OK...I am procrastinating and delaying the inevitable...aka...STILL have no clue what they are doing on their date. But here is the next chapter. I have to update the links on the first page, and then try to get the rest of my homework done. Hopefully, it wont take too long, so I should be back soon. (I hope) Anyway, a huge thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who reads this ff.
[ps...I'm at ten posts too...definitely easier for me...but for reading Belles fics, I go to 20 posts per page, cause there's just so many of them]
Chapter 14:
I jumped out of my car, and casually made my way to the front door of Zee’s apartment. I raised my hand to knock, but the door opened before I could. Zee grinned at me, and I took a moment to take in her appearance. Casual, but beautiful
“Alright, Rock-star. I’m ready. You ready?” She seemed to be a ball of energy, and I couldn’t help but feel energized just by being around her.
“Yeah, I’m ready.” I laughed. “Let’s go.”
“Can you tell me where we’re going NOW???” She whined playfully as we made the quick walk back to my car. I walked around and opened the door for her.
“Sorry, m’lady. Tis a secret.” She pouted and sat down. I closed her door and went around and climbed in myself.
“Is it very far away?”
“It’s a bit of a drive.” I confirmed. I backed out of her drive, and finally, we were on our way.
“So,” I fumbled to figure out just what to say to Zee. But this would be one boring day/date if we didn’t talk. “Is Zee your real name?”
“Ze’eva, actually. And don’t confuse it with Ziva. It may sound similar, but I’m no character on NCIS—even though I ADORE that show.” She laughed. “That’s why I go by Zee. It’s easier to say.”
“Ze’eva is a pretty name.”
“Thanks.” I didn’t even have to glance over to know she was blushing. “What about you? What’s your full name, Rock-star?”
“Nicholas Jerry Jonas.”
“Nice. Not as pretty as mine, but still nice.” I laughed. “And you have three brothers?”
“Yup. Two older, one younger. But I’m the youngest one in the band.” She was thinking up her next question, when I jumped in. “What’s your favorite car?”
“Easy. Hands down, a ’61 Vette. Yeah, some people have tried to talk me out of it *cough*Tim*cough*, but I have fallen and fallen hard for the Corvette. She will always hold a special place in my heart.” She paused. “Enough about cars. I’m trying not to scare you off, remember?”
“Wait. How did you end up with a name like Ze’eva, and your brother’s name is Tim?” She chuckled.
“Dad named the girls, mom named the boys.” I laughed.
“Do you listen to our music?” Out of the corner of my eye, I saw her blush. “You do, don’t you?”
“Maybe a little.” She admitted. “But I like music, in general. Well, except for those high-pitched, screaming noises some bands call music. I cannot stand that crap.”
“Ok. So, what’s your favorite thing to do, other than working as a mechanic?”
“I like to go off by myself. Do a little soul-searching every now and then. Get back to nature, if you will. Reconnect. I dunno how to explain it.” She waited a beat. “What about you? When you’re not making music, what do you like to do?”
“Well, I like spending time with my family. Although, recently, I’ve been finding myself growing more and more jealous of my brother, Joe.”
“Over?” She asked.
“Well, he’s got this girl…”
“You like his girlfriend?”
“As a sister.” I amended quickly. “I’m just jealous that he’s found someone he wants to spend the rest of his life with.”
“Oh, wow. But, I mean, that’s awesome, right? He loves her, she loves him. Right?”
“Right. I just…” I sighed. “What’s your favorite movie?”
“Real smooth, Rock-star. But I’ll let it pass. Lets see…” She poked my shoulder gently. “I would say, one of my favorite movies has to be Lucky Number Slevin.”
“That’s a pretty intense movie.” I commented.
“Well, I’m a pretty intense girl.” She laughed.
“You almost got that right. Try it this way…you’re pretty AND intense.”
“Well, aren’t you just the charmer.” I knew I was blushing.
