"Joe, you're the weirdest person I have ever met." Katie said laughing as her best friend attempted to eat an ice cream cone from the bottom up.
With a drip of chocolate ice cream on his nose Joe Jonas looked over at his best friend. He stuck out his tongue as she continued giving him odd looks.
"Admit it, you're life would be duller than a Crayola crayon box without the sharpener if I wasn't around." he said matter-of-factly.
"What?" Katie said in a fit of laughter.
She bit a piece of her cone of before smiling, "But yes, I admit that without you, Joe Jonas my life would be as boring as a black and white Sunday morning cartoon."
Joe laughed as he tossed his half eaten ice cream cone in the nearest garbage can. "See, that is why you're my best friend." he said with a smirk on his face.
Katie just shook her head as Joe wrapped his arm around her shoulder and they walked away from the ice cream shop and onto the sidewalk.

Katie lay on Joe's couch watching the latest Harry Potter movie, but all she could focus on was the heart beat echoing in her ear. She felt a smile creep onto her face as she leaned in closer.
"Joe, you think we'll be friends forever?" she asked quietly.
Joe didn't answer but she looked up laughing at his sleeping face. She could feel his chest rising and falling as she snuggled against his body. She couldn't imagine anywhere else she'd rather be.

Joe was chasing after penguins on a dinosaur with Katie beside him when someone shook him awake. His eyes fluttered open as he focused on Katie's face. He smiled, thinking that he could get used to waking up to her face every day. He sat up on the couch as he rubbed his eyes yawning.
"How long was I out for?" he asked as he stretched his arms above his head.
Katie shrugged, "About five hours, it's four AM." she said with a glimmer in her eyes.
Joe shook his head, "You definitely amaze me Katie. Another early morning?" he asked.
"Well I want to see the sun rise, only a few more minutes I promise!" she said pouting.
Joe sighed as he made his way off the couch following Katie upstairs. The two opened the screen door and sat on the back porch. Katie hugged her legs to her chest as Joe lay beside her on the swing. She lay her head on his shoulder as her pulled her into his arms.

The sun peeked over the edge of the night sky as a blend of pale orange and vibrant yellow mixed with the navy coloured skyline. Sunrises were beautiful and something Katie loved to share with Joe. She looked over at him with a smile gracing her face.
He looked at her eyes as the sun rise reflected in her eyes, it was beautiful. And it was the moment where Joe let all the feelings he had attempted to suppress out and smiled down at her. In one second he connected his lips with hers, catching her off guard. She didn't pull away but deepened the kiss as the sun finished its ascent into the sky.
Only one thought flew through their minds.
