They are filming in Toronto, and Alyson Stoner is in the movie.
When they said they were going to be in a movie, I searched everything and found all this out. Heh. But it has a description on IMDB, but the casting is not correct.

OK, I love JB I really do, and Im so happy for them to get this chance! But I realy really wish it wasnt a DC movie cause, like, I dont want them to turn into DC Robots....I mean thats my opinion and I have a right to it. I just hope DC doesnt get their hands on JB and start turning them into Bubble-Gum-Pop like Hannah Montana. But Hey if theyre happy so am I! But I am really happy about the movie:D

Disney Channel first released an official press via its press release website DisneyChannelMedianet.com on 14 July 2007 to confirm the production of Camp Rock. The plot, writers, director and producer of this movie was also announced in this press. In addition, another 2008 DCOM named Minutemen starring Jason Dolley was also confirmed to begin production soon in the same press. [1] the Jonas Brothers said on their Myspace that they might be doing something with Camp Rock but did not give any specific information.

To me, it's like a High School Musical meets Cinderella. (Since the main girl has to work to pay for the fees). Cute idea.

In correspondence to the whole 'Disney romantic scenes' they haven't done very many kissing scenes. I think High School Musical 2 sort of kicked that off since the first one just had scenes which had the characters looking at each other.
