Ugh...its filler time
Chapter 16
“Thank you again for the best date I’ve ever been on.” She sighed, dreamily as I pulled into her drive. I got out and opened her door. She stood, and got this adorable nervous look on her face. “You wanna come in?” I nodded and followed her inside her apartment.
“Wow.” The last time I was here, man, I guess I didn’t really look around. There were pictures of wolves everywhere. Most of them hand painted. “Did you…”
“No, actually my mom did them. She was a brilliant artist. Although she kinda sucked at coming up with artistic names.” She laughed, and made her way to the kitchen. I followed. She turned on the light, and the quaintness of it all, watching her work at fixing coffee for us, made me smile.
“You’re adorable.” I don’t know what made me open my mouth. Most women don’t take it as a good sign when they’re called adorable. What was wrong with me? I guess she could sense my sudden panic, because she turned and gave me a slow smile.
“You’re pretty cute yourself, Rock-star.” She directed me to sit at her small table. She fixed us both a cup of coffee and sat down across from me. “So, what made you decide that I was worth calling again? I mean, the way you screamed at me when you left, I was pretty sure I’d never be seeing you again.”
“Yeah, about that, I really am sorry. I saw my credit card bill. I actually called my credit card company asking if they had messed up because my bill was supposed to be bigger. The guy laughed at me. Then I checked the invoice you gave me and I found out how stupid I really had been.” I explained, taking a sip of the coffee. It was pretty good.
“Yeah, well, don’t let it happen again.” She smirked at me, and drank from her own cup.
“Zee,” I sat down my cup, and I took her cup from her hands and sat it down. Then I took her hands in mine. “I had a wonderful time tonight. I was wondering, if maybe you’d want to do it again.”
“What, you wanna go to the same show tomorrow?” We laughed.
“No, I mean, would you be interested in dating me?”
“Exclusively?”
“If that’s what you want.”
“Well, I better break up with my other boyfriends first.” My eyes grew wide with shock. “Easy, Rock-star. Joking.”
“Well, I’m not.” I pouted, and she grinned. I tried to hold the pout, but I ended up grinning as well.
