I looked at Kevin, his face was frozen. Tears were building up in both of our eyes.
“Ashlynn” Kevin whispered, as a tear fell on his cheek.
“I’m sorry Kevin,” I whispered, barely audible.
“But…..Why?” he asked me
“Because you would be gone a year at a time on your tours!” I yelled at him, frustrated that he wouldn’t understand.
“I know, and you know that I wish it wasn’t like that!” He yelled at me, more with sadness than with anger.
“Kevin, just sign the divorce papers” I told him, excausted from my tears.
Kevin looked at me, sadness taking over his entire face. He looked into my silver-blue eyes.
“You know I only want to make you happy” he whisperered.
My heart broke as he took the pen and signed the papers. Regret filled my entire body, but I knew it was worth it. I still loved him, and I knew he loved me. But it just seemed as if he cared about his music and all the girls screaming his name, more than me. More than the secret I needed to tell him.
