Billboard has an article on the upcoming album by the Jonas Brothers due to be released later this year.
According to the article Nick has to say the following about the new sound:
"is the same Jonas Brothers sound, but with just a couple more influences. We have some more Elvis Costello-type influences on it. There's a song called 'Be Be Good' which is definitely an Animals, Rascals type of influence and obviously, of course, the Beatles."

OMG that was like the longest name for a sing i have ever heard!!! lol but it sounds awesome!!
i cant wait to hear "dont take my heart and put it on the shelf" song now....lol

LOL Nicole I had the same reaction.
The plot thickens on the sound, huh?
I have heard Kevin describe it as "edgier, darker" and then "like Prince". Now Nick throws in Elvis Costello, the Rascals and the Animals. I wonder if Joe has another opinion on top of that? Awesome.
I can't wait to see the new songs on YouTube!!

I'm so happy that they're putting Nick's song on the album AND singing it on tour. That song makes me cry and I know I'm just gonna lose it when I finally get to go to the concert and see them perform that..

AHH yay they have a little bit longer on the cd AND they're gonna play it on tour!! i love that song, it makes me tear up when i hear it! omj i cant wait to hear "dont take my heart and put it on the shelf" it sounds awesome! its a really long title--but i cant wait to hear it live in less than a month!

wow i am so excited!!!!! i'm literally freaking out and cannot wait for the release of the new cd. beatle influences!!! yay! and i'm w/ all of you that "dont take my heart and put it on the shelf" song sound so sweet. when i read that i was like, "oh wow that's gonna be my new favorite song!" and "a little bit longer" makes me tear up...in a good way!
i hope that for the "look me in the eyes" tour people can videotape and put the songs on youtube so we can all know the lyrics long before the album is out. i am so proud of kevin, joe, nick, and the entire jonas family!!!!!!!!!

Oh, this is going to be AMAZING! I love the Animals, the Beatles, all those groups, and I'm so excited for JB coming out with this new album--gosh, it's going to be amazing!

JUST TO LET EVERYONE KNOW: YOU CAN DOWNLOAD PARTS OF THE NEW SONGS ON LIMEWIRE AND BEARSHARE BUT THEY ARE LIVE. I KNOW FOR SURE THAT DON'T TAKE MY HEART AND PUT IT ON THE SHELF IS ON LIMEWIRE BUT IT'S LIVE. PUSHING ME AWAY IS NOT AND I DONT KNOW ABOUT BE BE MINE.
