Yay for all the love...you guys make me happy, and you make me grin like an idiot. But that's cool.
So here is
Chapter Quattro Part B:
“This is AMAZING.” I grinned. “Aren’t you going to eat?” Nick questioned, noticing I had yet to eat anything. I opened my mouth to speak, but Joe decided to jump in and “help” me.
“She’s on a diet, trying to lose weight.”
“And you’re ok with this? She’s thin enough.” Kevin said to Joe, in father mode.
“Yeah, it’s fine with me.” Really, Joe? I shook my head.
“Joe, that’s really rude.” Nick said, getting into what was bound to be an argument. “She’s beautiful just the way she is.” He turned to me. “And you’ve been with him for a year? Psh…he may be my brother, but I’d have kicked his a.ss for saying that to me.”
“Yeah, Joe. That’s harsh. You better be glad I love you.” I said, smacking him on the back of the head. Then I turned back to his brothers. “Actually, I have a really screwed up digestive system…which I am sure you don’t want to hear about, especially while you are eating. I will say this, though. My doctor has put me on a liquid diet…it’s a special formula that he gives me. Just to make sure I stay healthy and get all the nutrients I need, and so that I don’t mess up my system any more than it already is.” They bought this explanation.
“Hey, doofus. I think you owe Nisha an apology for insinuating that she needs to lose weight.” Kevin directed Joe.
“Sorry, Nish.” I gave him a forced smile and then went back to the kitchenette.
“Hey, I really am sorry. I didn’t know what else to say.” Joe followed me into the kitchenette. I knew his brothers had given him more grief for what he’d said…heightened hearing really comes in handy sometimes.
“Joe, give me some credit. I’ve lived among humans for centuries. I do have some tricks up my sleeve. I wasn’t turned yesterday, unlike someone I know.”
“Can I make it up to you?”
“Yeah, you can clean up in here and where you guys ate.” I paused, and smiled. “And you can let me beat you at that video game…in FRONT of your brothers.” He pouted.
