Here's my part. It's pretty long since I put in two POVs. =P
-Rosalie’s POV-
“Can you believe it? We’re finally coming home after two years” I told Jayden as our plane landed.
Jayden and I used to live right here in Wyckoff, New Jersey before Sid signed us to Columbia Records. We had to move to California for our career and we haven’t been back here ever since.
“I know! We’re doing our first show here… ever. It’s about time!” she laughed. “I’m a little nervous though… I mean, I wonder how… they’re doing” she told me. I knew exactly who she was referring to. They were Joe, Kevin and Nick… three brothers who lived in the house right in between Jayden’s and mine. They used to be our best friends before this whole career thing. Kevin was two years older than Jayden, making him 20 now… 21 soon if I remember correctly. Joe was about two years younger than him and was a year older than Jayden. And Nick was the same age as me, 16.
“Me too” I said to Jayden. We’ve always wondered whatever happened to the boys. We managed to keep in touch with them when we moved to California, but after a few months, we never heard from them anymore. Sure, we got busy, but it’s not like we ever forgot them. It’s been two years but I know for sure that Jayden never felt the same way for anyone as she did with Joe. And truthfully, the same goes for my feelings with Nick. If only our friendship didn’t die on us…
-Nick’s POV-
“Nick! Joe! Kevin! Can you please come in here? I’m in the kitchen!” I heard mom yell as I was playing my guitar in my room.
I rushed downstairs to see my other two brothers sitting on the chairs with my mom holding a small envelope up.
“What’s up?” I asked as I sat beside Kevin.
It didn’t look like bad news since my mom had a huge smile on her face.
“I have a surprise for you guys” she said.
Our eyes then widened up, we were all wondering what was inside the envelope.
“Is it money?” I asked hopefully. I really needed to buy another guitar.
“Nope” my mom said as she shook her head, still with a smile on her face.
“Er, a letter?” Kevin guessed. “A letter from grandpa? Grandma?”
“No” mom said, shaking her head again, her grin getting bigger this time.
“It’s a car!” Joe yelled.
“Hi! I’m Kevin Jonas and I would like to sell you a car!” Joe suddenly said as he placed his thumb and pointer under Kevin’s chin.
Oh man, Joe definitely had too much sugar today.
“Like a car’s going to fit in that envelope Joe” I told him as I slapped the back of his head.
“Heeeey!” he retorted and was about to hit me back when mom spoke up.
“Boys, it’s not money, not a letter, and definitely not a car” mom said, laughing.
“Do you remember Jayden and Rosalie?” she asked.
My brothers and I suddenly had a combination of shocked, depressed and disgusted looks on our faces.
How could mom even ask that? Of course we remember them. Them being our best friends… That is until they got so caught up with their music career in California. Them being the first girls we’ve ever loved. Yeah, Joe loved Jayden. They were so obvious and oblivious to it at the same time. I loved Rosalie. Rosie, as I liked to call her. Sure, Rosie and I might have been only 14 when they left, but I was sure that I loved her, and sometimes I felt that maybe she liked me too. But I never found out because she and Jayden moved to California, and after that, they changed… A lot.
“Yeah. What about them mom?” Kevin asked, noticing how speechless Joe and I were.
“Well, they’re having a concert here in New Jersey. Tonight! And I got you boys tickets!” she said excitedly.
Oh man, how could we refuse mom’s gift seeing how excited she was about the whole thing.
“Cool!” Kevin said.
“Yeah, awesome. Thanks mom!” Joe said, with a little too much enthusiasm.
“Yeah mom. That’s great!” I added as all three of us hugged her which made her beam even more.
When my brothers and I got upstairs, we headed to the room that Joe and Kevin were sharing, and the real feelings came out.
“So not looking forward to this guys” Joe said as he plopped on his bed.
I groaned. “Neither am I”
“I know guys. Me too. I mean, yeah, living in California and being famous sure seemed to have changed them… But who knows... Maybe they haven't changed that much? I’m trying to be optimistic about it" Kevin said.
There was only one way to find out...
