Trick or Treat
The almost eighteen year old girl looks over at her boyfriend and his brothers and shakes her head.
“There is no way that I am taking Frankie, James, and Jay trick or treating alone.”
“Come on Steph,” Kevin wrapped his arms around his girlfriend and kissed her forehead softly.
“No. Nice try you three are free tonight you are coming with me,” Stephani says standing her ground.
“Steph,” Nick lets out a groan but Joe looks excited to be going with her.
“Can I be the HULK? OH WAIT A WRESTLER! CAN I BE THE HULK AS A WRESTLER.”
Joe is hurriedly running around the house trying to find a costume and apparently found a hulk and wrestler costume.
“Babe do we really have to go with you. Joe will go,” Kevin smiles at Stephani causing the younger girl to pull away from his grasp.
“Um Paul Kevin Jonas the Second! I want to spend time with you my boyfriend who I haven’t really seen in like two months. It’s one of the first real breaks you’ve had in like a year Kevin. I don’t want to spend it with Joe. I want to spend it with you.”
Kevin sighs, it was true this was one of the first breaks they had all year. And he did miss spending time with Stephani.
“Fine on one condition, I don’t have to wear a stupid costume.”
“Okay but just to warn you I’m going as Kevin Jonas’s girlfriend. So be jealous.”
Kevin lets out a laugh then pulls Stephani into a kiss causing six voices to all call ew. Pulling away with a laugh Stephani looks to the side and spots three of the causes, Frankie, James and her own little brother Jay. Kevin looks to the other side and spots Nick, Joe and Nick’s girlfriend Libby.
“Libby you gonna come trick or treating with us tonight?”
Stephani happily bounds over to the girl, she can’t help but like Libby, despite the age difference the two were close.
“OOH can I be Nick Jonas!”
“Babe I’m going as Nick Jonas.”
Libby pouts at Nick and lets out a sigh.
“What can I be then?”
“I don’t know…”
Stephani starts to ponder what Libby could be and then Joe speaks up.
“You could be a WRESTLER OR A HULK OR A HULK WRESTLER.”
“What are you ten?”
“I’m eight and I’m not that bad.”
Frankie’s words cause everyone in the room to laugh. Hours pass and soon it’s time for everyone to go out, to take Frankie, James and Jay trick or treating.
Out of all the ‘adults’ Joe is the only one in a real costume, dressed up as a sumo wrestler, thanks to some crazy fan who threw a suit onstage one day. Stephani is wearing a pair of skinny jeans and a graphic t-shirt, a vest over the shirt showing only a few words and a pair of black ray bans on her face. Libby is also dressed in skinny jeans and a t-shirt, both of which were stolen from Nick’s closet and about three sizes to big, but she didn’t actually care, she loved his clothing. Nick was wearing what he had been wearing all day a pair of blue skinny jeans and a white t-shirt with an oversized pocket. Kevin was wearing a pair of skinny jeans, a button up shirt and a vest, also hiding his eyes behind ray-bans his white in color, and a hat on his head.
The three little kids were all dressed as different as could be. Frankie was a power ranger, the green ranger to be exact. James was a love bug, wearing a lady bug outfit but instead of dots they were hearts. He got told multiple times before he left the house how adorable he was. And Jay was Spiderman, he had a slight obsession with the superhero.
Maya walked into the house moments before everyone left and couldn’t help but laugh. They were an odd bunch for sure.
“We’ll be back by ten. If Joe has too much candy… I’m giving it to you to hide. And have fun handing out candy to the little kiddies.”
By eight thirty, half an hour after they left the house, Stephani was laughing to hard to breath all the little kids actually believing them when they said that they weren’t really the Jonas Brothers.
“Oooh let’s go to that house.”
Joe hurriedly runs up the front steps almost falling multiple times as he trips over his own suit. They knock on the door and when it is pulled open by a tall slim girl Stephani can’t help but laugh, she looked exactly like the female version of Joe. Well minus the sumo suit.
“Trick or Treat!”
Despite the sound of four voices chiming the words all the girl inside could see was Joe, the sumo suit was a little too big to see anything else.
“Aren’t you a little old to be trick or treating?”
Joe looks insulted and sulks back to behind everyone else as Frankie, James and Jay get their candy.
“Hey come back up here. I might as well give you candy your too cute not too. But you’ve got to be like eighteen at least.”
“Nineteen.”
Joe pouts but walks forward and gets his candy happily.
“What about the rest of you?”
“No thanks. And you really didn’t have to give him candy, he’s suckered every house into giving him some cause they all told him no he was too old at first.”
“Well I mean I have lots of candy left. I’m Brittany by the way.”
“I’m Stephani… this is just a guess and you can totally tell me I’m wrong if I am… but are you Joe Jonas?”
“Yea I think I pull it off really well. What about you?”
“Perfectly.”
Stephani smiles over at Joe who is looking Brittany over, as if trying to decide that she really looks like he does.
“Oh let’s get a picture together.”
Joe walks over to Brittany and makes a funny face as Brittany does a classic Joe smile.
“Wow you even got his smile down…”
“Thanks I worked really hard…”
“Oh we can tell. Come on guys we still have lots of houses to hit.”
As they walked next door Stephani couldn’t help but chuckle and know that tomorrow morning Brittany would get the surprise of a lifetime. They played the trick that night but tomorrow would be the treat.
“TRICK OR TREAT!”
