Prologue

I sat on Nick's bunk, my knees pulled to my chest and my arms wrapped around them, and cried.

You're probably sitting there wondering a few things. like, who is this Nick? Why is she on his bunk? Why is she crying?

For starters, Nick is Nick Jonas. Of infamous the Jonas Brothers.

I know, I know. Now you're probably wanting to know why I'm on Nick's bunk and if I actually know him. Well, no. I just wandered onto a bus, sat down on some random boy's bed and started crying. Just kidding.

No, I actually know them personally. Now some of you are probably thinking something like; she knows them personally? Who is this person? Is she dating one of them? and WHY IS SHE CRYING?!

My name is Sami Taylors. I'm eighteen, nineteen in December. And no. I am not dating a Jonas Brother. I'm sure that brought on a few sighs of relief, because as far as I can tell, there are plenty of people that love these boys. I don't blame you at all. They're nice, funny, sweet and pretty much perfect.

Now, I'm sure you still have a few questions. How does she know them? And WHY ON EARTH IS SHE CRYING?

When I was seven, I moved next door to the Jonas family. I became instant friends with the three oldest boys, who I spent the past eleven years of my life being incredibly close to. The Jonas family basically adopted me. My father left my mother and I, and my mom is always working to support us. And on top of that, she's not exactly the best mother. She had some.. questionable friends who brought... questionable drinks into our house. Not really the best environment for a seven year old girl to grow up in. So, I stuck around with the Jonas's. Sleepovers, play-dates, and when Frankie was born, babysitting. Eventually, the boys started touring. So, I was invited to join all the tours. And I even got my own bunk in a sectioned off room in the boys' bus. I loved it. Life on the road was hard, but it was a lot of fun with the boys.

But if it was so great, why am I crying? That's right, I didn't forget that question. But the answer to that is my story. Well, part of it, anyway. The story of how I fell in love with one of my absolute best friends, pop sensation and one of Tiger Beat's heart throbs, Joe Jonas.

I woke up, rolled over, and saw Joe lying there. Slightly awkward, but this had happened a lot. Joe would come over to my house early, see that I was still asleep, and accidentally crash. I yawned, mentally scanned what I was wearing (one of Nick's muscle shirts and pajama pants) and stood up. It was things like this that made me glad I stopped sleeping in short-shorts and a tank top. I looked down at Joe, who hadn't been woken up by my standing. I walked over to my closet, grabbed a pair of blue skinny jeans, a black tank top with blue lining and red buttons and a pair of black converse, and went to my bathroom. I took a shower, put on my clothes and yanked a brush through my hair. I brushed my teeth, put on some lip gloss and eye liner, and walked back into my room. Of course, Joe was still asleep. So, I pretty much skipped over to the bed, and sat on him. He groaned, and opened his eyes.

"Hello Beautiful." He mumbled, stretching his arms.

"Hi Danger-Joe!" I said, grinning. "It's time to get up."

He rolled his eyes, and started to stand up. I jumped off him, trying to avoid falling when he was standing. He was wearing black skinny jeans and one of his tee shirts.

The reason we both weren't on a bus was because it was TOUR BREAK time! Meaning, we had another week before we had to go live on a bus again. I looked back at Joe, who was looking more awake now. I opened my mouth to ask him what he wanted to do today, but I was cut off my my cell phone ringing.

I'm burnin' up, burnin' up for you ba-

"Hello?"

"Hey Sami." Nick's voice said back.

"Hi Nick! What's up?"

"Nothin', is Joe at your house?"

"Yep."

He sighed, as if Joe was some little kid he had to keep track of. Nick cracked me up sometimes. "Are you guys comin' over?"

"Yeah, we'll be right there."

"Okay, see you soon."

"Love you, Nick!"

"I love you too, Sami." He said, and then hung up.

"Joseph!" I said, turning back to him. "We're going to your house!"
