Ok, so I wrote this, for no other reason than to answer my own question. I was going to have Demi go as Tinker Bell, but yeah, she's still going as a Disney character, so the lameness still lives on.
Chapter 17
“Demi, Demi, Demi!” Joe dragged me across the room to a girl dressed as Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas.
“Joe! Joe! Joe!” She mocked.
“Nisha, this is Demi. Demi, this is Nisha, my girlfriend.” I smiled and shook her outstretched hand.
“Demi!” Selena and Miley both approached and gave her a hug. Nick and Kevin followed.
“Everything ok, Nisha?” Kevin asked. Seems he had been filled in on what had happened earlier.
“Now it is.” I smiled.
“What happened?” Demi asked. I sighed in frustration as Miley and Selena proceeded to fill her in as well. “Wow, Joe.”
“I know, I know. I’m a jerk. Can we move on?”
“How about you and I dance?” I asked, not giving him time to respond before I pulled him towards the dance floor. A slow song came on, and we started moving to the beat.
“Thanks.”
“No problem. Just don’t let it happen again, ok?” He smiled. “So, I take it you and Demi are close?”
“Yeah. She’s like my best female friend EVER. Well, I mean, she was. Now, I have you.”
“Joe, that has got to be the nicest almost compliment I’ve ever received.”
