haha this is why i asked you that question
=)
Hope you enjoy!
It started as any other day for me, get up go to work interview then go home. But who knew that this interview would change a lot.
“Well all those listeners out there, we have a special guest for you today Denise Jonas. All you Jonas Brother’s fans be jealous I am sitting next to the one in charge of it all!” I smiled as she went up to the mike as I flipped the switch to end the clapping.
“Thank you for having me here today, Sarah.” She said into the microphone. I nodded,
“It’s a pleasure, so let’s get down to business, what’s it like being the Jonas Brothers mom?” I asked sending her a glance
“Well it’s just like being any other mother; except we travel the country and I can’t enforce curfews on them.” She laughed at that last line, I smiled. Now I could see how the boys came to be, with a mom as sweet as this anybody would grow up to be sincere.
So the rest of the interview went on, I asked her questions and she answered them as sweet and kind as she could. “So listeners now its time for that I know you all have been waiting for, Denise are your boys single?”
She laughed “Well I know they don’t like me getting into there business but they all are except Nick,” She smiled
“Really?” I wasn’t ready for that, from what I had heard, the boys really don’t admit to that.
“Yes, Nick’s going to hate me for telling this story again. But it never gets old.” She gave a heat filled smile.
“Well listeners are you ready for this? Where about to here the story about how the youngest Jonas is no longer available.” Denise took a deep breath getting ready to tell her tale.
“We where bowling.” She began the smile still not leaving her face, “We really wanted a day to ourselves and so we stopped in a town and closed out a bowling ally. We got there and we had our time all planned and it was all set. But there was one problem.” I turned my head in confusion surely the Jonas’ had more then enough money to shut down the bowling ally, they make millions.
“A girl had her fifteenth birthday party planned there as just a fun birthday party as she put it. We didn’t have a heart make her cancel it and the boy’s really wanted to bowl. So we just played they put on there fake mustaches, the girls had a kick out of it.”
“Let me guess they ran into each other and it was love at first site?” I asked butting into her story.
“No not exactly, a little less fairy tale.”
“Oh I’m sorry for interrupting please continue.” She nodded her head, that smile still on her lips.
“The girl whose fifteenth birthday party it was, well she wasn’t a bowler. So it was right when Nick walked up to bowl she did too. She swung her arm back first and when she let go.” She paused as she began laughing at the remembrance of the story. “She let go of the ball and it bounced through 4 lanes and rolled to nicks, only to get a gutter ball. Nick was furious he needed a good bowl to beet Joe and well when it landed on his lane he wasn’t happy.” As she said that I just busted out laughing at the thought of a bowling ball going down so many lanes. But she quickly shushed me.
“He turned to her and started yelling, which made Kevin, there Dad stand up and start yelling at Nick to stop yelling at the girl. When Nick finally came to his senses, this is my favorite part; he turned and looked at the girl. She was down in tears.” I gasped causing her to stop the story, she just laughed, “Don’t worry the story has a happy ending.”
“Well that would explain the girl friend part.”
“When Nick saw the girl in tears his sensitive side turned on, he just ran up to her and pulled her into a big hug. You could barely here the girl mumbling sorry behind the tears. But you could here Nick telling her that he was sorry too. And before you know it they where on a date together the next day, and no sooner they where together.
I now knew the reason for her smile, “That is such a sweet story, I can tell you raised those boy’s well, at least he stopped yelling like some boys who don’t care if a girl cries.”
“That’s how I raise my boys, and if they ever did let a girl cry, they would be grounded.” She said as I herd the door behind me open,
“If you don’t mind me asking, what is her name?”
“Stephani,” A voice said behind me, turning around in my chair I came face to face to well face with the youngest Jonas Nick his hands interlaced with a girl who’s cheeks where a deep red. “Mom why do you always have to tell that story?”
“Because Nicholas it’s an amazing story, I could write it and make lots of money.”
“No its ok Mrs. J I don’t wanna relive the moment where I had to pay back the bowling ally for the broken lanes.” I laughed at that, the girl Stephai had a sweet smile, and seemed to fit Nick perfectly.
“I agree I think she could write it, I would be the first to by it.” I said smiling, “It was great having you here today Denise, I hope you can come back again.”
“It was fun being here.’ She said as she stood up, I quickly shook hands with her as she led the two teenagers out side.
“Well that was a great story time don’t you think?” I said into the microphone as the Jonas family passed by the window in front of where I sat, and that’s when I saw him.
Leading the group, ours eyes interlocked for a moment, his curls bouncing on his head.
Maybe everybody does have a happy ending.
