Chapter 1
"OMJ! I won! I won a day with the Jonas Brothers!" Lindsey screamed. "Ok, ok, calm down. Now, what's wrong?" her mom said slightly irritated. "I won the contest mom! The one where you get to spend the day with the Jonas Brothers!" "Oh. Well, you're going to have to tell me more about it before you can go," her mom replied, clearly not a fan of the Jonas Brothers. "Don't worry mom, the deets are coming in the mail," Lindsey said, trying to contain herself. "well, don't get too excited I still have to know everything that's happening. Oh, and Lindsey? What did I tell you about using deets instead of using details. You're going to make it a habit and you won't get anywhere in life." Mothers, Lindsey thought. Her mother was the most uptight woman alive. Everything had to be planned ahead of time with her knowing exactly what was going on, and everything was old-fashioned. Her mom was a grammar teacher, which exlained why she got so angry when Lindsey used "deets" instead of details. "Sorry mom, I'm just really excited." "I know honey. How about I make a deal with you. As long as your room is clean and you keep up with your chores and I know exactly what is going on and when with this Jonas Brothers thing, you may go. But only under those conditions, ok? "Yes mom! Thank you so much!" "don't thank me yet until it happens".
Chapter 2
"I can't believe I'm going to meet the Jonas Brothers! And spend a whole day with them", Lindsey told her best friend Sarah. "Yeah, I know. And the best part is that you're so nice and such a good friend that you're letting me come along," Sarah replied. "Girls, the limo is here," Lindsey's mother said. AHHH!!!!! They both screamed. Than they burst out laughing. They were so girly girls. There was a knock at the door. Lindsey opened the door to come face to face with the three hottest guys on the planet.
"Hi you must be Lindsey," Joe said. "Nice to meet you," Kevin said. Nick just stood there looking starstruck at Lindsey. Nick finally snapped back to reality. "Oh, yeah. Nice to meet you." "This is my BFF Sarah. She's coming with us". "Oh that's cool." Joe froze. Now it was Joe's turn looking starstruck, but this time it was from looking at Sarah. "Joe. Joe? Oh, he must be visting his home planet Neptune," Nick joked, trying to act cool around Lindsey. "Hey," Joe said when he finally realized Nick had just made fun of him. Suddenly Big Rob came up to the door. "We got to get going if we want to make it to the photoshoot on time," he said. "Oh right," Nick said. All five of them walked out and got into the limo.
At the photoshoot, the girls sat around watching the Jonas Brothers photoshoot. They laughed whenever the photographer made them make funny poses. Just then Nick came behind Lindsey. "Having fun?" Nick asked. "Yeah, this is awesome." "I'm glad you're enjoying it. After this we are going to go get some ice cream. Then we are going to do a soundcheck for our concert". "Sounds fun." "Ok I'll see in a little bit. I have to change back to my othr outfit." Nick said winking at her as he walked away. "OMJ he is totally flirting with you," Sarah said as soon as he was out of earshot. "No he isn't," Lindsey replied her face getting red with embarrassment. "Yes, he is. I wouldn't be surprised if he asked you to be his girlfriend." "Oh please. He's got a million other girls to choose from and yoiu seriously think he is going to choose me?" "Yes!!" "Ok, Srah, I luv you to death, but this time you ae acting a little dumb. He's just being nice. Thanks for the encouragement, but It won't help work a miracle." Just then Nick entered the room "Hey can I talk to you in private Lindsey?" "Sure." Nick brought Lindsey into a different room. "Even though I have only known you for a short time, I love you. I believe in love at first sight and I have found it, Lindsey, will you be my girlfriend?"
Chapter 3
"Uh.." Lindsey was speechless. "Is that a yes?" Nick asked. "I don't know," Lindsey replied, finally able to speak. "My mom won't let me date, no metter how much I want to." "Oh," Nick said disappointed. "Well, maybe I can be your girlfriend. I just won't tell my mom. If she ever found out, she'd freak." "I usually am the guy that likes to follow the rules but I don't mind breaking this one." Nick said smiling. "So..." Lindsey said awkwardly. Nick quickly kissed her on the lips.
Nick and Lindsey went back holding hands. "Ooooh. I knew it. I knew you liked her!!!!!", Joe said. "Shut up," Nick said. Sarah flashed Lindsey a told-you-so look from across the room. Lindsey flashed another back at her saying, don't even. "Well, come one guys we going to get some ice cream and then go do our soundcheck," Kevin said, rushing them along "The only reason you want to go get ice cream is because your meeting your girlfriend, Skye there," Joe said. "Well, now Nick has a girlfriend and you are the only one single. Doesn't that make you feel a little awkward to be joking around?" Kevin said. "No, because I won't be single for long," Joe said winking at Sarah.
