Intro

Kevin’s P.O.V.

Hi. My name’s Kevin. Most of you know me as the oldest Jonas Brother from when I was younger. Well, that was 14 years ago. I now work as a detective along with my brothers, Joe and Nick. It’s not exactly the same as touring, but I kind of think it’s a little more fun now that we’re older (and married). Anyways, one day we got a call about a mysterious string of kidnappings here in the state of California. Teenagers all across the area were disappearing without a trace. So that’s when we decided we had a job to do. Detective Paul Kevin Jonas II is on the case.

Chapter 1

Kevin’s P.O.V.

It was a night like all the others. The kids were in bed, and so was my wife, Rebekah. I was the only one awake, just watching those funny Japanese game shows were people fall off logs, the only thing on at 3 a.m. Nothing was going to make me fall asleep tonight, probably because I had just got home from Starbucks’ coffee. It was tiring being a detective, but you get used to it…eventually. But I had only started a week ago, and so far, no exciting mysteries had come up. Nothing at all. Except for the occasional missing black lab case. Boring. But tonight, I hoped that would change.
Before I knew it, I had fallen asleep on the couch. I was so tired, it wasn’t even funny. I soon woke up, realizing that it was 5 ‘o clock now. So I dragged my lazy butt off of the couch and walked slowly over to the bed and lay down to try and salvage whatever was left of the nighttime.
Beep! Beep! Beep!
My alarm clock. How great. I got 2 hours of sleep. Well, it was better than nothing. I carefully emerged the bed, trying not to wake Rebekah, and marched down the hall to the kitchen to make some coffee. I usually just hung out at the police station until they called me with a case that needed solving, or sometimes they would call me at home if it was urgent.
“Good morning.” Rebekah said.
“Morning.” I replied, yawning.
“What are you doing up so early?” Suddenly, I remembered.
“I forgot to turn off my alarm clock.” Oh, yeah, I forgot: Today was Saturday. I didn’t have to go to work. Oops. My bad.
