I was about to go to bed when this idea suddenly popped into my brain so I decided to just throw it out here and see what you girls think. =)
IT ALWAYS COMES AS A SURPRISE
“Please Mads, you’ve got to help me. I’d do ANYTHING” my best friend Nick pleaded.
I looked at him and raised my eyebrow. He sure was desperate to get a date with my sister, Aimee.
“Pleeeease Mads!” he whined as he got down on his knees and begged.
The other kids in the cafeteria were starting to give us looks. This was embarrassing.
“Fine. Okay, okay. I’ll try to see what I can do. Now please! Stand up! People are starting to stare!” I told him as I pulled him up.
“Thanks Mads! You’re the best!” he said as he quickly gave me a hug and he got back to his seat in front of me.
As I was taking a sip of my drink, I looked at my best friend who now had a silly grin on his face. I could tell how excited he was. I had just agreed to try to set him up with my 18-year old sister. It should be easy, right? Nick was a great guy. I’ve known him since we were both 8 and we’ve been best friends since then. We’re both 15 right now, but he’s turning 16 in a few days. He didn’t even seem 15 or 16. Tons of girls in school had a huge crush on him, but I didn’t really get it. Yeah, he’s cute and all, but to me, he was just my best friend Nick.
I tried to think of how I would convince Aimee to give Nick a chance.
Little did I know what I actually got myself into.