Chapter 4
At the soundcheck Lindsey, Sarah, and Skye sat in the practically empty arena while the boys were doing their soundcheck. They sang "S.O.S." and "Hold On". When they got to "Hello Beautiful", Nick was looking at Lindsey the whole time, Joe was looking at Sarah, and Kevin was looking at Skye. Aftyer the soundcheck, the girls went backstage. "That was great!" Lindsey said running up to Nick. "So what did you think Sarah?" Joe asked. "I thought it was the best soundcheck ever!" "Cool. Hey can I talk to you in the other room for a sec?" Joe asked. "Sure," Sarah said. Lindsey shot Sarah a look that said, he's going to ask you out. Sarah rolled her eyes. "So what's up?" Sarah asked. "Um.. well...." Joe stuttered. "Spit it out Joe! I bet it's not that hard to say!" Sarah said. "Ok. Do you wann be my girlfriend?" Joe said quickly. "YES!!!!" Sarah said. "Good. I had trouble asking because I didn't know if you like me the wayI liked you," Joe said a little embarrassed. "For a boy who is good at giving signals, you sure don't pick up on girl's signals too well," Sarah said. "Well, I think I was blinded by your beauty so I couldn't tell," Joe replied. Sarah turned bright red. "And they call Kevin the cute romantic one?", Sarah said laughing. "Are you guys ready? We are going to go get somthing to eat before the show," Kevin said. It turned out he was standing right there the entire time. "Thanks for the privacy Kev," Joe said meanly. He took Sarah's hand and they walked back to where the others were. This time it was Lindsey who shot the I told-you-so look. Sarah simply ignored her.
Chapter 5
After the concert, Sarah and Lindsey hung out with the Jonas Brothers. "Lindsey, can I ask you something?" Nick asked. "Sure what is it?" Lindsey said. "Um well we're going on tour and I was wondering if you wanted to come along with us," Nick said. "Yes!!! OMJ, this is awesome." Lindsey was ecstatic. "Joe asked Sarah and she's coming with us too." Could this get any better? Lindsey thought. Hanging out and going on tour with the Jonas Brothers. Plus, her best friend would be hanging out with them too. Lindsey didn't think this was actually happening.
"No," her mother said. "What?! This is like a-once-in-a-lifetime chance. They asked me to go on tour with them!" "I heard what they said and I say no. You will be too far behind on schoolwork." "UGH! This is so unfair!" "Life isn't always fair. Have them drop you off at the house." "I hate you." "Well, I am sorry you feel that way," Lindsey hung up. "What's wrong?" Nick asked. "Nothing, I was just making sure it was okay to go on tour with you guys" "So, what did she say?" "She said it was fine," Lindsey hated lying but she was not going to let this opportumity pass. Her mom couldn't do anything about it. By tomorrow she would be long gone. She was going to enjoy it.
Chapter 6
Lindsey was the last one to wake up on the Jonas Brothers tour bus. Immediately she remembered what had happened the night before and felt guitly rush over her. Oh well, she thought. It's too late to turn back now. "Hey, you're up", Nick said. "Yep. What time is it?", Lindsey said, still a little drowsy. "12:30pm. You slept for a while. Even Joe is up." Nick said. He walked out of the room so Lindsey could change. She put on jeans of the dark wash variety, a purple V-neck with a metallic guitar printed across it, and gold flats. She felt pretty good, and forgot about her mom when the phone rang. The caller Id read, "Mom, Speed dial #1" She felt panic rising up in her stomach. She quickly and quietly turned off her phone. She put it in her bag and left to meet up with Nick.
Chapter 7
"Are you ok", Nick asked. He always seemed to know when Lindsey was upset. "I'm fine", Lindsey said with a fake smile on her face. "Ok. Well, we are going for our soundcheck right now and then we will get some dinner", Nick said. For the soundcheck, the Jonas Brothers sang "Please Be Mine" and "Just Friends". They had made reservations for a fancy restuarant. The rest of the night went on as a blur for Lindsey. She couldn't stop feeling guilty about lying and sneaking. She felt worse because she lied to Nick, who was completely and totally honest with her. They went back to the tour bus, and to the hotel because they were staying in that state for 3 days. When they got there, Lindsey found herself staring right into her mother's angry eyes.
Chapter 8
"Hey, what's your mom doing here?" Joe asked. "I have no idea." Lindsey was full of panic and fear. "Lindsey Arabelle Kensington, we are going home. NOW. You are grounded forever. Or at least until you move out", Lindsey's mother said. "What's going on here?" Nick said. "What's going on here is YOU were supposed to take Lindsey home because I didn't want her going on tour with you guys and missing a TON of schoolwork", Lindsey's mom said, annoyed. "Lindsey told me you were ok with it," Nick said looking angry, and betrayed. "Oh really?" She turned to Lindsey. "You not only lied to me,you lied to your boyfriend. I feel like I don't even know you anymore. You are not the daughter I raised. Get in the car. NOW." Lindsey looked over at Nick. "Nick.." she began to say. Nick cut her off. "I trusted you. I thought we were completely and totally honest with each other", Nick said, his eyes full or hate, and betrayal. "I lide to you because I didn't want to hurt you," Lindsey managed to squeeze in. "Yeah? How do you think I feel now?" Nick fast-walked away to his room and slammed the door shut.
