Chapter 1: Building Hope {preview}
Callie sat on the hard concrete, thoughts of the her past relationship flooding through her mind. No matter what she did, he never had seemed quite happy with her. As if she wasn't got enough. Which made Callie question her being. She picked up a shard of glass off of the ground. She was never one to do this sort of thing, but.... She bit back a gasp as the glass teared across her arm. It hurt. Blood flowed from the wound, but Callie didn't dare move. As footsteps approached her, Callie couldn't help but think, Maybe it is my time to go.

Well some people woud call this a proulogue... but i call it a preview of Chapter 1 =)
It's kinda depressing and all, but oh well. Comment and more will be up maybe tonight.

Callie sat on the hard concrete, thoughts of the her past relationship flooding through her mind. No matter what she did, he never had seemed quite happy with her. As if she wasn't got enough. Which made Callie question her being. She picked up a shard of glass off of the ground. She was never one to do this sort of thing, but.... She bit back a gasp as the glass teared across her arm. It hurt. Blood flowed from the wound, but Callie didn't dare move. As footsteps approached her, Callie couldn't help but think, Maybe it is my time to go.
She turned her head slightly to catch a glanceof who was approaching her. A man. Tallish. Didn't matter. She laid down on the concrete and closed her eyes. It would all be better in Heaven... no, that was wishful thinking. She fell into a deep sleep, ( or was it more?) and didn't move an inch.
Beep, beep. Callie looked up. A hospital room. What was she doing here? She looked at her arm and recalled what she had done. There was now a patch on her arm. Hmm... maybe I passed out.
Callie heard someone whisper, "She's awake, she's awake!" Callie looked up and heaved a sigh. My past had come back to haunt her. It was HIS brother. "Go away," she muttered. "Huh?" he asked. "Go AWAY!" Callie screamed. "Callie..." He started. "Wait, Joe. No. Don't talk. Just listen," Callie said as Joe opened his mouth. "Kevin broke my heart, and ruined my life. This is HIS fault! I don't ever want to think of him again. And when I see you, I think of him. So scram," I sighed. Joe shrugged and left the room. I stared at the door. Joe had been nicer to me than Kevin. He and Nick always respected me, like Kevin didn't. I missed them. I shook off the thought. No, I didn't. Anything Kevin-related, including his relatives, was dead to me.

Nick and his most recent girlfriend, Jenna, sat in the Jonas' living room talking to Joe. "Joe, she doesn't want to affiliate herselves with us anymore. It's understandable. I can't believe Kevin did something like that to her, but you have to accept it," Nick said slowly. Jenna nodded, some unknown feeling showing in her eyes. "But.. he was such an idiot!" Joe exclaimed, slamming his fist on the table. Kevin had been inconsiderate, and very, very ridiculously stupid in his relationship with Callie. Joe felt bad for her. He didn't feel anything else. Maybe I can help her.
