Chapter 1
“Are you sure you have to go??? I mean you could stay with us or something.” Nick said
“I can’t my parents really want me to go but you have no idea how much I really want to stay!!!!’’ Brooke said.
“All right.’’ Nick said. “I love you more than you could ever imagine, Brooke."
“I love you too, you mean so much to me Nick.” She said. Tears were threatening to spill down her cheeks, but she held them back.
Then they heard “Flight 66 to Paris now boarding” over the intercom. Time to say their last goodbyes.
Well I guess I better go my plane will be leaving soon.”
The gazed into each others eyes. The way they looked at each other could totally make you melt.
Nick looked as if he were about to say something but kissed Brooke instead. Brooke walked over to Kevin, Joe, Frankie, and her best friend Katie, hugged them and said good bye. She also said bye to Mr. And Mrs. Jonas.
“Goodbye, Nick.”
Bye, Brooke.” Nick said in almost a whisper.
Brooke turned and quickly walked to her plane, tears spilling down her cheeks.
A few Minutes later Nick watched his best friend and girlfriend leave for Europe. She was meeting her parents in Paris. A month ago her brother ran away from home after his best friend died in a car accident he ended up in France forgetting his Aunt Marcie lived there. His aunt found him and enrolled him in boarding school because he was in the middle of his junior year in high school it had been 2 month now and he decided he wanted to finish school in France so his parents decided they should put their house up for rent and live in Europe while David (Brooke’s brother) finished school, forcing Brooke to move too.
Chapter 2
Nick was really bummed.
“Come on, Nick, lighten up!!!”Joe said. “We’re leaving for our vacation house in the Florida Keys in 2 days!!!”
Yeah, dude!!!! I mean there will be surfing…
“Kevin, you can’t surf.” Joe interrupted.
“Whatever!! I can learn. Anyways there will be surfing, great food, we can go to the beach whenever we want, and there’ll probably be georgeous girls…”
Nick cut him off “Guys …just…”Nick sighed and lift the room. Mrs. Jonas came in.
“I overheard, sorry I didn’t mean to eavesdrop. Anyways, I think you guys should cool it,” their mom said. “Nick will come around, just give him time. And Kevin, I don’t think your comment about girls helped any.”
“You’re right mom,” Joe said.
“Yeah”
“Well have ya’ll started packing?”
Chapter 3
The plane landed in Florida at a not so crowded airport. Nick seemed to be a little less depressed now that they were in Florida. On the way to their vacation house Frankie was constantly talking and pointing at stuff.
“Uugghh,” Joe growled.
“Shut up Frankie!!!!!” Kevin yelled.
They were all tired from their trip because the got delayed in Miami. There was a huge storm and they had to stay overnight in the airport, and nobody got much sleep.
“Guys,” Mr. Jonas said loudly. “Joe there’s no need to growl like that your not an animal, Kevin yelling was absolutely unnecessary,you woke up your mother and Frankie, please, please be quiet just until we get there."
There was a chorus of “sorry’s”, and the rest of the ride was quiet.
( sorry for such a short boring chapter the next one is better I promise )
Chapter 4
They all walked into their vacation house.
“ Whoa!!!!!!” Joe exclaimed. “ This place is huge!!!!”
“Your names are on the doors to your rooms. I’m going to take a nap.” Mrs. Jonas told them.
So they all went upstairs to find their rooms. Joe walked into his room, his best friend Heidi Farris Hames was sitting on his bed.
“HEIDI!!!!” Joe said excitedly
Heidi ran over and hugged him.
“Hi, Joe. I haven’t seen you in forever!!” Heidi said.
“When did you get here???” Joe asked.
“I flew out early this morning,” Heidi replied.
“Your mom invited me to stay for a couple of weeks” Heidi said.
Heidi and Joe had liked each other forever but neither of them would admit it. Kevin thought it was because of their age difference. Joe thinks that everyone might make fun of them because he 19 and she’s 15.
Joe and Heidi walked over and sat on Joe’s bed he smiled at her and gave her a look that totally screamed “I LOVE YOU”. Heidi blushed.
“Why aye you looking at me like that?” Heidi asked.
“ Oh…..uhh…like what???” Joe stuttered.
“Oh never mind…..I’m so glad I could come,” she said.
“Me too,” Joe said.
They hugged each other again
* awkward silence *
“Soo… want to help me unpack and then we can go to the beach or something??” Joe asked.
“Sure,” Heidi answered.
Meanwhile Kevin headed downstairs to go to the beach but stopped by the kitchen first.
“Amy??? What are you doing here???Kevin asked.
“Well I came to see you of course” Kevin’s Fiancé replied.
“Well then why don’t we go to the beach???”
“Mkay”
Nick went into the living room to watch TV. his mom came in.
“I didn’t invite one of your friends to come and stay with us because a new family just moved in 2 houses down the street and I heard they have 2 kids your age. I thought you’d like to meet them so I invited them over for dinner tonight.
“ Oh….k. Nick said with a hint of sadness in his voice.
“I know you’re disappointed but I think you should at least meet them o.k.??? And if you don’t like them very much then I will invite whoever you want to come stay with us…Deal??
“Alright mom”
“ Are you going to the beach with the others??”
“No I think I’ll take a nap I have a killer headache.”
“O.K. I’ll leave you alone now but be sure to be ready for dinner at 6:30”
Chapter 5
* At the beach*
Joe and Heidi were at the beach now and Joe was dying to tell her how he felt about her. The met up with Kevin and Amy and had a picnic lunch with them. Kevin and Amy had gone walking down the beach and left Joe and Heidi alone
“ Uh…Heidi I Ummm…can i ask you something??
“Ok,”she said curiously.
“Do you want to walk down the beach???”
“Uhhhh…yeah sure but is that what you wanted to ask me???”
“Haha, no”
They stood up and started walking it was quiet for a few minutes.
“Joe, you still haven’t asked me anything,or said anythinh for thay matter" Heidi said.
“Well…umm..Oh look there’s a crab.
“Joe.”
“Sorry, I don’t know why it’s so hard to tell you this."Joe took a deep breath." I really like you and I have for a while. I just haven’t gotten up the nerve to tell you but I love you,Heidi.And I need to know how you really feel about me.”
“I…I really like you too and I never thought you actually really liked me as more than a friend.”
They stopped walking and Joe kissed her right in the middle of the beach, neither one of them caring that most of the people around them were staring. They hear someone yell “AWWWWW”. The looked at each other and laughed.
“We should probably go somewhere else,” Joe said.
“Haha Yeah”
So the started walking back to where they left heir stuff. When they got there Heidi took off her t-shirt reavealing her plain hot pink bathing suit and grabbed Joes hand and pulled him toward the water. When they were about knee deep, Joe pulled her close and they kissed again.
“You have no idea how long I’ve wanted this,” Heidi said softly.
Yeah, I know” Joe said “ I’ve wanted you ever since 10th grade.”
“Well it took ya long enough,” Heidi said jokingly
They both laughed.
They got out of the water and sat down on their towels. Joe put his arm around Heidi and Heidi rested her head on his shoulder. Shortly, Kevin and Amy came back. They were still sitting in the same position,
“Are ya’ll like together now??” Amy asked when she saw them.
“Finally Joe!!!” Kevin said.
Joe and Heidi looked at each other and smiled,
Heidi said,” Well did ya’ll have a good time???? I know we did.”
Kevin and Amy looked at each other and smiled.
“We had a great time Kevin said romantically.
“Well we better all go back home. Amy said.
“Yeah, I heard we have dinner guest.