Chapter 9
The ride home was quiet. But Lindsey knew that as soon as they got home, her mom would yell at her until the cows came home ( just an expression ). Finally her mother siad, "I can't believe you lied to me. What's worse is that you lied to that nice boy. He cared about you and trusted you, and you let him down. You let us all down." Lindsey didn't dare answer. Besides, she didn't know what to say. She hadn't meant to hurt Nick. She was just so happy about everything that had happened, and she didn't want to go back to her mom and maybe never see Nick and spend time with him again. Now because, of this, she KNEW she would never see him again. "It's all my fault", Lindsey said quietly to herself in the backseat. Then she silently began to cry.
Chapter 10
Ugh, voicemail again, Lindsey thought. She had been trying to contact Nick to apologize for two weeks now, but he wasn't answering his phone and wouldn't reply to her messages. He had been ignoring her completely. Surprisingly, she was only grounded for a month, and sitill had phone privledges. But who would she call? All her friends were gone on vacation, and the person she cared the most about now wanted nothing to do with her. She had never been more depressed in her life.
She grabbed a pair of scissors and was ready to cut herself. I don't have Nick, she thought. I hurt the person I cared about the most. She put the scissors on her pale wrist, but she couldn't bring herself to go through with it. Instead she threw the scissors across the floor, jumped on her bed, and started to cry.
Chapter 11
When Lindsey finally calmed herself down to the point she could show her face, she went downstairs to get some orange juice. She was about to go back up to her room to sulk some more when the doorbell rang. She went to go see who it was.
"Hey." The person at the door was Nick. "Hey. What are you doing here?", Lindsey said, but not in a rude way. "Um...well, you left this in the bus and I figured you needed it back," Nick said. It was her toothbrush. She had packed up so quickly she forgot it. "Oh. Thanks," Lindsey replied. There was an awkward silence. "Um...listen. Can I talk to you a second outside?" Nick asked. "Sure," Lindsey replied confused.
Once they were outside, Nick began "Look Lindsey, I'm sorry about the way I acted on the tour bus. It's just... I have never loved someone they way I love you and I felt hurt when you lied to me. I would've understood if your mom said no. "No Nick, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to lie to you, I was just...so happy about being your girlfriend and spending time with you I didn't want anything to get in the way of that", Lindsey said. "How about we start fresh? A clean slate?", Nick asked. "I'd like that," Lindsey replied.
Nick grabbed hold of Lindsey's hands. "Lindsey, will you be my girlfriend?" Nick asked. "Yes," Lindsey said. "I love you Lindsey." "I love you too, Nick." Then they kissed.
It's finally here! Never Gonna Let You Go!
Never Going To Let You Go
Prologue
Lindsey and Nick have worked everything out and are back together. Lindsey's has also gotten back most of her priveldges from her mom. Oh, and Sarah and Joe and Skye and Kevin are still going strong. Everything is great until an unexpected ex re-enters the picture. Will Nick and Lindsey stay inseperable or is it goodnight and goodbye to their relationship forever?
Chapter 1
Lindsey sat on the tire swing in her backyard, her sidekick in hand. She was texting Nick, not a huge surprise these days. She laughed at something he texted and pressed reply, thinking of a witty comeback. She knew that she didn't have to impress Nick, but she still felt good when she was the one who made Nick laugh.
"Lindsey! Time for dinner!" her mother called.
"'Kay, be right there!" She replied. She said goodbye to Nick and went inside. They were having lasagna, her favorite. She set the table as her mom divided the lasagna onto plates.
"Lindsey, we are having a guest over tonight, so make sure to put out another set of silverware." She did as her mother asked without thinking anything of it.
Suddenly, the doorbell rang.
"Linds, why don't you get that honey?" her mother said with a smirk that said that something was up.
Lindsey ran to the door to find Nick standing in the doorway with one arm behind his back. She squealed and gave him a hug. He revealed the thing he was hiding behind his back - flowers. Orange tulips, Lindsey's absolute favorite. She blushed and led Nick into the kitchen.
"Oh! That was so thoughtful Nick. I'll go put those in a vase," her mother said with a wink, and Lindsey found out that it was planned and her mother had known all along he was coming.
"Thank you Mrs.Kensington," Nick said in a polite voice. Lindsey inaudibly sighed. His voice still made her melt everytime she heard it.
"Well, why don't you two sit down and I'll come and serve you?" Mrs. Kensington said.
"That would be great", Nick replied with his dazzling smile.
