old golden retriever. If you’re wondering about the whole ‘was’ thing, I’m now in heaven. You see, I had cancer, and my family put me down so I wouldn’t have to go through any more pain. Now I watch them from above. I know Jenna knows that I do. I’m not sure about her brothers, even though, Alex, her oldest brother, thinks that it was his fault I had to be put down, but it wasn’t. I think it’s because when Holly, Jenna’s 2 year old chocolate Labrador puppy, got out onto the toll road, she was unharmed and brought back safely. I helped with that you know. It was me that was watching over Holly, making sure that someone nice picked her up and called her house. I was surprised when I saw Jenna wearing my old dog tag around her neck. Apparently she found it in the yard one day. Oh wow, I’m getting off track. As I was saying, I watched over my old family their entire life. I watched as Jenna and her parents took Holly and Riley to the emergency animal hospital because they got into pills that were toxic for them. I made sure that they made it through, so Jenna wouldn’t have to go through the pain of losing another dog. I know she still cries because of me, even though it’s been over a year. I watched as Jenna meet her idols, and became best friends with them, the Jonas Brothers, or something. I watched as Jenna finally turned 19, and watched as her parents sent her off the Academy of Art University. I watched as she starting dating the middle Jonas, and watched as they went through many fights, but always made sure they made up. I knew they were in love, anyone that was sane could see it. Every kiss and every hug was filled with sparks and love that only I could see. Even though I’m in doggy heaven, I can still cry dog tears. That’s what I did when Joe finally proposed to Jenna. It was magically! He took her to her favorite park, near her school, and where he had set up a picnic. After he took out his guitar and sang Hello Beautiful to her, before taking out a gorgeous diamond ring. Jenna was shocked at first, before throwing her arms around his neck and saying yes. The wedding was just as magically if not more. Jenna wore a dazzling white dress, with white heels. He wore a black tux, with a white tie to go with her dress. When they said their vows, I cried again, it was just so amazing. It’s been a few years since then, and they have a 2 year old puppy golden retriever named Scout, along with Holly. When I heard Jenna name the golden Scout, I cried once more. It was truly an honor to have another dog named after me. I think Jenna named the dog Scout so she could always have me with her, and she’s right. I haven’t left her side, and I never plan to.
It’s all because I’m her Guardian Dog.
