Bestfriend Forever
"Come on" she pleaded. "One hint? Please?"
He chuckled lightly and took her hand with his free hand.
"Love, you'll see" he said kissing her on the head.
They were only bestfriends. Nothing more. But people, they just kept on getting the wrong thoughts in their heads that they were dating. His brothers knew one day they would..
She pouted and folded her arms across her chest before her cell rang. His heart fell knowing who it was.
"Hey Jake.. um.. I'm with Joe" she said into the phone. "I don't know yet.. he's taking me somewhere.. for some surprise.." she said.
"I love you too Jake. Okay.. tomorrow at eight? Okay.. alright. See.." she stopped mid sentence and he saw her struggling to keep tears back in her dark chocolate brown eyes.
"Kay? What's wrong?" he asked worried.
She wiped the tears away, closed her phone and threw it her purse. She looked out the window.
"It's nothing.." she said quickly wiping more tears.
He felt angry now. How could he? She deserved better than this.. one day.. He stopped the car while she had managed to fall asleep. He hated waking her.. she looked so peaceful, so relaxed when she slept. And plus, she needed it. Those dark circles under her eyes showed that in the past few weeks, she hadn't gotten any sleep, partly because of him, and parly because of nightmares she always had.
He finally gave in and carried her out. He faced the large cottage alone and walked up to the front door. Struggling, he managed to open the door. He walked in and closed the door with his foot. It was everything they dreamed of one day having when they were younger. He owed her for this.
He took off her red converse and placed them next to his own black ones and walked upstairs to a room where he opened the door once again. He walked to the bed and placed her gently on. Once her head hit the pillows, her eyes opened revealing her dark chocolate brown eyes once more.
"Hm? Joe? Where are we?" she asked half awake as she sat up rubbing the sleep from her eyes. Once she was fully awake she looked alarmed. "Oh! It's beautiful!"
She leaned in and wrapped ehr arms around his waist. He sat down on the bed and rested his chin on top of her head and placed his arms around her.
"I owe you one love.." he whispered in her ear. "And even though your hart lies with someone else, you'll always be my bestfriend forever.."
